I stopped by the Coach store today, while at the mall. I was looking for a purse charm gift for a friend. I was warmly greeted and helped when I walked in the store. The lovely sales associate took me to where all the purse charms were. They had a huge variety, which I was happy to see. The prices of the charms ranged from $20 to $95. I asked if they had a cat charm and she checked for me. They did have them at one point, but they sold out. She also checked online but it was sold out there as well. I was really interested in the cat charm specifically, for my friend, since she is a big cat lover. I did appreciate the help I received and looked around the store for a bit. I didn't see anything else that I needed. I have shopped here in the past for purses and really love the customer service they offer here. They really go out of their way to help you. read more

The staff are polite and friendly. This is a review of what seems to be coach's policy of selling returned or damaged products as new? I came in excited to purchase an empire 34 in the loved leather. The floor model looked pristine, and I purchased what I expected to be a newly wrapped bag. I thought it would be wrapped in styrofoam and plastic to protect it (usual for my other purchases). I took it home and removed it from the dust bag and saw two very noticeable nicks on the front of the bag that were not part of the purposeful distressing. I returned the next day and they showed me another bag without fuss. Expect that bag had handles bent sideways. I finally asked for one with straight handles and noticed it was actually wrapped in styrofoam (including the charms). The other two "new" bags were not and had obvious defects. I don't blame the ladies who were nothing but polite. But why would Coach headquarters allow the selling of obviously defensive products in their new line and pass it off to the customer (when it looks worse than their flood Model)? Make sure you take a look at what you're purchasing whether it's wrapped or not. Don't take it home and expect to get something pristine. I really thought Coach was a mid-luxury brand. Came in earlier wanting a small everyday purse. Off the bat, the store was nice and had a lot of cute purses on display. Unfortunately the service was nonexistent. The moment I walked in, the workers were all in the middle of the store having a conversation and didn't greet me at all. They looked at me and continued on with their conversation. I looked for a while and only got greeted by one person after a few minutes of being there. I was watched but not helped. I was in the store for 5-10 minutes tops and just left. The vibes were off as if I just walked into a hangout spot that I was uninvited to. I ended up going to Saint Laurent and actually bought a bag... I came here with one thing in mind and I found it and paid within minutes so I can't say much about customer service other than while checking out Stephanie kindly asked if I wanted it wrapped which was a very sweet gesture and made the present that much better. As for the store, all of the new products drop here within weeks. Whatever is online you can easily find in the store and take a nice detailed look at. I purchased cologne for my boyfriend (total $92) today and also a wallet a few weeks ago. Very relaxed shopping experience where they're not constantly watching you like a hawk! Terrible customer service. Apparently when you purchase something with PayPal, you can't return the item to the store for refund. Instead, the sales associate took my items in a bag, wrote her phone number on an invoice and assured me I'd get a refund on 14 days. I have no way of proving to my bank that I actually returned my items in mint condition with this process - no tracking number, nothing. Associate was short, rude and not helpful. read more

It's at Suite 131 first floor now. I was walking in for two simple items, getting my wife's tags monogrammed or embossed at their store. I was hoping to go to Stanford location, however, the employee I spoke with over the phone gave me a runaround and told me the only way I can receive the complimentary monogram service was to purchase another purse from them. I walked in (Valleyfair location) and was immediately greeted by Edward. He was very friendly and welcoming. He informed me about their monogram service and how it works. He didn't pressure me to buy anything either. He called Jake who is trained to do the monogramming and he was awesome. Gave me more information about the service and types of leather it works on and doesn't work on. I walked around while waiting and ended up purchasing a gift for my wife. Both Edward and Jake took care of me and wrapped the gifts up. I generally don't shop at this store or location and from the amazing customer service I received today, I will be coming back! read more

Customer Service has left the building!! I'm still trying to put my head around how in 2022 we still haven't evolved as human-beings, we have yet to learn how to be kind to one another. I understand how people can be a bit ill-mannered being that many have been faced with unfortunate life changes in just the past few years. However; it is definitely a disservice to have employees who represent your brand in the worst of fashion. Not only a disservice to the customers who want a good shopping experience, but monetarily speaking when it comes to the business. You loose customers when you don't bother to show a bit of curtousy. Beware the stuffy, thoughtless, and rude atmosphere of this establishment may cause side effects. (1) Walking in and not being greeted or spoken to for the first 10 minutes will cause you to question if you should have walked in at all. (2) The employees gathered talking amongst themselves and not bothering to assist will turn the smile you walked in with into a frown. (3) When finally approached you will be met with a superficial glare and flippant responses, causing you to proceed to the exit with caution to never return. While out doing some celebratory shopping with my daughter and her friend, I decided to treat myself. I was looking for a small clutch and thought Coach would have some cute items. Walking in was so unwelcoming, the two employees chatting at the front of the store just looked up enough at me to hurry up and look back down. So I just continued on my own looking around while employees continued to walk past. Finally when approached by an sales associate was asked if I needed help. But they way she asked, the tone something was off. I responded to ask if they had a smaller version of this black clutch that was on display. She immediately said "you need to go to the outlet store." Apparently what I was asking for would be at an outlet store?? I couldn't gather if she was being informative or fictitious but the fact that I have to ponder over it probably means she wasn't being helpful or 100% honest. She then went on to say people with IPhones want the bag on display.. The tone of it all for some reason didn't sit well with me I honestly was offended. Her glare and tone was unpleasant. Yes I wasn't all dressed up or looking my Sundays finest but I got the impression that I wasn't of there specific "customer standards." However; I wasn't at all disheveled nor do I carry myself in such manner. But it really shouldn't have mattered what I looked like or what there perception was, all they should have thought was I am a potential sale. The sales associate didn't even bother to say we have different small clutches you may like, or attempt to show me anything similar at all. This store needs to get off its high horse. If Balenciaga can allow all walks of life into its store, with a line out the door you all at Coach need to pay attention. Coach employees really need to go take lessons on how to make sales and treat people respectfully. You don't know what's in people's wallets based off of ignorant preconceived beliefs. Avoid this Store, there are several other high-end stores right next door to spend your money with. I guarantee the service will be 100% better and you'll feel good about your spending. read more

The Coach brand used to represent something. It used to equate luxurious leather and quality workmanship. Instead of continuing to cater and upkeep their lovely brand, they cheapened themselves to attaching tacky C's onto fabric and selling cheapo purses so little teenyboppers can carry around a Coach purse. Gaudy gaudy gaudy cheap ugly crap here. The colors are horrendous and the styles are tacky for the price you pay on them. They used to have leather bags that were made in Italy. Now... you can find patchwork bags of every darned fabric they've ever printed made all sewn up in a multicolor bag in some sweatshot in China. Stay away from their "signature" crap. It's unfortunate I like Coach items because out of all the "high-end" stores in this section of Valley Fair Mall, this one has very poor customer service. I walked in to purchase two wallets and stood at the register, while one employee was helping another customer. There were 2 other employees and neither of them said anything about ringing me up or about the wait. I was waiting for 5 minutes with no one noticing me before I sat down on a chair waiting for all 3 to be done helping the other customer. I guess all hands needed to be on deck to help this customer? All they really needed to do was acknowledge my presence. I don't mind the wait. I eventually had to walk up and straight up said" I need someone to ring me up". I would've just walked out except I'd already decided on these wallets with my mom's help. What should have been an enjoyable experience getting gifts for my family left me in a sour mood. I came here a while back to look for a purse my fiancee was crazy about. Upon walking in, I was greeted by some old british lady who really wasn't helpful. I described the purse to her about 3 times and she kept trying to sell me something that didn't even resemble what I was describing to her. She kept asking me, "Are you sure it's not this one?" Zero star. This store is the reason I stopped using coach many years ago. I really wanted a pink leather bag there and it wasn't available for order. Because spoiled as I was, I must have whatever I wanted, I purchased the last item in display without carefully examining it. Due to the dim lighting in the store, I didn't notice the leather has discolored leaving a big white circle in the middle of the bag that is quite obvious in daylight. I took it back the next day to return it and the manager there refused to take it back, claiming it was damaged used goods. Excuse me, but there wasn't anything I could have done to the bag in a day that would make it damaged that way. How rude! And the tag was still on the bag so I obviously had not used it! It was a sign of poor workmanship and even worse customer service. Because of that, I took a look at my coach collection and realize they are also poor quality products, most of which had the tacky C's imprinted on it. The sandals I bought was expensive but unusable because they hurt like hell. I've donated all my coach products and moved onto real designers handbags. Sure, they're more expensive but they are of excellent quality and service. I can use them for years to come. Plus, you wont run into the risk encountering a duplicate at your local pho restaurant. =) The only coach product I keep now are my dog collars. Those are always my minions' favorites to chew on. Horrific service, avoid at all costs!!! I bought my mom a purse and wallet online with pickup here last weekend. My mom was delighted with the gift, but wanted a matching wallet. (The purse was Forrest green, but they did not have a green wallet, so I got a wallet that was black to match the interior). She found the matching green wallet at Macy's, so I purchased it and figured I'd just return the black wallet to Coach. Well, that was my mistake for assuming. I went to return the wallet to Coach and was told they wouldn't give me credit and that I'd have to mail it back to get credit in 1-2 weeks...wait, what?!? I picked it up from this store last weekend. So I asked for a manager who suggested I return the black wallet (which I had bought from Coach) to Macy's...wait, what?!? So after arguing for over 20 minutes they offered to give me store credit even though the wallet was brand new, had tags attached, and was well within their 30 day return window. I declined and told the manager I hadn't worn Coach since I was 16. I took the wallet back, letting everyone in the store know as loudly as I could that they don't accept returns according to their return policy. Stay away. Terrible, terrible service. read more

I went in tonight looking for a gift that was somewhat nonspecific, but definitely not up into the average price of the products that Coach peddles. Knowing that it's a luxury brand, my expectations were on the low side for this mission. Fortunately, mission was accomplished and the experience couldn't have been better. I have to first apologize for not remembering the salesperson's name. She was great, so I should have remembered, but I'm (get ready for cliche) horrible with names. Long dark hair just below the shoulder. Yeah that probably doesn't help at all, does it? In any case, I went in looking for what I described as "a simple, large bag". There's not much to work with there, is there? Hey, not really a fashionable person here. That description is pretty much what I was looking for. But yeah, nobody has that. Maybe a black & white comic strip has that. I was shown some options that may have worked. Was tempting. But here's the thing...unlike a lot of the other places I had just visited in Valley Fair, the salesperson here at Coach was not pushy at all. She genuinely seemed interested in just showing me the product. I felt comfortable. I didn't feel pressured to buy anything. Wow! This fact is freaking awesome, especially in this economy (I.T.E.)! I browsed around alone after thanking her and found a very nice wallet (albeit on my own), but their customer service stepped into high gear at this point... The display version of the wallet, which I guess I automatically assume was for sale had some scuffs on it, so I asked if they had any boxed in pristine condition out back. The previously mentioned salesperson checked and within 15s said they did, immediately took my name down, had them ring me up, and promised to show me the one I was buying in pristine condition. Long-winded story continues... I was rung up immediately and then guided to a comfy leather chair. My wallet was brought out, taken out of its fancy-looking packaging, looking perfect, and then she proceeded to gift wrap it for me. Beautiful box with bow and everything. Placed into a very stylish carryout paper bag. I felt like a million bucks and I didn't even buy the most expensive thing in the store! Thanks Coach! read more

I have really wained over time from being a Coach fan. I have never been a fan of the bags with the logos all over the place. But, I do like the tote style handbags they have. I had received a $100.00 of a $300.00 purchase in the mail, so I thought I would check things out. So, while I was living in Portland, I purchased an adorable red patent bag from the Coach store there. I am a total handbag junkie, so I don't always use the same handbag all the time. I had carried my little red patent bag maybe 3 or 4 times over the period of 90 days. I noticed that the patent was literally starting to chip away. I know this is very rare, as I have had a patent Coach bag before, and this did not happen at all. I brought the bag into the store, and was greeted by Anna. She immediately gave me my options, and I started to look around. I found another replacement that I totally loved, and within 10 minutes, I had my new bag and had exchanged my defective bag immediately. She was fantastic. The best customer service I have ever received in a Coach Store,,,,anywhere. I would suggest asking for her when you are looking in the store. She will help you find what you need, or help you if you are having any problems with your items!! read more

Walked into the store looking for a wristlet for my sister. I was being harrassed by sales associates left and right, no lie. I was getting irritated and was about to tell the last one to F off. I understand you're trying to make your commission, but you're also driving me away you nut bags! Found the perfect wristlet and took it up to the cashier. She was sooooo nice, helpful, pretty, and made my experience at the store go from shitty to superb! Never really liked small talk, but she brought it out of me. Kudos to you girl! Sales staff is very hit-and-miss here. I've been here a few times with my wife and came here alone to purchase some Christmas gifts. When I walked in, the friendly, smiley greeter (and you thought only Walmart had greeters) asked me how I was and if I needed any help... I showed her the photos on my iPhone of the things I wanted to buy for my wife and she reacted like this: "oh.. a handbag... hmm I'm not sure where those are..." After she walked around a bit, she said "oh I'm just the greeter. I'll get a sales staff member for you..." WTF?! The sales staff was not better. She might have been new. There is probably a lot of turnover here. She couldn't really find what I wanted, didn't know much about the products and what they were called, and I ended up getting just one small item. I decided to order the others online. The worst part probably was waiting for it to be gift wrapped. It took forever despite there being only 5 or 6 customers there. Another sales staff walked over and asked what I was waiting for.... I told her and she went in the back to bring out the wrapped item. It had probably been sitting there for 10 minutes without anyone noticing... nice. Advice to management: * Train your staff to know exactly what you sell... names, colors, styles, etc. They are clueless. * Train your staff to smile less and be more professional and serious. read more

They are always so helpful! I went in with a broken wallet (the snap fell out) and no receipt and they switched it out for me, with no hassle at all! Now every time I go in they recognize me and are very friendly. They have promos sometimes and if you sign up for their email list they send you coupons, I just got one for 25% off of an ENTIRE purchase. Definitely a good Coach store to visit! read more

Despite reading the negative reviews, I received great customer service here. I used to shop here A LOT. It was like an addiction. Everytime I received those magical coupons in the mail, I would come here to splurge on everything. Purses, wallets, wristlets, jewelry, shoes, you name it I had it. The sales people will recognize me everytime. They always listened to my requests ordering things from other stores, taking time to help me choose bags, and etc. I would literally spend hours in there, but they would be like my personal shopper and I loved it. Although I still use the bags that I have, I don't shop at Coach anymore because of the outlets selling their reject bags for a cheaper price which made the brand available to anyone and everyone. I think this really ruined the image of the brand since my I image of the brand was simple, classy, and elegant. Now everyone has the bags and some in ugly colors or weird styles. I know making the bags more "affordable" to everyone will raise your revenue, but seriously do you have to stoop that low and ruin the brand image to make some money? For someone that's not a fan of Coach........at all. Giving this place four stars is really coming from the heart. I had shopped all day, and I was just observing how people would react to me walking in to a store, because I was bored and had lots of time. When I walked in I was greeted immediately, then again, then again from a far, then the manager walked up to me while I was already in the back of the store, greeted me then offered help. I didn't need any but she insisted I should not hesitate to ask for help, should I need any. I felt very welcome, and comfortable, as I made my way around the store, there was one lady left that hadn't greeted me, as soon as she approached me I was given a warm welcome and offered help. I again politely declined. I was amazed at how friendly all the girls were in here, its a shame I'm not a big fan of their designs, otherwise I'd drop some serious $$$$ here. On the other hand, I think they have stepped up their designs a little, the last few seasons. And it seems like they're marketing is geared a little more towards teens/ young women which is cool, and has made me take a second look at a few purses or shoes. I do love their jewelry though so pretty! I ended up leaving empty handed, but I was still given a thank you as I was making my way out. Great job girls! keep it up =) read more

Valley Fair Coach is the reason why I fell out of love with Coach in the first place. After their poor, snooty customer service, way back when, I then realized how craptastic their quality of "goods" were as well. I soon found out that not only did Coach downsize in quality of leather goods, but also quality in customer care.
