Alright so heres my experience with this location:- I gave one star for the beautiful decor and ambiance One star for our waitress kamilia who did a splendid job. But all in all..this place is terrible..as soon as we walked in, the so called manager which was a lady greeted us with a its a $20 min per person to which I responded were doing well thanks for asking! We didn't get to try this place b/c I decided to wear my flip flops out on a Sunday afternoon. When we got there the place was empty and after a bit of rude hesitation the "hostess" decided to bestow upon us her mercy and allow us to use their facilities; at this point the place was still empty, however they told us that we have to leave by 8 (it was about 7) due to my crude flip flops... at this point we (6 of us) were annoyed enough that we decided to take our business else where; we don't tip below 25%, their loss. This place needs a serous revamp in terms of service...yes it's pretty inside, but what does it matter if the staff is rude and unhelpful? We were excited to learn that a new pastry/tea lounge opened up and went to check it out. Instead of a hello hostess there greeted us with "lift up your dress so I can see your shoes" (I was wearing a maxi dress that day). I felt so uncomfortable, what is it..a prison?. Ok, you have a dress code, that's fine, but live up to the expectations you are setting! Be polite in explaining it! Wait times are ridiculous as everyone else mentioned. My main issue with this place is that it creates safety concerns for the people living/walking near it. Cloud Lounge is a blight upon the residential area it's in. I have friends that live on the same street, and Cloud Lounge has made going to visit them a real pain. Since they charge to valet park, you can expect to see tons of Audis, BMWs, and Range Rovers with superbright, blinding headlights trawling up and down Cleveland Street looking for a space (or really just parking anywhere they feel like). Count on these same patrons parking illegally in the two closest apartment complex lots (I have a friend living in each of these places) and just generally making a big mess of the street. As other reviews have mentioned, the crowds are pretty loud and can be aggressive. Oh yeah, and I don't know what it is with these dudes but go easy on the cologne. Every guy seems like he has a choking cloud of spray-on scent following him around. I've actually never been in because the wait-list is always an hour or more. I have to wonder how stupid the people who actually go inside are. You're waiting hours to go inside a place that doesn't serve alcohol? And c'mon, you're in the basement of a 7/11. If you like to pay for ambiance and overpriced food and drinks then this is the place for you. I love smoking hookah and I've been here twice. I've always been disappointed by the service here both times. A sandwich and a side order can put you around 20 dollars where you don't even have a real dining table to eat off. You will slouching over your back to eat your sandwich or you have to hold your plate to make sure that food doesn't drop on to you. Awful. Dress police checkpoint in basement of 7-11 & Burger 7. Before entering this pretentious place frequented only by Saudi Arabians you have to pass a checkpoint by the dress police headed by the scary dress police woman. There is no reserving of tables and on weekend nights the average wait is 2 hours if you don't believe me call and ask. Parking costs 10 dollars for valet in Arlington, Virginia not downtown DC. On separate occasions it took over one hour for burgers from burger 7 upstairs to be served. Few of the servers speak good English. There is an 18% service charge that will be added to your 25 dollar minimum and 10 dollar parking which will make it around $50 a person and 2 hours of waiting to hang out here if you don't believe me go try it. I went to this place around a dozen times and tried to like it but despite the good decor I just can't bring myself to ever going here again and all of my friends basically got to the same conclusion. The menu is limited. It includes non-alcoholic beers and drinks, hookah for an expensive price, and coffee tea and sweets which are extremely overpriced. It's understood that here you pay for the extremely nice decorations and seating but with a minimum charge of 25 dollars per person and no singer (unlike zikrayet) and no real dinner food except burgers, it really makes no sense to go here. The one star is for the decor. The customer service sucks. The dress police sucks. The minimum charge sucks. The sweets are good quality but overpriced. Overall this is a horrible place to hang out. I went there before Ramadan and I loved it! I mainly liked the decoration. While enjoying the hokah with my husband, I took one of my sandals off HALF WAY the waitress came in right away and she said the manager didn't like it and I have to put my shoe on that was REALLY RUDE! I was trying to go there in Ramadan for Iftar but I called to make a reservation and it seems that I can be there ONLY for iftar because I have my daughter with me!!!!!! I can't believe the bad reviews on this place ! Finally a good hooka bar in DC that is clean and authentic! Who cares that you can't wear flip flops ! It's a nice place with a great ambiance and beautiful setting. The patio outside is just perfect. So this is a hookah lounge so only connaissors of hookah should comment, you don't come here for the food (although the small bites they have are decent). The hookah has a disposable pipe (biiiiiig difference on taste and hygiene) , it's generally clean and not too charcoally. i really like this place, unfortunately i don't come as often because it gets super crowded and you have to wait at least 2 hours to get a seat. The pastries are delicious! Nice atmosphere, I love the venue, definitely not the staff, mean face girls, and if you are not an executive member who pays the hundred plus monthly fee membership is almost impossible to get a table on a weekend. But if you're lucky and patient you'll be sited after about half an hour wait or more. And that would be on one of the tiny tables at the very entrance by the pastries. So before you pay the valet parking check if there is space inside the lounge. You'll have to park on the street and walk some blocks though. The outdoor seating is much more simple but beautiful non the less. Desserts devine, hookah amazing, burgers halal and delicious, coffee wonderful. This place is becoming unbearable with all their rules and regulations. They claim that they don't take reservations but when you walk in so many tables have a reserved sign on them. When you ask the hostess about them she says that they're for members of cloud lounge but this membership is so exclusive that she has no idea how to become part of it! I went there with a large group of friends and one of the ladies was wearing nice sparkly slippers and they made a big deal about them claiming that they have a dress code. There is a tiny frame at the enters nice that states that but it's so small and easily missed. The first few times I went they never mentioned anything about a minimum charge but then started charging you $15 or $20 not sure also claiming that it's mentioned on the that microscopic paper. Mind you the next time I went they didn't charge us a minimum which tells me that they aren't consistent. Tried getting in around 6 pm with a 5 year old kid but wasn't allowed in because it's 18+ even though the place was empty and we asked to be seated outside. Went again today and there were people in flip flops and kids running around. When I asked how come, the hostess said it's Ramadan so we can't ask people to leave; double standards again. The hostess wanted to seat us on the most uncomfortable chairs ever and when we asked about other chairs she replied that those were for parties of 3+ even though every time I've been there were 2 people seated at tables with 4 chairs. I hate this whole concept of favoritism and inconsistency. I was really excited about Cloud at the beginning and recommended it to so many people but now I just tell them to forget about it. I remember multiple instances of friends being asked to leave because they were wearing what some servers considered flip flops (against the dress code), yet other servers didn't even question on separate occasions. I also remember coming on random weekdays when we would be the only people there and it taking extremely long to get service, food, and hookahs. My last experience there before today was on one of these days. We had finished up our food and had been there for hours, then were ready to pay the check. The waitress immediately becomes rude and says that we did not meet the minimum $20 per person total, which was never mentioned at any point from when I called to make sure we had a table through the entire time we were there. We refused to order more, especially because this minimum was never mentioned and is not listed anywhere on the website. I did not go back for years. Fast forward to today. We called a few hours before heading to Cloud to confirm a table for 5-6 people. Whoever I spoke to asked if we were coming at Iftar time, and I said yes. She asked for a name, and that was the end of the conversation. We get there and they seat us outside. We ask for menus to order hookah and Burger 7 from upstairs, and abruptly the hostess says no. She says they're serving a buffet and we have to eat that. I was confused because this is the first I'm hearing of any buffet, so once again, I ask about Burger 7 because that's what we've always ordered there. She once again says no, you have to eat the buffet that's all we are serving, no Burger 7. Again, this was NEVER mentioned on the phone when making the reservation. So we said ok, at least we can order hookah. The hostess said this was also not possible because apparently we didn't make the reservation SPECIFICALLY for hookah, and that we have to have a SPECIFIC reservation to order hookah. So, again, we said ok and asked if she could work with us to seat us at a table or area where we could order it. And once again, she says it is absolutely not possible without any proper explanation. Just because this place has nice decor compared to other local hookah bars, the workers have no right to provide the absolute worst customer service. If you really want Burger 7 and hookah, pick up the food and head to Zaaki's/literally any other hookah bar. You never know when Cloud will randomly ask for a minimum charge/cover, decide to enforce a dress code at random, or refuse you the food they've always served from Burger 7. To the owner of the business this is my second time and probably the last of the bad customer service from the host, no one even ask if we need anything while setting for more than 15 minutes , once we asked for a server to take our order while we shouldn't have to do that we got faced with a bad attitude from a server her name is hareg , I'm really disappointed and feel bad for the owner of it , building a business and spending a lot of money on it , and one or two employees be the reason of losing customers, really bad management there was no manger to talk to while we ask for it , feel so sorry for such a great looking place and bad service . read more

I am a regular customer at cloud, I come here at least 4 times a week. The decoration is beyond amazing and I love the idea of having a dress code which keeps this place very classy and elegant. The food comes from B7 which is one of my favorite fast food restaurant and on top of that the meat is organic!! The hookahs are always clean and charcoal always comes on time. having females on the floor gave this place a more gentle look.. who ever is managing this place is doing a great job.. keep it up guys read more
