It was carefree & a very relaxed experience. We went on to shop and make purchases at other luxury boutiques & by the time we were done, I couldn't forget the cute bag I had tried on at Prada. So I stopped in to grab Chris' card before we had to leave, as we were on a schedule that day and had spent way too long at LV. Lol I ended up making a purchase through phone a couple weeks later through Chris. Honestly wouldn't have made the purchase if our SA wasn't so welcoming & informative. Be careful what kind of shoes you're wearing when you shop here! I visited this location on Sunday, April 12. We were greeted by the employees as we walked in but before the associate came to help us, he stopped to speak with another associate. Luckily for me, I overheard what he told her. "I can always tell if they're going to buy by what kinds of shoes they're wearing." The other associate laughed. Our associate came and helped us for quite a while as I asked to view different bags. Customer service was subpar. I shop at many high end places and I know the moment I walk in, I'm asked if I wanted any help or water while waiting for my items to be bagged. Maybe I wasn't dressed "rich" so I was ignored both. My sister and I both purchased a bag from this store. The original staff that was helping left us abruptly and handed us to another coworker. He didn't apologize to us, instead he told him that his client is here for her appointment. Nonetheless, while I was waiting for my item to get packaged, no one offer us a seat or water. My cousin's bag was poking out of the store bag; I mean common sense is to give her a bigger bag to fit her item and to cover it completely. He was extremely knowledgeable about the brand, offering suggestion and options, and helped me feel very comfortable throughout the experience. Overall, an okay experience! You have to wait outside until the security guard signals that you are ok to enter. I think I waited approximately 15 minutes. I was helped by a sales associate who in my opinion could've been a little nicer to me. He didn't even introduce himself so I am honestly not even sure what his name is. Even if he did, I think I got so scared inside that I probably forgot. If I am being completely honest, I DID feel like I was slightly profiled when shopping in here. AWFUL. FROM BEGINNING TO END. I called this store to place a phone order for the mini Re-Edition nylon bag, and at first was helped by Dan. He was friendly, but then charged me the wrong tax rate for a simple send sale, and took over 24 hours to refund me the difference. Then, he did not follow up with tracking information as he said he would. Then did not respond to my messages for 3 days (management then said he was on vacation which is understandable but he should not have said that he would follow up if he knew he would be away. My order was placed Friday, and I was told it would be shipped out Monday. And I hadn't heard back from him all the way on Wednesday. I was told the only option for a phone order was ground slow shipping (which turned out to also not be true). 4 days and no communication is ridiculous, even if it's not a huge purchase. When I called on Wednesday, manager Danah was extremely upsetting to speak with, as she lied about the bag being sent out Monday, claiming that it's on its way back to them from UPS because they put the wrong shipping zip code on the package. I know for a fact shipping POS systems do not let you enter the wrong address on a label, it would auto-correct or suggest the correct address. And I had also texted Dan my exact address when placing the order. She then offered to overnight shipping it to me, 5 days after I placed the original order. As it turns out, faster shipping was available for an order, therefor Dan lied about the shipping process to begin with. Danah lied about them ever shipping out the package, and they had to overnight ship it to make up for it. Overall just extremely disappointed with the way my order was handled. Do not place phone orders from this store. I absolutely understand that my small bag is not a priority, however it should not have been handled with the lace of care, communication, and customer service that it was. read more

Came in today to look at some purses with the wife. We were warmly greeted and asked if we needed any help. The person (Christopher) knew we were looking one a specific size and color purse - I have to say his customer service was awesome. He went out of his way to allow my wife to try on different purses and looked at different colors and even foresaw some questions that she was going to ask. Christopher was very candid and honest. He didn't push other products or higher end products on us. He was very friendly and had great customer service. This Prada store is vast and has a lot of inventory. When they don't have what you are looking for the sales team goes out of their way to find it for you or will order for you. I purchased a wallet here and the stitching on the inside wasn't up to par, so they happily ordered a replacement for me. I was taking my time shopping in the store and my daughter was with me. They even gave her a shopping bag filled with a lunar new year box and a lucky red envelope. My daughter felt extra special. It was really nice of them to do that for her to help her maintain her attention and patience while mommy was shoppping =) read more

I purchased a small Panier Saffiano bag in June. My experience purchasing was good. The gentleman helping me and my daughter did a nice job at adding value to my experience. I was going to think about purchasing the bag, but I was told that it came with a warranty and I could have it repaired in case of defects, plus I loved the petite shape of the bag. After a few months the leather at the top of the bag started to separate. (See pictures) At first it was minimal then after a couple months the whole top part of the bag was defected. I went into the same store after calling a week prior to explain my concerns with the fairly new bag. When I arrived I had to wait for the manager for over 30 minutes. The manager was polite though her only method of conflict resolution was to accuse me of getting the bag wet repeatedly. I take very good care of my designer bags and have never experienced any bag, luxury brands or not, become damaged in such a short time span. I was told after waiting for the response that they could send the bag to the only repair shop in North America and that it will take up to 3 months to find out if they can repair it or not. My concerns weren't addressed and I will no longer purchase any designer bags from Prada. I've had impeccable service at other brands like Gucci and LV both in which I have never had any issue with their leather bags becoming damaged, no matter how long I have had them. I'm shocked and angry after my recent visit to this boutique location, largely due to the behavior of the Client Advisor that served us. Being called my husband's mother was bad enough, but being asked about our ethnicities was downright discriminatory. Is Prada now screening customers based on ethnicities? This kind of racial profiling is unacceptable, especially at a high-profile brand like Prada. The bag we bought is just a reminder of this terrible experience, so much so that we returned it to the boutique and bought the same bag online. I've been a Prada customer for years, but after this, I'm rethinking whether it's worth continuing. Prada, please re-educate your Client Advisors. Today I had planned to purchase my first Prada bag, I was very excited to say the least. Unfortunately, the second I began to approach the store, I felt very unwelcome. The store was empty, and I had my 2 nephews with me "minors" ,and I was told that only 2 of us could enter. I was very puzzled since there was a 15 person minimum sign in front of the store. What was I suppose to do, leave one of my nephews outside?! Would that have made it ok? Not to add the employee's attitude towards me and my family. I've never explored this Prada store before, though I'm a regular at nearby Burberry, but I had high standards for service and Prada absolutely met them. One of the male sales associates (whose name I unfortunately didn't get) was quick with finding sizes for a pair of gorgeous shoes that, while out of my price range, are some of the most beautiful pairs of footwear I've ever seen. The short and sweet version: I highly recommend shopping at this store! Ask for Tina. The reasons: I went in today. Yes, they are open from 12 to 5 daily. You need to call ahead for an appointment. They are limiting the number of customers in the store at a time with the staff they have on site to ensure social distancing. They look to see if you are wearing a mask, take your temperature before entering the store and the associates are all wearing masks as well. As for the experience this is my favorite location to shop at by far. It always feels warm and inviting. Tina has helped me with my last 3 or 4 purchases. She is amazing! She offers wonderful suggestions without pushing to buy. 1 time I went in just to see some of the newly released items, since I was at the mall. I ended up buying with a purse and wallet that I didn't even know that I wanted. It was so different from the purses I owned at the time. I'm the type that has to see it, feel it and put it on before I buy. Today I went in with a few options in mind. Tina helped me pin point the perfect one for its purpose. I also showed her one that was "coming soon" on the website. She offered to put it on my wishlist so I can be notified when it is released. She double checked to see if any stores happen to already carry it. Apparently it is a special limited release in Japan and Hawaii each store was only sent 1 of them. She gave me the phone numbers to the 3 stores in Hawaii to see if they can ship it to me. I was in luck I called and it will be shipped out tomorrow. The Asian gal named Anny was too busy on her phone. I asked to see a purse, and what material it was made of. Instead of answering my question she literally asked me a question "are you looking for yourself or a gift for someone"? I answered her question. I am from Richmond CA and went all the way to this store to purchase a tote bag for my sister and a little something for myself. I was with my 2 sisters and as soon as we walked in an employee at the door said that 2 people can only enter the store. Was so confused because there was a "limit 15 people" posted on the door and there was no other people shopping inside. So I let my 2 sisters go in and I decided to just wait outside. 5 mins later that same girl let me in since there was no one else shopping inside. Went in and asked the guy if they had the water bottle in stock, he brought it out but I didn't like it so I walked around for maybe 5 mins to find the perfect wallet or mini bag for me then suddenly that same girl at the door yelled and said "excuse me, are you buying the water bottle or not because there are 2 people waiting in line trying to go in?!" I was like is she serious? I already felt very unwelcomed the first time I got there but still chose to go in when she invited me in because I really wanted to purchase something for myself and now she's rushing me to go out because 2 people are waiting outside?! EDIT: the SA is named Paddy!! I fell in love with a prada bag in Chicago a while ago. Except the SA's there were whatever, and I'm a poorer than poor grad student, so I walked out of that store empty handed. Last week, I sent my mom pix of my latest purse obsession, and she fell in love, too. So off we went to prada vf to check out the purse together!! I honestly had no idea we were even going, so I walked in all gross, in an old hoodie and jeans, etc (seriously, I was in one of those grocery shopping at 7am where nobody sees you outfits), and the SA who helped us was great. He was attentive, pulled multiple purses for us, wrote down the purse info when my mom was indecisive, and didn't even change his attitude or force a sale. My mom still needs time to think about this, but you can bet well be back here to work with him when she decides to buy the purse. ALSO, at all the nicer stores I've been to (LV, Gucci at Santana row, Tory burch at vf with the worst customer service EVER), the attention and customer service we received at prada was hands down the best. Seriously, it beats Nordstrom. I don't remember the SA's name, so I'll update when I get ahold of his business card later...he's a tall-ish asian who wears a silver watch and is left handed. I have been looking forward to the opening of this store, ever since I saw that Prada was finally coming to Valley Fair. If Prada is good enough for the Devil, why shouldn't the rest of us be able to check it out? :) The store is freaking gorgeous. I thought it was going to be small from the storefront, but the store opens up beautifully into three sections. In the front section (into which you enter upon coming through the store entrance) is the wide selection of purses, wallets, and other leather accessories. The second section is women's clothing and accessories, and the last section is men's clothing and accessories. I adore this store, and it is way better than the Prada in San Francisco. For one thing, the selection at this Prada kicks the smaller SF's store's butt. Yes, there's less carpet here (particularly in the front section of the store, but who needs stinky carpet when you have gorgeous marble tile? Ha, or what looks like marble to my untrained eye. I was in awe of how pretty the store was (eye appeal is buy appeal!), but my only slight gripe is that the storefront from the outside is all dark, which isn't as beautiful as the bright and open store within. More importantly, service here was wonderful. I was here on Friday just checking things out, and many associates asked me if they could help me, but I was all right. I scoped out the store and saw some items I would need to more closely review, but my favorite associate, Taylor, wasn't working. I decided to wait for Taylor. I came back on Sunday, and there he was! I asked Taylor if he could help me with a purchase, and he kindly left his post in the men's section to come with me to the purses/wallets section. He answered my questions, checked for different colors of items I wanted, and he found me just the right item for me. He asked me if I wanted something to drink, and to be honest, I was thirsty from all the hot lights in the store. I drank some Pellegrino while waiting for Taylor to wrap up my gift. I haven't worked with any other associates in the store, but if Taylor is any indication, expect great service, sweet and thoughtful attention to detail and to you, and non-pushy help from the associates here. The service was ok when I made the purchase (of course, right?) and my girlfriend absolutely loves the wallet I purchased for her. I just really wish Prada would stand behind their products a bit more. After less than two months, the clasp would no longer keep the wallet shut. A simple touch of the wallet would pop the clasp open, which was really annoying. While trying to find a solution to this, I was given the runaround by so many different people, all while being given inconsistent responses from everyone. One person told me I needed to pay $40 for a shipping so they can inspect the wallet (I live hours away from a Prada store). Another person said I can just ship it myself through any carrier and to leave a little note in there with my name. She did not sound confident whatsoever when explaining this to me, so I opted out of shipping the $500 wallet that would only be identified with a little piece of paper. That just seemed so unprofessional and unorganized. Another person said the wallet was stuffed too much (even though mostly everything was already out of the wallet at this point). After wasting hours of my time trying to sort this out with support and the store directly, I just gave up. We eventually received a free shipping label to send the wallet off for "inspection" but I honestly don't trust the team there because they seriously don't have it together. If I would've been given this label right off the bat without witnessing how disorganized everything/everyone is, this probably would've been a better experience. Beyond frustrating though. At least now I know where NOT to go next time I'm looking to purchase a wallet or a purse :) read more

SO! Customer service really does make a difference. 4* for the people working here. I truly am a fan now. It was towards the end of the day when I stepped into Prada. And to be quite honest, I was dressed a bit eclectically and looked like a young college student vs older wealthy patron so I wouldn't have been surprised if sales folks in the higher end stores decided to ignore me or give me "Looks". Which HAS happened before in other stores in the past. (Burberry, Bottega Venetta, and Miu Miu always treated everyone well or politely.) The two women I interacted with were very friendly and down to Earth. They wanted me to have a fun experience even though I told them that I wouldn't be purchasing anything that day. They encouraged me to try on anything I wanted and it was like shopping with a friend. =) They offered their thoughts on certain selections and gently informed me if something was unflattering. I'm sure they were hoping I would end up purchasing something, but this way is much more effective at making people feel welcome, relaxed, and not pressured to BUY BUY BUY. A little background on me - I am a former Prada employee with 5+ years so you can say I know the company well, the products well, standards for service, etc. So if I happen to stumble along a Prada boutique when travelling, I always take a look. Also note - a few days earlier to my Prada SJ visit, I went to Prada SF where I received HORRIBLE service, which, of course I reviewed and gave 1 star. This was back in July 2013. Well....I can tell you that the SJ store is awesome! I received *EXCELLENT* (yes, all caps and asterisks means I'm serious) service from Alexis (sales supervisor), Miguel (Donna RTW sales/manager?) and Izabela (store manager). Their service really brought me back to the good old days at my former boutique because they just shined with amazing customer service! They really took care of me and took the time to show me new products I've never seen, while making me feel comfortable and at home. I noticed other customers walking into the store, and the staff made sure to greet them with a genuine smile and hello, then assist them with their needs. After an unpleasant experience at Tory Burch, my girlfriend and I were still on the hunt to find her a wallet. As my girlfriend and I entered the Prada store, our presence was acknowledged via a head-nod by Jeremy, one of the sales staff. This really turned me off. I mean, how much effort does it take to say "hi, how are you?" I'm never afraid to voice my opinion, so I immediately mentioned how disingenuous I thought his greeting was. However, Jeremy immediately asked us if we needed any help and seemed very attentive as soon as I made that comment. I'm not sure if he heard me or not, but everything was pretty good from that point forward. I ended up buying my girlfriend a beautiful wallet and we'll probably be back to get her some matching purses. read more

I had what I would call the worst experience at a business/store in my entire life here. The employees are extremely rude, especially Miguel the "keyholder," and I was given the overall impression that they do not care about the customers at all. After waiting 4 months for a repair that was supposed to only take 2 months max, I was told that I would be charged for it (even though at the time I dropped it off i was told the repair would be free). Had I known I would be charged $50 for a very minor repair on the fabric attached to the zipper, I would have taken it to a repair shop where I would have waited 4 days, not 4 months. When I told the employees that it is unethical to charge someone for something when they are initially told they will not be paying anything, I was yelled at (by Miguel). He then said to me, "Do not ever come back to this store again." While I have no desire to EVER return to Prada again, telling a customer that is extremely unbelievable. I will no longer be shopping at Prada, and I will be sure to continue sharing my experience with others, as this whole situation is a perfect example of how NOT to conduct customer service. read more

if you can go to another Prada location you should. why? because they play favorites here. meaning even though you've been waiting in line for over 15 minutes to get in and being the only one in line and then having some other people who knows someone who works here, they'll let you those people in first, claiming that they have an appointment when they clearly didn't because it wasn't mentioned. i'm talking about a worker named Chris. he let someone else he knew go in before i could go in. the people he let in didn't even say "oh hi i have an appointment" they literally said "hey i been meaning to text you to come but i haven't had time" and chris really said "yea no worries" and then let them in and said "oh they have an appointment" the nerves!!! i'll definitely be contacting corporate to provide better workers! other than him, the other worker who helped us out was pretty nice ( Gordon ). but definitely skip this location or just ask to be helped by Gordon. read more

THIS IS THE WORST LOCATION FOR BUYING PRADA!!! After shopping this store 2 times and bought a couple of bags, I was so disappointed and embarrassed from their service. THIS PRADA STORE IN VALLEY FAIR SHOPPING MALL IS THE WORST location ever. When my husband was buying a bag as a gift for me, he mentioned about their poor service but I didn't take it personal or serious. Here is what happened to me. I've dropped my bag 5 mo ago to repair of discolored spot and I was told that it'll be taking about 3 mo. I was also explained that they will call me once they find out either it's repairable or not. And if it's repairable, they might need to charge the cost so I had to sign the agreement. It has been taking 5 mo when I got a first call from them. They called me and just said that my bag is ready to pick up. No explain. When I stopped by the store to pick it up, I found out my bag had not been repaired at all!!! So I asked to explain how it took that long without any follow ups with me and the reason why not repaired. The answer I got is that they didn't know it was not repaired and they cannot explain cause the same sales person is no longer there. And just saying they'll have a manager call me. The other sales rep even has an ATTITUDE when I wanted to appeal about that long waiting time with no explanation. Even Nick, THE STORE MANAGER, called me the next day and just trying to say "are you gotta pick up the bag or not". He was not trying to listen while I was questioning if they knew it was not repaired of not. He was even interrupting and cutting me to say they don't need to check the bag's condition when they got it back from the company. He is such a RUDE, ARROGANT and NOT PROFESSIONAL business person!!! I actually stopped by the store more than once and always come back to this prada store. Once was in the spring 2014 with my boyfriend and best friend, let's just say we weren't dressed in the nicest attire, but the workers were really friendly. I was on the look for my own gift and I came across many different style of wallets (all gorgeous btw) however, I couldn't decide. The person helping me was an asian man that was completely the best sales associate I have met dispite how we all looked that day, he actually helped me make a decision to wait and really think about my purchase without pushing me to buy it on the spot. I left empty handed that day however, due to the experience I wanted to come back for sure to this specific prada store. Now for my second visit in October 2014, I already had my eyes on an evelope styled wallet that doubled as a clutch (I wear it as a clutch because I'm a small person). This time there were two men working and they were with clients. They were running around pulling out the displays while greeting my boyfriend and me and politely asked us to wait instead of ignoring us. Once one of the sales associate was free, he actually went straight towards us and helped us look for a black evelope wallet. I forgot who was helping us but I can honestly say the male workers at this store are super nice! I usually feel uncomfortable with sales associates but he was incredibly nice. Anyways, I got my wallet and I was more than satisfied with the service. I've been to the Livermore Prada outlet and the SF Prada boutique... I left both stores in a matter of minutes due to the mugging and workers ignoring a costumer who is willing to buy these items. Which is why I decided to do this review after encountering such rude service everywhere else EXCEPT here. I love the service in the San Jose Prada store. I plan to come back again this spring and fall to look for a mini/small daily bag. read more

If you're going to spend your hard-working money on high end items, this is the place to do it! The staffs were not only friendly, they went the extra mile to see if they have search the item for you. I went into Prada to check out a few handbags that I saw online and wanted to get a feel for them. Paddy, the SA, was not only patient with me, but he give me other helpful suggestions that suites my body type. Although I didn't buy the handbag (since they didn't have it in the sand color), I left the store feeling wonderful. Thank you Paddy for making my Prada experience enjoyable compared to other stores. He is really really patience to me , as when it comes to purses, it is very hard for me to decide which color , size or style to go for . He helped me order the purses I like . I bought my first Prada purse double zip tote here last year and I still love it. Paddy helped me and he was very patient with me as I was nit picking on some things. I appreciate the fact that he had so much patience. I will come back to buy more from this store in the near future since it is so close to home. And all the employees are very courteous and polite. I've gone to the Prada in San Francisco and I just walked out because of the employee's stuck up attitudes. I'm personally boycotting that store. Although I am thankful that my husband bought my Christmas gift at the SF store (a matching wallet/purse/clutch), I rather he bought it at the San Jose/Santa Clara Store. I bought a wallet, 2 scarves, and a shirt. The next day I tried on the scarves and they were too short. I went to return the 2 scarves 3 days later and the sales girl told me she can only give me store credit. They could have told me this when I purchased the items. After arguing with her about their stupid policy for 15 minutes. I gave up and took my store credit. Sadly, I will never buy anything from them again. read more

I never owned a Prada product before and this was the first time I visited Prada in Valley Fair. I met Paddy on the day I came in the store, Pad was so nice and very patient with me. His service's outstanding! It was the 1st day on Chinese New Years and I came to Prada store while I was having a Vietnamese traditional dress on (needed to go to temple afterward).. After having a conversation with Pad, I decided to buy one handbag from Prada. The bag's box plus the shopping bag was so huge and it seemed hard for me if I carried it to my car, even though I parked not far from the Mall's gate, so I asked Paddy if he could help. And Pad, without a second thought, had helped me to carry it. I really love the new bag I bought, but more importantly, I really appreciate Paddy and all of his friends who worked in Prada store the day I visited. They all were very nice & friendly. Honestly, their friendliness's must better than people who worked in Louis Vuitton at the same Mall. I will definitely come back to Prada in Valley Fair again. read more
