Wanted to try something new today with friends so we decided to check out Cliffs. I ordered a Patty Melt Combo with frys, mozzarella sticks and fried pickles. I have to say, It was very delicious. In my opinion the whataburger patty melt does not compare to this one I usually dont finish my whole meal but I ate the entire thing and really did hit the spot. This place is great. The burgers are nicely sized, cooked to order and very tasty. The sides are prepared to order and come out hot and nice sized portions. The people who own and run the place are friendly and a pleasure to be around. They are not really conveniently located for us but if we are in the neighborhood we go there. Okay I've tried the burger, fries and the chicken fried chicken from Cliff's. The burger was good but not cooked the way I asked for it to be cooked and I got a bad stomachache after. This little place was quiet, quick, and delicious. I am not a burger fan so I opted for a house salad with ranch which I'm normally hesitant to do because everybody's ranch can be different. This ranch was perfectly creamy not to thick or chunky and they served it on the side so you can pour to your liking. Fair pricing too! Check it out if your in the area. read more

Well I had high hopes for this place as I'm still looking for a new burger dive since my favorite spot closed. I will state the positives: friendly service, variety on menu and the place was clean. I ordered the standard cheeseburger and fries and the burger was meh at best. The patty tasted dry and lacked the beef flavor it should but had an odd over seasoned taste. Seasoning should be an accent, not the main course and I hate when places use overly loud seasoning. Now the fries that's another story.....they were excellent !!! Fresh cut and natural just the way fries should be. My hubby had the Kobe beef burger and it was equally as bad as the original burger, except with a higher price. I know it's not real Kobe because the price would have been more and true Kobe comes from Japan and anything else is faux Kobe. They serve it medium by the way. The place does allow you options: you can pick your own cheese, split onion rings and fries and mix up other items too. I may come back for the chicken tenders but I'm not sure as there are other options in the area that are better. Some additional negatives are very uncomfortable chairs, dining area is too hot and we spent 28.00 on 2 burgers, fries and drinks and that's ridiculous (too high) !!!!! read more

The parking lot has plenty of spaces on a weekend day, the owner (assuming) greeted us at the when we entered. Very friendly and suggested the kobe beef burger. The service was great, and I was impressed. My gf ordered the classic burger, ugh lame. I went with the kobe burger recommendation with Murphy build. The food came out in a fast order, the place was clean, and has an old times feeling. Food, the kobe beef burger with onions rings. Amazing, BBQ, medium cooked beef, sautéed onions. Amazing.. bread tastes great, not soggy. The breaded colossal onion rings were crispy, giant and amazing. A must item to eat. My hands still smell like onions from this place! Real Texas burgers. Big, all the fixings. Too much lettuce! I took it off and then I could taste the juicy meat and cheese. The onion rings are huge! I couldn't finish a single thing on my plate. I also had to use like 4 napkins. I want to try some other stuff on their menu next. I think this is mostly a place for the old timers who have been going here for years to get a burger. Their buns have too much bread for the patties, and they're just not very tasteful. Their fries have improved since the remodeling. I've also heard bad stories about the owner's wife that include her stealing the workers' tip money, but I supposed that story is only one sided. read more

So we went here just this last Saturday for lunch with a large group of friends the place was packed so luckily the outside temperature had warmed up and no one was sitting out on the patio so we took over the entire patio area and they brought out extra chairs. I had chili burger but substituted the patty for Buffalo also had onion rings they were off the chain good when they were warm but it was a little chilly outside so they became cold so I recommend eating them hot not quite as good when they cool down. As for that chili burger one of the better ones I've had in a while definitely recommend getting it. And I always go for Buffalo when there's that option.Unless there's some other different options that you don't find it most places that might go for that. All in all so glad we went hadn't been here in several years had completely forgotten about the place so if you have a never been here over to been a while I suggest go ahead and going on down and give them a try very friendly service and great chili burgers oh I tried some of the seasoned fries they were very good to. read more

Its plain to see how popular this burger joint is.. all kinds of folk were there on a Saturday afternoon. The folk running the restaurant are super friendly and kind.. we were delivered some of the best service.. and it was appreciated. Everyone joined their food.. it was fresh, hot, crispy and tasty. My California chicken sandwich consisted of a juicy marinated chicken breast, creamy avocado, melty white cheese, mayo, tomato, bun, etc. It was a tasty meal and wasn't salty or anything. Portion was quite decent.. felt quite full after eating half of the sandwich. Tried an onion ring from a friend... and it had a flavorful and crispy texture. I'll most definitely try something different off the menu when I visit next time around.. they have such a diverse menu and there is surely something for everyone. Patty's are thick and buns are toasted. Bacon is thick and meaty unlike the scrawny bacon from Whatburgwr. I'm a usual sucker for Whataburger or a Whopper but I've found the place for a burger now. We ordered dinner from Cliff's using UberEats last week. My son got the Murphy Burger, which was great - no problems. I ordered a Grilled Chicken Sandwich, no mayo, no cheese, extra lettuce & tomato, and no bun. When we received our food from UberEats, I was shocked at my Chicken "Sandwich". I did have extra lettuce and tomato, but the Chicken Breast was very small, about 1/2" thick, dry as dust, and weighed 3.9 oz. I was very disappointed, and personally, I don't think I will be ordering from them again. $12.50 for a 3.9 oz piece of dry, overcooked chicken, with 2 leafy lettuce leaves, and 3 thin tomato slices is a bit much. And that was the charge for the sandwich only - had I wanted fries, that would have been an additional $4.50. My son is a red meat eater, and loves their burgers, so he will be ordering from them. This was the first time I've eaten here and what struck me first was the friendliness of the people there. I was here with my YELP BOTM group and they helped us set up an area outside for us to sit. I had the Swiss/mushroom burger and decided not to have the bun (saving my calories as the holidays are upon us). The burger was very good, juicy and flavorful. The few french fries I stole from my husband were also very tasty. They had no problem serving me without the bun and added all the fixings on the side like a salad, perfect. The burgers are so flavorful and juicy and when I say the onion rings are the best I've ever had... I MEAN IT! I am not even a fan of onion rings normally but these are top notch. Only complaint Hubs said the bacon was precooked, quite thin sliced. Pricing seemed reasonable to me. I like it better than Southwells and the breakfast is better and cheaper than Fountainview Diner. Breakfast Stopped in for breakfast. They have quite a varied menu from traditional bacon and eggs, omelets, pancakes etc. I ordered 2 eggs overeasy with wheat toast and coffee and my tab was $9.75. First/Last time eating here. $18 for Kobe Beef burger, onion rings and drink. Ordered medium, received dry and tough. What really ticked me off was the two slivers of "Roma" tomatoes on this burger. Who serves mealy Roma's on a burger and they were so small I needed four slices. The lettuce was roughly chopped, not leaf and fell on my burger at first bite. Onion rings were at least 3/8" thick and not editable. Seriously, why would Cliff hand me a burger and onion ring order like this.
