Let me start by saying julio's customer service skills are second to none. I called him and texted about this shell multiple times and he assured me the shell would be in tip top shape when I arrived for install. The first time I looked at the shell it was actually burgundy in color, Julio removed all the windows and took the shell to his partnered paint shop on his OWN TIME. What a guy right? Here is why I only gave the company 4 stars instead of 5 upon arrival to the shop (10 am appointment) the shell was still on the ground with no windows in it. And the hardware that had been out in the elements had not been changed per my request. He installed a new tail light for me at no charge and once the windows were installed on the shell setting it on the truck when smooth. I would recommend if buying from shells Plus be very specific on what you want. I would deal with Julio again! read more

Not a place to get retrax bed cover installed. Didn't install it right so it wasn't sliding smoothly. Was told it will loosen up over time but I know it should open/close smoothly if installed correctly. They didn't read the instructions/manual where it shows how to tighten everything correctly thats why it was installed improperly. Also thought the bolt and clamps provided by retrax were incorrect or not compatible. Ended up they were wrong and just didnt install right. Watched so many videos and compared with other owners who own the same truck and cover, they all came with the same parts. Had to download the manual from the website and re-do it myself. It was installed incorrectly that it damaged the trim on my tailgate. He did offer to replace it but it was hard to get an appointment back to get the trim replacement installed. Also since it was installed incorrectly the piece that goes on the end came off since it was hitting the tailgate every time it was opened and closed. I just gave up on getting the tailgate trim replaced. It's probably better that I dont take my truck back there to prevent any more damage read more

My cab was vandalized and back window broke. No one including manufacturers make the replace part as this a 32 year Mazda B2200 extended cab which is extremely hard to find Shells. Ordered a trunk cap in May and was told that it would come in 6 weeks. Called back 2 weeks ago to see where the trunk is and was told that it is in production and will come next Tuesday. Tuesday came and the trunk has still not come in. We called many times and every time Jay would say he would call us back in a few minutes, but will never call back unless we call him. Now every time we call him he would say call me back in a few minutes. His response has been the same and nothing has changed. What is going on? I stopped by to have Jay fixed something that I have procrastinated for a long while. I purchased a tonneau top from Jay way back in 2013 for my Tundra. The rubber weather stripping that is glued to the underside of the tonneau top came undone after so many years. He was able to remedy the problem w/new adhesive a product that was meant for the type of material that will stick properly to the lining. I've tried to glue it back with so many other adhesive products such as gorilla glue, supper glue, and many other types, but they all failed. So I decided to go back to the source and had it fixed properly. I'm extremely glad I did, because he was able to assist me with no charge at that as well!!! Thank you very much Jay. I don't recommend this place at all. Here is my experience with Shells Plus. I ordered a camper shell and a bed liner for my truck on May /2021. The owner said that both the camper and the liner would arrive in six weeks. I agreed with that and paid everything in full. He seems very nice at first. (Everything was made by phone). I called him after four weeks to see how things were. He said that the arriving of both things would take three more weeks. So I wait and called him one week before the items were supposed to arrive. And he said that the it would take two more weeks. By that time I started getting a little bit upset. Anyways the story was the same every time I call. So it was November when I said "it's enough". I drove all the way to his location without calling. (By surprise) When I talk to him I found out that he never ordered a camper shell and the bed liner either. I got super upset and started yelling at hi. I told him that I wanted my money back at that second. When I was about to call the police he begged me for one more chance and he promised me that he would get both Items in three weeks. I'm a good person and I believe that we all need a second chance. So I agreed but I told him " If I don't get the camper shell and the bed liner in three weeks, I'll take you to the court and bla-bla-bla etc). After two weeks and four day he called me and told that my items finally arrive. At that point it was already the middle of December! They installed and I was so happy to not to deal with that guy again. If you planning on getting a camper shell from Shell Plus, go somewhere else. Save yourself a big head ache, time and money. P.s. The first time it rained I got a lot of water inside. Yes, it was leaking everywhere. I fixed myself. Definitely the worst place!!!!!!! read more

I first contacted Campways which is close by and got a few price quotes, and then I called Camper Shell Center and got some quotes from them too.
