Coach is an iconic store that blends quality with reliability and has a great name. This store was clean bright with helpful staff and the prices are just what you'd expect. I stopped by this Coach location with my friend while I was visiting Boston. I had seen on display in the shop the Western Tabby that I had eyed a similar one months ago called the Western Cargo Tabby that has been out of stock online for months. I came inside immediately and looked at the Black and Brown models of this bag and had some conversation with workers giving advice about which color they preferred. I decided to buy the bag, and here's where everything went downhill. Because I was visiting Boston, I asked to have the bag shipped to me as I didn't want to carry it around all day and was concerned about potential theft issues. The employee who helped me check out appeared to be new so perhaps this is why he did not ask if I was a Coach Insider or had shopped with Coach before so this bag purchase was never linked to my Coach account. After paying, I went about my day when hours later I still had not received a confirmation e-mail about the purchase nor had the purchase listed in my Coach account. I was immediately concerned so I called this store and spoke with the manager who told me she was boxing it up and that sometimes it would take a while before the purchase would register in my online account. I did receive a text from the original employee who I purchased my bag with containing the tracking information and it was projected to arrive to my home in 2 days. As a result of having frequent package theft issues in my neighborhood, I requested the bag require a signature upon delivery. You can imagine my shock when after I was told this would be the case that it arrived on the steps of my apartment complex with no signature required or e-mail notification that it had been delivered. It was only pure luck that I was leaving the apartment near the time it had been dropped off that it was not stolen. The package came in a gigantic cardboard box but itself came without being wrapped in a box OR in a dust bag. It was wrapped in styrofoam sheeting with the dust bag inside the purse. What purpose did that dust bag hold if not to literally protect the purse? I felt this was such a poor customer service experience for a bag that cost upwards of $500. Lastly, to my complete shock, the bag itself came with a defect. This bag uses a belt style buckle to attach the shoulder strap to it. On one side of the belt buckle attachment, the prong itself was disfigured and also too large to fit through the holes on the shoulder strap to attach it. I had wanted to wear this bag with the shoulder strap exclusively and this completely prevented it. I had to go to another Coach location to do a defect exchange but I still have not had any further communication this with location regarding this entire experience. I would recommend traveling to the other nearby Coach in Boston instead of going to this one. read more

First of all, I am not a Coach shopper. I was dragged along with two girls. The location was small, but the sales people were incredible. They were nice, patient, and answered any questions the ladies had. At one point when I strayed away from the girls I was asked if I was interested in looking at their small men's section. Coach... bless them. From luxury to commonplace (at best) and now trying to go back to their luxe roots - and failing. The service in the stores is 'meh' at best, and try to get help after a purchase... good luck! I received a gift from a friend, who had apparently ordered it very early. I immediately sent the watch - with gift recieot and all original packaging - to online customer service with a nice letter asking that they make an exception to allow for the few days past the normal exchange period, and that I would love a store credit for my return (a watch) and would gladly add another $500+ to get something I'd actually use. The watch was sent back in 3 days with a curt, rude letter. I contacted customer service online. After half a dozen back-and-forths with as many people (it goes to a generic account where, apparently, the agents don't bother to read any of the previous communication), I was told they would make an exception, to send it to the attention of a specific person (Sam), and they would issue a store credit. I did so, the following day, sending it Priority. Cut to more than a month later - still haven't received the store credit, nor an email letting me know it's on its way. I emailed CS again; it's not gone back and forth AGAIN to 3 people who can't seem to read the earlier conversation, and now they want me to send them the tracking info - even though the Post Office says it arrived and was signed for! At this point, I'm over Coach. I don't care about the credit and I'm obviously not jumping at the chance to carry a coach bag and promote the brand - which is probably better now that everyone and their sister has the ugly-as-sin patchwork piece that apparently multiplied like rabbits at the Outlets and was on "one day only" sale for 50% off, plus an additional 30% and 10% more because the shopper was breathing that day. Buyers Beware of cheating employee here! My wife went to this store today with her little brother. There was a midium-build brunette greeted them & asked if they were tourists. (clue #1) Although my wife & I have been in Boston for more than a decade and her little brother was visiting us from abroad, she said yes so she could move on with her shopping. In the end, they picked a bag they liked and were about to buy the bag. My wife, since it was a special gift for her sister-in-law living abroad, SPECIFICALLY requested to give brand new bag, not a display nor "slightely" used one. Indeed, why would anyone deserve to pay full price for a "display model" is any man's guess. But what do I know, I am just a guy... Anyhow, the brunette said she understood and went back to the store to get one. Then she came back with a bag and showed it to my wife rather quickly, half way out of a pouch and put back, (clue#2) and started to pack. My wife, at that point, got a little bit suspicious of her behaviour and asked to see the bag in person. And GUESS WHAT? It was "wrinkled & dirty" used bag she hastely put into the pouch!!! My wife got mad and demanded a new one. THE BRUNETTE SAID THAT'S ALL SHE HAD IN THE STORE, BESIDE THE ONE ON DISPLAY & SAID HAVE A NICE DAY! It's about good ten-minute too late, wasn't it? Once you blow your cover. it ain't that easy to get away, lady... Folks, this kind of unethical behaviour is the one that chase lots of people away, especially in heavily toured area such as downtown Boston. Although I love my city, I had to say something on yelp... Just because tourists are often not fluent in English & probably not going to come back to complain, that doesn't mean you can "work on them." It's a basic but essential ethical issue here. Simply speaking, because someone is a tourist, it doesn't mean they deserve to pay a full price for a scratched wrinkly bag. Heck, I am a guy but why would anybody wanna pay HUNDREDS & HUNDREDS of dollars for not even a brand new bag? It could perfectly ruin someone's vacation. Don't you think? If the store manager at this place sees this review, I would dearly ask her/him to concentrate on re-educating employees. Your employee may think the tourists from foreign country come only once, but words DO get around farther & louder than she thinks! read more

Eh, I love Coach but this location is just ok. Sales people seem to ignore you, which is fine if you prefer to shop in peace, but I almost feel like I am interrupting them if I have a question or have to check out. If you are looking for the real Coach experience visit the Copley location, the store is bigger, brighter, and they carry a much larger selection of items including Coach shoes. read more

I have to say this coach store has some of the nicer staff out of the ones that I have been in before. I just bought my wife a bag from Santa yesterday and the service was very good. The place is small but they have a good selection of the latest bags and they were very friendly from the moment I entered. They wrapped everything for me and threw in a few free sample items. Usually I venture into Coach once or twice a year. To buy replacements for my calendar folio--yes I still have one and or their leather cleaning/products for up keep of my bags, also helpful on other leather bags/shoes and items. Staff are generally very courteous and helpful, even when I'm making these small purchases. This year 12/13/17, staffer was lovely, she had the style numbers, checked the inventory did the order/sale for me, told me shipping was free and gave me her card if there was a problem. There wasn't an issue at all, and they just arrived on time, etc. This year I was a bit pressed for time, did not look at the displays but I did see the theme tote bags at the front which looked different one has a large "Jaws" motif. And should also note, Coach still provides repair services, I'm not sure if the stores will still send them out for you or not, because for years I have printed the form from the website and sent my bags in on my own. Coach used to have their own repair workshop in Florida with a flat fee for repair, but now they are outsourcing it. You send your item to the repair contractor, and they call you with a price. You can say no, but then I believe you still have to pay the price of the shipping back to you, etc. Overall though, the repairs are modest price vs. replacing the item with Coach or another line/brand. read more
