1/2 Thin Crust Bartoli's Chicago Classic Pizza + 1/2 Thin Crust The Diavolo Pizza

The pizza from here was pretty decent! We got 1/2 Bartoli's chicago classic and the other 1/2 the Diavolo. The Diavolo has a real kick to it so fair warning to those sensitive to spicy stuff. Toppings on both sides were generous and not skimpy. Overall pretty good thin crust which makes me want to order from them again! Their menu has some good items I would like to try!

I did an online order for pickup, and the pizza was ready before the promised time. I did show up way earlier and just sat down and patiently waited. This place gets really busy with pickup orders. At least about 10 people within a 10-15 minute window. The staff was great. Very friendly and efficient. I did enjoy seeing The Blues Brothers wall as well. It seemed to be a fan favorite. I ordered a large Deep Dish with Italian sausage. The pizza was definitely big and very filling. The crust was cooked perfectly and just the perfect amount of cheese and sausage. The sauce stood out to me the most. Nice and chunky, acidic and seasoned perfectly. Very flavorful which made the rest of the pizza stand out. I'll definitely need to ask for more sauce when I return.

Bartoli's remains my favorite neighborhood pizza joint, especially for their unique deep dish and affordable prices. While so many places have raised prices to the point where a pizza costs most than a steak dinner ($30+ for a thin crust cheese pie???), Bartoli's keeps the prices reasonable and the quality high. Their New York style is serviceable, perhaps not quite on the level of say Zaza's or Paulie Gee's Wicker Park, but certainly a nice alternative, especially when slices are available. For me, it's their deep dish, easily the most underrated in the city. Skip Lou's. Always skip Giordano's. This is the best deep dish crust, with excellent, "pully" cheese and a less sweet, slightly tangy sauce. I don't eat deep dish much, but every month or so I get a craving for Bartoli's and it never disappoints. Honestly, you could make a hell of an appetizer out of the crust and the sauce, it's that good. Looking forward to enjoying this delightful cheat meal for years to come!

I wish Yelp had the ability to do half stars because I'd give them a 3.5/5 if possible. First of all, the service is incredible and the interior was nice and clean. Dinner for 2- including an appetizer, pizza and dessert came to around $45 which is pretty affordable. Let's talk food: the wings were cooked well but wish they had more salt and pepper. They were good but not blow your mind good. The pizza had a nicely cooked thin crust but it did get oily and soggy the more you let it sit. I liked how the pizza was packed with meat but it was a hair too much cheese, but still delicious. For dessert, I tried their brownie (super rich and soft) and Eli's cheesecake was standard. Overall recommend checking them out if you're looking for a new pizza place to to try in lake-view.

Such a great pizza place. I forgot to take a picture before we at because it all looked so good. We normally do takeout and it is always very good. But there are a few inside tables and a few outside tables so this time we dined in. We sat inside and got such hot, delicious food. It's order at the counter, but we were checked on a few times. Great place to bring the kids and not stress about anything. They serve big slices as well as whole pizzas. Their spinach deep dish is my favorite in the city.

I would lay down my life for these motherfuckers. The best pizza I have ever had. Get it 2-3x a month and never disappoints.

Love both their thin and deep dish options. Great pie and crust. They also have slices for $5 which feels like a whole meal in one slice.

Pizzeria counter service vibes. Good ingredients done fairly well. It's competent. I'm not writing home about it but I'd come back.

Was not a fan of their deep dish, but their pasta dishes are delish. Service is always fast and friendly.

Speaking of the bar, I got myself a pint of the Golden Road Mango Cart, which did have a fragrance of mangoes. I was a bit annoyed the bartender asked for my ID thinking I was a high schooler (I guess white people in Chicago generally don't have any meaningful relationship with Asians compared to other major cities because this wasn't a one time thing - and I've been to a lot of cities), but at least he tried to smooth it out with a joke. Fine, moving on. I got myself a personal deep dish pizza, since this joint is known for their caramelized crust, although I did wish I got myself a small instead so I can have it delivered in the pan itself. Maybe next time, but I did eat the whole thing. The sauce was more on the bitter and acidic side. The toppings aren't layered and hiding underneath cheese like some other places, which is fine, but I did think it could've used more mushrooms and a more even distribution of toppings considering how thick the bread is. Overall it was worth going out of my way to try it once, as it was highly recommended to me, I'd say it takes #2 so far of all the pizza places I've tried in Chicago. Granted, I didn't have time or didn't come with anyone to share a bunch of things, but maybe next time.

They push the Mediterranean Bread, and honestly, you should let them. It's enormous, blistered, fragrant, and arrives like a hot air balloon made of carbs. More importantly, it gives you something genuinely delicious to tear into while you wait for the pizza pot pies to emerge from whatever subterranean chamber they're baked in. It's both a starter and a survival tool. A reservation is non‑negotiable unless you enjoy contemplating your own mortality in a weekend crowd. The wait times can stretch so long you could starve to death before your name is called -- and the regulars will nod knowingly as they step around your skeleton. Plan ahead. The salads are comically oversized, the kind of portions that make you wonder if they're meant for a family of four or a single very determined marathon runner. But let's be honest: no one is here for lettuce. We're all here for the pizza pot pie, that molten, bread‑wrapped, cheese‑laden dome of joy that defies every attempt at categorization. It's not deep dish, it's not thin crust -- it's its own thing entirely, and that's the point. This is the place you bring out‑of‑town guests when you want to show them something uniquely Chicago without defaulting to the usual deep‑dish suspects. But it's also the place you come back to on your own, because once you've had that pizza pot pie, it lives rent‑free in your brain until you return.
