Worst customer service in my entire life. Extremely long time to be served. Very rude and racist staff. We asked to be seated outside where there was open multiple tables that had all "Arabs" appearing people seated there. Open tables simply just had to be wiped down. They told us we just had to wait a little bit inside which was fine initially. We waited inside for 25 minutes in front of multiple wait staff, who all appeared extremely annoyed to be dealing with us. Server never checked on us when we finally got to go back outside while they were checking in other tables. We had to hound someone to check out and she was talking in Arabic (she probably thought we didn't know Arabic but we do...), to her coworker saying "just get them out of here already". Service is good and the hookah is a good price. HOWEVER there are many rats in the patio area and outside the lounge. It makes it hard to enjoy as all you can see are rats running back and forth. They can get too close to comfort and force you to move inside if there is space. I'd suggest just getting seated inside and avoid the outside seating. read more

One day I went with two friends and the waitress added her own tip to the bill before even handing me the tablet to pay, saying it was because there were more than two people. Came here on Valentine's Day (Feb.14 2025) this year with my partner after leaving dinner and after waiting an hour for hookah we left. We watched all of the same sex couples and African American couples not receive service which resulted in them all leaving. Meanwhile, the staff immediately serviced all of the Lebanese customers that arrived after us. I am a content creator and was only in the area for Valentine's Day. I've never received such horrible service that resulted in me feeling discrimination against in a climate where minorities are already being discriminated against. I truly wish I could have given you guys a better review as it is a beautiful establishment, but again I left feeling not taken care of a discriminated against. Upon exiting, it was obvious the staff wasn't concerned or cared about why we were leaving, despite waiting for an hour. We didn't receive an apology or anything. If you are part of the LGBT community or an African American please avoid this place as it's clear they don't care about us. read more

Back to Cloud Lounge: it's the perfect place to enjoy girly catch up time or boys night out as well. I saw groups of girls only or guys chilling out, as well as couples etc. The service was a bit blah with indifferent attitude. However, I was so busy talking with my bestie that it didn't bother me but it would bother others if they don't want to be at C.L. for multiple hours. We ordered a hookah which was decent, their tea was nothing to brag of, I liked the chocolate dome dessert the most. It was delicious. This is a great hookah bar. The food, the hookah, the decor, the ambiance- pretty much everything is on point. Oh, the ladies bathroom is so cool (must check it out). It's one of the best hookah lounge when it comes to decor. They have made the vibe very artsy. However, the servers are not friendly. They need to hire pleasant & smiley faces. Have been coming here for over 6 years now. Never had I ever been told as a company of two people that you have to spend $20 per person. They put a small sign in the front that no one could see that they actually enforce that now. I understand if a company of 5-6 people come, no problem! But when you have a company of two come that's a completely different story. Service is complete trash, but that hasn't changed since the 6 years that I have been there. Absolutely LOVED this hookah lounge. Probably my favorite in the United States because it reminds me of the lounges I used to go to in Dubai and Jordan. What makes this place amazing though, is its decor. Everything is chic- from the chairs, walls, frames, art, cups and even the ceilings! Its clear that every element of this place was taken into consideration.. you could really see the type of investment they put to make this place look and feel amazing. Yes, the hookahs are on the expensive side- but its seriously worth every buck. They tasted smooth and clean; two elements that are extremely important when smoking hookah. The food was also delicious for the most part! I LOVED the halloomi sandwich, it was so simple but refreshing! The cheese used tasted salty but creamy, with the perfect consistency. I also enjoyed their steak sandwich as well, but the salad was not spectacular. However, our waitress, Doina, was amazing and accommodating. So so so so sweet. Overall, this place is definitely a hidden staple in the D.C./Virginia area and I cant wait to go back! I came here on a Sunday around 3PM on their door it says they open at Noon and I have been there around 3 PM previously so I didn't bother calling ahead. They no also longer take reservations, not surprised because they never answered their phone anyhow. On a previous visit the hostess told me there was a 45 min wait, and took down my number, a few seconds later another girl sat us down. The hostess who told me I had to wait 45 mins called me around 12:30 after sitting for over 2 hours that a table was now available. I'm sorry but I literally laughed, is she crazy who would wait for 2 hours lol Both times since my initial review I have encountered problems with employees/management. 1. Hostess that can't do one simple task 2. Management that can't decide when it wants to open and close I noticed people complaining about a $20 minimum are you guys kidding me how can they stay in business if you cheap .... Don't spend $20 wow!! $20 is nothing especially bc it's not a place you spend an hour at, they should charge a minimum if you ask me. I've come here a few times, but now things are starting to open up slowly I came here for some hookah. They were very clean and careful. Everyone was wearing a mask and they checked your temperature as you entered. The hookah pipes were new or so I hope, wrapped in plastic and the hookah was very good. The Turkish coffee is also excellent and it comes with a delicious small Turkish delight which I would eat for days in end. Their strawberry cheesecake is also one of the best I have ever tasted! Wonderful service, great vibes, clear atmosphere, and yummy food. While the reviews did make us a little apprehensive to visit this Lounge we are so glad we tried it ourselves. The space is so modern and lux and the music is just at the right volume. The staff is very attentive and kind. They checked on us to ensure we were having a great experience and the service was quick. The crepes were tasty as well as the mock-tails and lattes. The bathrooms were clean, the prices were decent and there's plenty of parking. Air filtration is great at Cloud Lounge so even though it's a hookah bar, you still get fresh air and a nice scent! read more
