My fiance and I had dinner after we got engaged. It was a great experience. Taryn our waitress was great!!!

Went here for dinner with a couple friends. The interior is very old world, reminds me of an old castle or something, with the stained glass and many accents. It's very cool. We were lead out to the balcony that was indoor but out looked the falls, definitely one of the absolute best seats in the house in my opinion. We were all blown away by the view. It felt very high end and fancy and we were of course offered sparkling or tap water, we are tap folks. But this would be such a great place for a special anniversary or birthday dinner, romantic date, prom, family dinner, anything really. Fantastic atmosphere. We have an 11 month old who was sleeping when we arrived and there was another baby behind us who was a little fussy, which is no problem at all for us. In fact it made me feel more comfortable because it's clearly family friendly even though it's very upscale. We all ordered drinks, they were basic cocktails but they were good. My friend ordered a gin gimlet on the rocks but was brought more of a cocktail, they took it back and got it fixed. Not a common drink to order so not a problem. We ordered the crab and artichoke dip and it was fantastic, probably one of the best apps you could order. It didn't come with enough bread for the dip though. But I ate the rest with my French fries when I got my food and that was still very yummy. But more bread would be good. For entrees, my friends ordered the crab and shrimp fettuccini, crab stuffed halibut with macadamia crust, and then my fiance and I ordered fish n chips and a cheeseburger with fries. Everyone loved their food, my friend raved over the fish. I thought my fish n chips were some of the best I've had. Everything was excellent. The food did take a while to come out but we were having a nice time chatting and it was so busy so it was fine. But I'd say it was probably an hour from the time we ordered. I desert for us, we were too full! It is a pretty pricey place but the food is worth the price. I wanted the Alaskan Crab legs but they were close to $100 so I decided to go with fish and chips which was honestly perfect for me. I would definitely go back and I recommend this place for anyone looking for a tasty and special dinner! read more

This place is ridiculously good. The old fashioned was OFF THE CHARTS. We didn't sit down for a huge meal but we ordered the sea scallops (five stars out of five) the mashed potatoes accompanying it was creamy and sinful - oh! and the blue cheese salad (amazing) actually everything was amazing even the bread they bring out with the rosemary on it and the view: it left me speechless. The ambience of the restaurant is definitely worth the visit. The food is average best. My friend has the open face crab sandwich. She did not take the rest to go. I had the salmon with bacon butter which was way over cooked. The wait staff were attentive and the food came out fairly quick. The window view of the fall is the main selling point for sure. read more

I have been here before and what I remembered from last visit was the burnt cream. This did no disappoint. The setting is so stunning. The inside of the restaurant has a logging feel with the wood, and ambiance, but the views of the river really made it. Started with the thyme fire roasted shrimp appetizer and wow. Just wow. It had a remoulade, frisbee, avocado and savory herb relish. The flavors were just amazing. This is a must order. We had fish and chips and the asiago crusted sole. Both were good but not remarkable. Fish and chips is pretty standard and the sole was tasty but the sole pieces were thinner and small. the other highlight was the burnt cream or Creme Brûlée. I think it is different from the standard Creme brûlée as it has more of a vanilla flavor, but the flavor was something that I remembered from years ago and will remember for years to come. Very good. My husband gave the clam chowder . He enjoyed the seafood trio especially the salmon. I had the spicy chicken Alfredo. It had lots of chicken and sausage but was pretty spicy. The location, staff and food makes this restaurant a destination worth coming to if you're in Spokane. Their menu is exquisite and the ambience warm and exotic. We tried the seafood trio, lobster and shrimp carbonara, Grilled Mahi Mahi and the kids had the creamy cheese pasta. I'll be back! read more

Wow! Their Restaurant Week menu is really wonderful (Feb. 21-March 2, 2019). We had reservations for 6 p.m. on the first night. The parking lot was packed, but luckily we found a spot! Suggestion: make reservations. My three choices: clam chowder soup, salmon, and key lime pie. $31 set menu price. The clam chowder soup had a great taste, and I found a few clams, too. The highlight for me, however, was the exquisite taste of the salmon (Coho) prepared so perfectly (think melt-in-your-mouth), not a bit dry, just so delicious. It came with mashed potatoes and some excellent veggies. The lemon-lime sorbet was a hit for cleansing the palate (it came with the Key Lime pie). However, the Key Lime pie was a tad disappointing. Way more cream on top than what I'm used to for this particular pie. Really nothing wrong with the pie at all; I'd just prefer it to have less cream, so that I could really take in the great taste of the key lime without the cream overshadowing it. Our waitress was very good, and although we didn't have a table by any of the windows, the restaurant had a very nice, inviting atmosphere in the old Flour Mill. Restaurant week 2019 and Clinkerdagger offers a nice three-course selection. This restaurant is housed in the historic Flour Mill which was converted into a shopping experience right after the Spokane Expo 74. I seem to think that the Clinkerdagger restaurant has been there ever since then. Some of the views from the restaurant are spectacular, others are nothing to write about. When we were there, the views were all excellent as the icicles reflected the lights into a magical extravaganza. The wait for our table was minimal as we had a reservation. This is highly recommended, especially during restaurant week and on Friday and Saturday evenings. The waitstaff were very personable and did not act hurried even though every table in the restaurant was occupied. The food was delicious. I had the clam chowder-mmmmm. Then the prime rib, rare-mmmmmmm. Finally the key lime pie-mmm. I washed the food down with an excellent local claret. Altogether a delightful experience. If you need a quiet place for a date night with good food, you will not go wrong here. read more

Our reservation was late so we asked for our dessert to go and they gave us heating instructions which I appreciated so we could enjoy it whenever we wanted. Ambiance is great. Cant complain there. Server was very nice. Helped talk through some dietary restrictions. However, we sat for 45 minutes waiting for food before we were told "the kitchen is 26 minutes behind" and the normal ticket time is 30 minutes. So, that means 56 minutes from time of ordering until food came. It was a long wait and the table next to us ate 30 minutes after they ordered for a table of 6. We were a table of 2. I was surprisingly disappointed with our recent visit here after having a 4/5 experience back in Jan 2020. Sorry, the only picture I took was the calamari, which was average good. They include fried artichoke hearts which is a nice touch. The service was sadly really bad...the waitress did a poor job checking on us. We also waited a long time before ordering and then she ended up saying, "oh we are out of that" to multiple things we wanted. Tip: tell your customers what you are out of before you let them look at the menu for 15 minutes. The complimentary bread is absolutely delicious.... buttery garlic amazingness. I could eat a whole loaf! Clam Chowder- my mom said it was good, the size was a very good portion. Chicken Cobb Salad- I give my husband cr*p for getting a chicken salad at a seafood place, but he actually said it was a very good salad. The chicken was well seasoned. Grilled Salmon is what I ended up with after they told me they were out of Sole. It was very disappointing..not even picture worthy. It was a small portion, dry, and not seasoned. I get so sad when a seafood place does fish wrong. However, the brussels sprouts on the dish were absolutely delicious! read more

We had a wonderful lunch at Clinkerdagger. We'd never been there before and didn't know what to expect. The menu had lots of choices and all of our choices (there were four of us) were excellent. Best high end dining in Spokane in my opinion. Maybe its because the porch views overlooking the waterfall? Maybe its the tasty cocktails, appetizers, and entrees? Dined on a friday night, the weekend before V Day, the service was spectacular. We arrived early and was able to sit at the window. Apple butter coho salmon entree was excellent. My wife had the sole My son had the 16oz prime rib My daughter had the rack of lamb I had the Dijon Chicken We shared two salads (Point Reyes Farmstead blue cheese & the Broadway Pea Salad) Appetizer was the fried calamari Dessert was shared (cheesecake & pear bread pudding) Everything was delicious!!! I could describe each dish, but let me tell you, we all shared our selections and thoroughly enjoyed each one! Everyone in the party was completely satisfied and left stuffed with delicious food! Go here!! Prime rib was perfectly done and very tasty The rack of lamb was so good, my daughter didn't talk at all during dinner, but instead enjoyed each bite of lamb. My wife loved her sole. You ask locals where to come and this is one of the first places they mention. My coworker and I made a reservation (glad we did because when we arrived around 6:30 PM on a Tuesday the line was out the door). Our reservation was at 6:30 PM and we weren't seated till almost 7:00 PM which is why I deducted a star. We ordered calamari for an appetizer which was just okay to me. Indefinitely have had better calamari at Anthony's. I ordered an exotic mojito to drink it was delicious! Would definitely order that again. For my main entree I ordered the American Wagyu Sirloin and it was very good. Cooked perfectly to my liking and was very tender. The presentation was also on point (sorry didn't take a pic as I was starving lol). This place was packed on a Tuesday I can't even imagine the wait would be like on a weekend during prime time. I decided to treat myself to dinner and since had visited this restaurant before while on a date and had a great experience; I decided to go back this time by myself. It has been nearly an hour since I ordered my dinner. They took over 30 minutes to get me the drink I ordered. When my wine finally arrived my server told me she would get me a wine chiller and she never returned, 30 minutes later I still did not have it. Everyone around me were being served, somehow I was invisible to my server and the manger. I'm not sure what factors are playing into this experience, but it is uncomfortable. My server was rude, and short with me. Maybe I should go back with a white person next time so they can actually serve me? I felt invisible. I went to the manager for the night (tall white guy) I expressed my concerns to him; he did not acknowledge my concerns, instead told me that they were really busy. This experience put a sour taste in my mouth. Service was AMAZING!!! Artichoke/Crab dip I would repeat 7 days a week. Oysters were bland and one had a creamy white milkiness so I did not eat it. Dinner of a sampler style plate was okay at best. Salmon was good, shrimp was over cooked and the Brussel sprouts were under cooked and the mashed yukon gold potatoes were just sliced and sautéed potatoes. But the service was AMAZING!!!! read more

The history of the mill, the on point waitstaff (Lili was exceptional) , the priceless views of the river and ambiance and the best prime rib, seafood of your life. We started with a prawn cocktail, the prawn size was large, and the accompanying sauces were delightful spicy Mary and aoli. Bleu cheese salad with egg, and almond slivers. This is the place to go for prime rib, rubbed in spices and rock salt sealed in juices of perfection. The medium rare was so tender I probably didn't need a knife. Kick arse horseradish and great au jus. My husband had the halibut with shrimp risotto, and accompanying asparagus and sauces. Creamy and rich risotto, beautiful thick piece of halibut and huge chunks of shrimp through out. Do yourself and whomever you love, have in town, take on a business venture and go to Clinkerdagger.
