After we ate, we went over to the pool area and by this point the rain showers were over. Once again, the staff was so nice. Made sure we had towels available and just really turned our day around. The place is clean and decorated so cute, we really enjoyed our time here. Would definitely recommend this place and would certainly come back another time!!

We visited CO, a Vietnamese-Asian fusion restaurant, during Restaurant Week and were very pleasantly surprised. Upon arrival, our waitress seemed a bit dismissive and short, which initially set an uncertain tone for the afternoon. However, to her credit, she completely turned things around -- by the end of the meal, her attentiveness and warmth had greatly improved. The restaurant itself is charming and thoughtfully designed, with two cozy levels that create an intimate yet stylish atmosphere. It's the kind of place that's easy to miss from the outside, but absolutely worth seeking out. Every dish we tried was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of balanced, vibrant flavors. We ordered the Garlic Sesame Tuna Tacos, Tuna Tataki, Mango Summer Rolls, and the Asian Crunch Salad -- each one was excellent in its own way. The plating was artful, and the portions were just right. To accompany our meal, we had an Asian beer and the pineapple-infused sake, both of which were refreshing and paired nicely with the food. Despite a rocky start, the quality of the food, the ambiance, and the staff's recovery made this a memorable dining experience. I went here a few days ago on a Monday. Good crowd and pretty busy but no problem getting seated. It's a small place but very well designed and they have made the most of it. Had a blackberry cocktail, tasty but a little too sweet for me but someone else in my group had it and loved it. Next we had some spring rolls, good as always and we devoured them quickly as we were all hungry. I think we even licked the sauce cups! I almost always get the pad thai, always good, or the Vietnamese chicken salad, again very tasty, but this time I had a curry udon noodle dish and it was excellent. I couldn't decide on 4 or 5 stars but gave a 4 star rating due to the incompetence of our waitress. From start to finish it was like pulling teeth to get anything and at the end of our meal, not only did it take forever to get our check, when it finally came it was for someone else's table so we had to wait again as it was sorted out. Not horrible but when you're ready to leave and it takes another 15 or so minutes it lessens the overall experience. I promise to review my next visit and I'm hopeful they'll get 5 stars next time. Came in during restaurant week and chose 3 courses for $20. Great deal right? Not. I ordered the curry laksa which is pretty delicious however the portion was so small, I only managed to get about 5 regular size grabs from my chopsticks and that was it no more noodles. I'm a fan of the food I received but the portion size just rubbed me the wrong way, I came to be full or at least 70% but left only about 50% full. Thankfully my friend who came got the korean rice bowl shared some of her food otherwise I wouldn't be as full. As for the other items their vietnamese chicken salad and green papaya salad were pretty flavorful again small portion not sure if that is due to the restaurant week but it was a decent size since we were getting a 3 course meal. The beef & kimchi dumplings were decent and the spicy crab Rangoon's were decent as well (how can you go wrong with cream cheese?). Overall I would come back here again because their food was delicious but for restaurant week? No thanks. read more

Stopped in for lunch while walking down King Street. At first we wanted to eat at the bar, but eventually we went up to the larger tables on the second floor. They have community seating, which made it easy for us to pick and choose where my girlfriend and I could sit down. I was very interested in trying out Pho because I wasn't too sure what it was, but had heard that Co was the place to try it. Our waitress Phoebe was excited to explain all the different choices we could have when ordering the pho and I eventually settled on the Spicy Beef Pho, my girlfriend went with the beef pho so we could compare. The server also brought the two house hot sauces and explained each to me. I ended up dumping some of both into the pho because it tasted so great! I went to CO a week to two ago with my boyfriend and we LOVED it! We sat at the bar- which I definitely recommend- and ordered drinks and appetizers. We ordered the Beef & Kimchi Dumplings as well as the Spicy Crab Rangoons. Both dishes were delicious and just the right size for sharing. My Jalapeño Guava Margarita was AWESOME! If you like some heat, this drink is for you! Lastly, our bartender, Samantha, truly made our experience a pleasant one. She knew the menu like the back of her hand and she gave us great recommendations- for both food and drinks. She was quick on her feet and very attentive. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of our family during our visit in Charleston. Shannon was so accommodating and informed about our special dietary needs. The food at Co was delicious! My son had a wonderful time and loved the egg rolls. He even asked if we could come back for his birthday in July! Thank you also for offering gluten free items for my mother, it's not common in Columbia. I had the beef pho, highly recommend it. It was so nice to know that we didn't have to worry as much about our food while on vacation, and that we were able to order it and not have to bring a lot of food with us. This meal was honestly quite a surprise for me. I came in by myself to finish some work documents while also being able to get in a quick lunch. I had never been here, but heard the service was fast and the food was fulling. A server Phoebe (I think), short brown hair, led me to order the Vietnamese coffee after we talked about my project and the stress I was under to finish it. Though she warned me it was at least 10x stronger than normal coffee I dismissed it and thought that all coffee is coffee. Boy was I wrong, this coffee had me so energized it was incredible. Pretty disappointed in my experience at Co. I had heard good things and most of the reviews were good, but my experience did not live up. We ordered for carry out which they said would be ready in 15 minutes. We waited for 10 minutes, got to the restaurant and had to wait another 25 minutes there. I ordered the Thai Green Curry with chicken. When I got home there was no chicken in the curry and it only had a few mushrooms and two small pieces of red peppers when the menu states it should have zucchini, red peppers, onions, mushrooms, and thai basil. It was the worst curry I have ever had and not even close to the curries I have gotten other places in Charleston. Overall a very disappointing experience. read more

Oh man, I have never been so excited about one single dish before in my life and I must pay thanks to the server Phoebe who confidently promised us that we would love it. I loved it to the point where I had my entire whopping bowl of soup and then stole the rest of my wife's bowl. Can't believe I had never ordered this before, but I had always stuck with the classic beef pho, but I'm so glad I was pushed to try something new, which I will now be ordering an embarassing amount of to say the least. Recently I was visiting a friend in Charleston & came across this spot on the midday hunt for food. The pad Thai was amazing, but what really makes this spot great is the staff. My waitress, Haleigh, is especially deserving of this praise; she was fantastic. From the very start she was patient while I tried to figure out what I wanted and gave me a great tip on what to get to drink. The food came out quick & she was really on top of the refills (which is paramount to all let's be honest). Co, highly rated serving Asian food. Every time we'd passed it, it smelled so good, looked great and was crowded. We hadn't wanted to go there since we can get that kind of stuff in Hawaii, but it looked and smelled so good. So we had saimin with the thin brown noodles - my favorite (instead of the whitish-yellow curly kind) - with chicken slices, a cracked egg and bokchoy with lots of cilantro and curry laksa, a perfect adaptation to SC's plentiful and delicious seafood. What's not to love other than their pricing? I love the cozy place of this space. The bartenders are knowledgeable of the liquors and menu. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I have loved all the dishes I have tried here so far. I would definitely suggest this place to anyone. But I would mention that the pricing is a little steep with the pho dishes. Don't get me wrong, the dishes are super delicious, you just don't really get much meat at all and they cost around 13 bucks for noodles and broth. read more

My husband and I are locals and always love trying new places, there are always some popping up especially downtown. We ran downtown for a quick errand and walked by Co where we were drawn in by the delicious smells from the kitchen. It's a small space, with an upstairs for additional seating. The selection of food all looked amazing, but I was drawn to the drunken noodles which were to die for! The cost is reasonable and we are excited to go back and try more! Wasn't sure what to get until I read all of the reviews and they pretty much all pointed to the Curry Laska. It lives up to it's hype, y'all! This was my first time visiting and the wait staff was very attentive but whoever is cooking that food is a rockstar. This Happy Hour is incredible! We popped in after doing some shopping during the late afternoon and so glad we did. My boyfriend and I were visiting Charleston, SC and we stopped in and had lunch at the bar. The bartender, Sam, was was very helpful because she was knowledgeable of the menu so it made our decision very easy. And the food was every bit as good as the service. We ordered two of the house specialties -- the OG Garlic Noodles and General Gerry's Chicken -- and shared both. The two of us finished everything. We were completely full and still couldn't stop eating because it was just that delicious. Sometimes the places you stumble upon end up being the best finds. Pink Bellies was definitely one of those. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

The crab fried rice was different as well, very interesting with the crab gravy. We had a couple of cocktails that aren't pictured because we sucked those bad boys down. They were really good. They did have ample parking which was nice. We could tell right off the bat that this place was something extra as it was completely packed and stayed that way. There is no take out or delivery because the owner wants you to taste his food fresh out of the kitchen. Since the word Bar is in the name we had to of course indulge in a few cocktails. My wife tried the Endserenading with wasabi infused tequila, guava, lime with a freeze-dried lime and guava pearls. Not only did it taste light and fruity, but it also looked inviting, I tried the Winners Never Quit jasmine tea infused bourbon and yuzu sake which was also flavorful and playfully decorated with a leaf cloths pinned to the rim. We decided to try the koji focaccia with whipped miso butter. All I can say is wow! Light, warm and so pillowy fluffy. We said we were not going to fill up on bread, but it was too good to not finish! They offer three kinds of Karaage, so we tried all three. The Classic had a nice spice profile and was a generous portion. The Kewpie Japanese mayo added extra depth. The Evil truly lived up to its name as when you start to eat it you feel nothing and then you get hit with a freight train of back heat! Super spicy but still tasty, nonetheless. Be sure to have a cold beverage on hand. Our favorite though was the Snow cheese with a special cheese power. It was a delight with the cheese slightly melting into the crispy skin for a satisfying bite. His go to Ramen is the shoyu ramen with light chicken broth, dashi, green onion, chashu, bamboo shoots, and an egg, The broth is steeped a full 24 hours, and you can tell when you taste it. All the ingredients are cooked to perfection with the egg yolk being nice and gooey, but the broth will have you coming back again and again. I could not put it down. Possibly the best I have had so far. The vibe is funky, the staff is super friendly, and the food will win over your heart!

My friend got the shoyu ramen that they're known for and I got the miso because I enjoy a creamier broth. Both had distinctive flavors but tasty overall.
