Recently came to Coalhouse Pizza on a Friday night and it was packed! Definitely make reservations since this is a more popular night because they have live music. Luckily we were able to snag a seat at the bar. This is a more family friendly type of restaurant which is great if you're coming with a large group or children. I enjoyed my burger, but I think overall my husband and I thought the food was just okay. However, it is affordable so this can be a great place if you're looking to dine on a budget!

This place is really good. I read the reviews before I ventured out and they were pretty much on point. Except no one mentioned how awesome their Margaritas were. The Margaritas were delicious - a perfect blend. Originally my daughter said she was going because they had an extensive beer list but once she had the Margaritas she forgot about ordering a beer. I also ordered the little red rooster pizza pie and it was delicious. The crust was nice and soft and it had the right amount of cheese. I had the sweet thai chili wings and it had a nice crunch and was full of flavor. I am happy that I stopped in this restaurant. The wait staff was really nice and he informed us when he thought we had too many Margaritas but I wasn't counting them I was having a good time. They do have Happy Hour I believe its from 3-6pm in the bar area.

This review is based on the pizza I ordered from Coalhouse's sizable food truck at Third Place / Half Full Brewery. The pizza was exceptionally delicious (forgot the name: Vodka sauce, bacon, basil...) and looked the part as well.

Stamford holding out on the rest of the world with this one. Visited for a weekend and I was glad we stayed at an AirBnb only 5 minutes from here. We ordered the Sunny Side of the Street and the Bumpin' on Sunset. Stout-marinated figs? Like, BRUH. that's all you need to know about the witchcraft going on in here. Both pizzas were amazing and the Happy Hour only made it even better. The service was good and pretty attentive.

Excellent food, large portions & great staff. The bumpin on sunset was one of the most unique tasting pizzas I've tried.

Stop here most every chance I get. It's a pizza place, but I don't think I've ever had their pizza. The paninis are so good I just never got to the pies. Poppers were ok. Tried for the first time today. Not bad, but nothing I would repeat. The Cajun dry rub wings are always amazing. Huge pieces with a crunchy skin and slightly salty Cajun rub. They have various iterations of chicken paninis. I've had several, and haven't been disappointed with one yet. Today, the howling wolf. Grilled chicken, Mozz, red onions, bacon- delicious. Surprisingly they all seem to be a little better on wraps, but you do your thing. Service during midday is not super, but I've seen them on a busy Friday and they can usually keep everyone happy. Anyway, if you're in the area definitely worth a visit.

Can I give 6 stars?! We used to live in Stamford and absolutely love this hidden gem. When driving through this week, we HAD to stop for lunch. First, let's talk about the dry rub wings - best you can find anywhere!! Truly, SO GOOD! I love all of the sandwiches, you can not go wrong. I normally get them on a pressed wrap (which I think is the best way to order) but this time I tried it on a panini and it was still delicious. I got the Miles Davis sandwich, never disappoints and is such a large portion I could only eat half. Can't wait to go back, and trust me you need to try this spot!!!

Happened upon this place as 2 other restaurants I wanted to go to were closed. I hadn't wanted pizza but was resigned to that. How surprised I was to find that they had REALLY great salads! Inside the first room is ok, but then there is a larger room and then a back room with a full bar, TVs all around, nice jazz mural, visuals . Service was very good , although I gotta say it was not busy at the time I went off hours. I got the " mood indigo " salad and it was delicious! Good menu and good service . Lots of vegetarian options. I'll be back.

    Yuck!!!!

Although I've had great food dining at Coalhouse in the past, my most recent experience with delivery was disappointing. I found a huge bone when I bit into my pizza. It was the first slice, and my dinner was ruined. When I complained to Uber Eats, they subtracted that one item from the tab. They said they would let the restaurant know about the pizza, however they never reached out to me.

Once we were seated the waiter arrived asking about drinks which we declined in favor of bottled water, i ordered coffee as well and was offered 1 whole cup. Nobody came around for refill the rest of the meal We each ordered an appetizer and a main, both of our mains featuring 2sunny side up. 15 -20 minutes later BOTH entrees and my appetizer arrive WTF? After that our server just seemed to disappear. My daughter had hangar steak & eggs. I had the pork carnitas and eggs. Both our order's eggs were ordered sunny side up. Typically it's the yolks that are runny but both of our orders had runny whites as well. All this time we waited on the other appetizer to arrive. For a place that was not very busy the service was galactically awful. The food was passable but not great. The banana bread appetizer arrived as the busboy came to take our entree dishes. And that was after 2 reminders to our waiter (both appetizers were taken to go). Whoever is running this place (nobody game by asking how our meal was) should be embarrassed. When i spoke with our waiter about the abysmal service he passed it off on the busboy! There is no sense of teamwork nor pride in doing a good job. Sad.

All three were fantastic. The breakfast pizza had us craving more, and the oysters were fresh, delicious, and delicately shucked. I tried the chilaquiles and the short rib hash. The chilaquiles were very good, despite being a bit different from the red-sauce version I'm used to. But omg, the short rib hash was SO GOOD. This is an absolute killer dish. I've never been a huge fan of hollandaise sauce, but they put it on the side for me, and honestly, it blended extremely well with the flavors of the hash. The "5 O'Clock Somewhere" cocktail is refreshing and gave me a very light buzz that paired well with the delicious options we ordered. The staff is friendly and very attentive, and the spot itself is very clean, spacious, and stunning. I would definitely visit this spot again.

Today was the first time we've eaten here in years. We were seated immediately but we waited more than 40 minutes for the food to come. We watched people leave because they could not wait for their food any longer. At first, I thought a chef must have called out. When our food finally came, I was forced to look at the most unappealing home fries that were molded to the plastic container they were stored in. At least try to make them look fresh bru. And the whole restaurant was cold. I was cold. The food was cold. This place should be called COLD Street Diner, am I right? And the coffee refill came like once. In the whole hour and a half we were there. The only times someone would walk by was to clear a table, or that guy idk who he is idk if he's the owner but he was wearing balenciaga sweatpants and then he would just go stand by the register to sip on some wine. My mother ordered the huevos rancheros and they were bland asl. I ordered the birria omelette and it was BLAND EVERYTHING WAS BLAND!!! The birria was just wet it didn't taste like anything bro. We haven't been to the Norwalk location but a lady sitting next to us noticed that we weren't happy with our food and she was speculating that all the good cooks got transferred there. Whether it's the cooks to blame, or the fact that it's a busy Saturday, it's safe to say we will not be coming back.
