    Coalfire Pizza

Solid pizza shop! We were over by Buckingham fountain so we stopped by for a late lunch. We shared 2 apps: Foccacia with garlic butter and then another with burrata and kale. Soo good. Fabulous bread. It looks large but it's light and kind of airy. The butter was amazing! Somewhat of a whipped quality with fresh seasoning in it. And we shared 3 pizzas: stracciatella and sausage, nduja, and honey and salami. Everything was good. Ingredients are fresh. Really nice slightly charred flavor on the crust. They're thin slices but you can get full fast! Among 5 of us, we still had leftovers. It wasn't busy when we came in, but shortly after, it seemed folks from a pizza tour stopped in for a bit to try some slices. You do see the oven at the back. Nice touch. You can watch them cook the pizza. Parking around here is parallel. It seemed bumper to bumper but my cousin got a spot just a few steps away from the entrance.

Stopped in on a Sunday right at open since there was about 10 of us. We were seated right away and our server was fantastic! She was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. I had the pepperoni jalapeño, which was delicious. The crusts were crispy, pizza thin and not oily. It was perfect! I also tried the meatball pizza, which was very flavorful and the bacon jam, which was absolutely amazing. Cannot wait to go back and have that again. The caprese salad was delicious as well, but the tomato's could've been more fresh. Overall, the experience was great but the pricing is a little high, especially for the apps. The server was also nice enough to let us go behind the counter and check out the oven. I'll definitely be back to try some of the other pizzas.

This was the perfect spot for comfort food and an extended catchup with a friend. Very casual vibe, lighting is dim. Upon the server's recommendation we ordered the funghi as well as the stracciatella & sausage pizzas. They came out quickly and were full of flavor (read: garlic). I would have taken off one star because the price to size ratio seemed a little high (we were able to each finish one ourselves, though we were hungry). That said, the server was attentive and let us sit for a long time after eating, so for that I give kudos!

Food: Caesar and house salad. Vegan pizza (vegan pesto with all vegan toppings) & jalapeno pepperoni #2. Both salads were amazing - the Caesar was one of the best I've had. the pizza was delicious as well - Nice thin crust with great flavor sauce & toppings. Our waitress, Doreena, was super helpful in sharing the vegan options that were off menu. She was patient and made sure the kitchen knew the vegan request for our ask. The restaurant was a classic pizza spot setup and had low lighting and chill vibes. Would recommend for a quick, good meal if you're walking by!

Vibe is casual and no nonsense because the pizza is amazing!!! We love the ricotta whip, it is SO YUMMY! The pizzas are also easy to customize, vegetarian-friendly. We didn't love the broccoli appetizer, it's a cold item without much seasoning.

Still consistently good pizza! Ordered the black and white pizza for delivery and it came pretty quick. Was still hot upon delivery too.

If you're a fan of ultra-thin crust, Coalfire nails that crispiness--light and not greasy at all, which I appreciated. That said, the bottom was a little too charred for my taste. A touch more sauce would really round out the flavor without losing that signature crunch. Sodas were overly sweet--would love to see hot tea or a less sugary option on the menu to help cut through the richness of the pizza. Service was friendly and attentive, which made the visit enjoyable overall.

Pizza was a 3.75/5 would visit again. The style is a Neapolitan and New Haven hybrid. Crispy crunch crust edge with the slice having some flop. Had the jalepeno pepperoni which had berkshire pork pepperoni, house pickled jalapeño, mozzarella, garlic cream, stracciatella, and chives. Would return very good pizza

Yum! Meeting with friends in the area and discovered this adorable pizza place that serves thin crust pizza on empty tomato sauce tins. Unique variety of toppings like meatballs, beef pepperoni, ricotta and others. We had three pizzas for the five of us, just the right amount. Service was great and ambiance was perfect, not loud for a Thursday night.

Swapped pepperoni for mushrooms. So good.

In town for the weekend and found this lovely gem so we decided to stop in - we were not disappointed! Service was fast and friendly! We did have a hard time deciding which pizza to get as they all sounded fantastic, but decided on the Bacon Jam pizza. It was excellent! Place is small but inviting and we would definitely come back again!

One of the best pizzas I've had so far! My friend and I ordered the pepperoni and mushroom pizza for a picnic. I appreciate that coalfire allows you to order the pizza online for pickup. Upon arrival our pizza was not ready so the kind waiter gave us water while we wait for our pizza to be done. We took a slice out to eat before we left the restaurant and it was delicious the mushroom was super fresh and didn't make the crust/bottom of the pizza soggy.

It was mid-afternoon when we visited and I'd gone online to make a reservation prior to our visit, but that wasn't really necessary. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and shown to a booth in the back room...far away from the cold draft of the front door. Our server came over to take our drink orders right away and we ordered a Caesar salad to share. I found it odd that their Caesar comes with tomatoes, but it must be a Chicago thing because I saw that on the menu of another pizzeria that we visited while in town. The salad was delicious and we enjoyed every bite of it. We also ordered a small pepperoni pie (deep dish) and were surprised at just how small it was. It was almost like a personal size...but let me tell you, the personal size is tiny! One slice of the small pie nearly took up the space of the entire personal sized pie that we took home with us. While in-store, I signed up for their rewards program and got a coupon for a free personal sized pie, with some stipulations. It was to-go only and you had to spend at least $10, but our dine-in order could not count towards that total. It had to be processed as a separate transaction. That was no problem for us since we were headed back to our hotel and had a full kitchen there, we decided to order wings along with our free baby-sized pie to-go. The wings were phenomenal. Top tier. A+. Highly recommend! I actually preferred the sausage pie that we took home over the pepperoni pie, and that's not usually my vibe. I think something about the grease in the sausage lends itself to the moisture of the pie. The pepperoni pie was a little dry. Overall, we loved the atmosphere and the service, so we would definitely come back again in the future.

The second you walk in, the entire atmosphere just feels cozy, lively, welcoming, and honestly impossible to leave Between the views, the music, the energy, the smell of pizza coming out of the oven nonstop... it's genuinely one of our favorite spots in the city. We started with cocktails that were SO refreshing and perfectly made, then got surprised with burrata on the house which was such a sweet touch and absolutely incredible. Creamy, fresh, flavorful -- the kind of appetizer you immediately wish was twice the size because it disappears way too fast And then THE PIZZA. Their char pizza is seriously one of those pizzas you think about days later. Perfectly blistered crust, crispy edges, cheesy, saucy, with those little pepperoni cups that get crispy on top Every bite somehow tastes even better than the last and the crust alone deserves its own appreciation post honestly. As if we weren't already completely obsessed with the experience, they ALSO brought out flan on the house for dessert and WOW. Smooth, creamy, rich, perfectly balanced sweetness with the whipped cream and caramel... literally the perfect ending to such an amazing dinner.
