I am updating my review to include their response and to add a bit more color. First, to be clear, this is what my review said and it is 100% true and I was even a bit light on what really occurred. It has been a while but this review has to be written. I had these guys upgrade my laptop to Windows 2010 and it was a nightmare! At this point my laptop is so messed up that I can't even use it, and it was a high end laptop. I am being forced to get a new system because of their incompetence. On top of that it cost me over $250 for this. The other thing I want to point out is the way the mgr treated the employees working on my system. He was abusive to them, snapping at them to both work on systems, answer the phones, and help customers. Ridiculous. At one point one of the employees literally broke down and we had to comfort him. I would not give this place one more minute of my business and I suggest you run, don't walk, to find another service provider. Seriously! This is their response. Keep in mind that they are trying to say that I am impossible to please based on all of my reviews. Well read my reviews and you will see that is not the case at all. I give credit where credit is due but I still believe in great service. I help my fellow yelpers avoid pitfalls! Pretty unprofessional response which is also inaccurate. Not only did they NOT contact me several times, they made this poor employee break down, not me. I have a witness and frankly I called them afterwards to tell them that they are lucky he does not sue them because he is in a protected category. They are treading on very thin ice here with their response. They are blaming my realistic expectations for the employee breaking down when in fact the mgr demanded that he fix several computers, answer the phones, greet the customers, etc. All the while the mgr just sat around and barked orders at this poor guy. AND, I did not get a refund! I paid for the bad service so check your records! And, lastly, unless you try to say more things that are just plain lies, I will NEVER ever let your company touch any of my eqpt again. Hi Lisa. I see that your situation happened last year. We were very proactive with you, contacting you several times, had much communication with you, and tried to meet your impossible expectations which did make our technicians break down. Last year I had some issues with what I think was a virus on my laptop. I took it to Clickaway and got a new harddrive. Sam was very helpful in explaining the difference between what I had and a SSD. Anyway, I told them that I wanted my data transferred from my old harddrive to the new one. I noticed that there were a few things that were not transferred over like my iTunes, my Google Drive quick access link and my fingerprint reader no longer worked. I called and let Sam know and he said bring it in and we'll take care of it for you. I ended up not bringing it in until now when I wanted to work on a project with digitizing my music collection. Edward L was very knowledgeable regarding digitizing my music as he was a DJ and was happy to offer information and answer questions I had. They wanted to charge me for the service but I said that this was something that was not completed last year and should be part of what I already paid for. They made it sound like they were doing me a favor by not charging me for what they failed to complete when they did the data transfer. All in all, I do trust them and would go back. read more

I just received another great service from ClickAway! The hard drive of my laptop, which I use for my main work, died. The manager Sam Afnani made himself available to help me. He replaced my hard drive with a really fast drive, an SSD (Solid State Drive). I appreciate very much that he recommended this kind of drive; it uses integrated circuit technology, which is a lot faster than mechanical disks. And he avoided having to reinstall windows and did an excellent job by cloning my damaged hard drive, transferring all its content to my new hard drive. Wow, this was not an easy job, since my old hard drive had numerous problems! But Sam Afnani was able to do it! This saved me a lot of time of having to reinstall all my programs again. And now my laptop works better than ever before; its speed is amazing. read more

My computer started acting weird and I brought it right in. They diagnosed it immediately (and offered more complete full free diagnosis). I decided just to buy a new one, so tried to get an appointment at one of 5 Apple nearby stores to purchase the new computer, but when I went in for my appointment I was told they did not have the model I wanted anywhere in the Bay Area. They said they could order it online but it would take a week to come in. I could not be without a computer that long. I came back to ClickAway (which I never thought of as a computer store) and they had exactly the model I wanted in stock, never thought I'd purchase it here. They had all the accessories I needed also, and best of all, transferred everything perfectly over to the new laptop, so when I opened the new one, it was like being on my old laptop exactly. Amazing! So little stress for me! They even made a backup for me on my new external harddrive. They did all this within 1 business day. These guys are a bit quirky, but awesome. Can't say enough, very satisfied with Click Away in my lone experience with them. I live in Phoenix, but was visiting my parents in the area last Christmas when my laptop screen cracked. Before calling Click Away I called and visited several other repair shops that all told me that there was no way that they could have my laptop repair completed in the 2-3 remaining days that I'd be in town. Called Click Away and they told me to bring my laptop in because they thought that they could possibley get it done in time. Ask for Borhan, he's great and he's earnest! My beloved XP from 8/03 went into a sign on/sign off loop, late Sunday. Due to Yelp, I chanced this small highly rated local business, instead of Frye's, and got Borhan. We brought it in at closing, I was distraught. Borhan called me the next morning to say that he had tried installing two new hard drives, and both had a bad sector, so the motherboard was dead. He was able to save my pictures, but he recommended a new computer. He had an XP, I won't use Vista, and I LOVE it. Best computer I ever had, under $1,000. out the door, pictures loaded, new graphics card, had it by Wednesday.. There was no charge for the work on the old computer, their policy if they can't fix it. Sure, I could have gotten it just a little cheaper online, but I prefer to have a local place, where I can bring it if something goes wrong, and I would prefer not to deal with shipping it at all. My husband's computer had an endpoint format invalid loop crash the SAME NIGHT I got my new computer, what are the odds? It was almost funny. He brought it to Borhan, who fixed it for $200., including the data save, and it was ready the next morning, overhauled, and running like new. It's a relief to find this place. Borhan has a quality of genuine goodness, he is a calming presence in the face of emotional distress that only a computer crash can bring, he's focused, and he cares. The place is immaculate, organized, has parking in front, centrally located, has great hours, reasonable repair prices, and very high standards, no more than three computers per tech at a time. read more

I needed to have the cracked screen replaced on my iPad Pro. I called ClickAway on Saturday morning and specifically asked if they would have time to replace the screen that day as I need my iPad for work. The rep on the phone said that they could, and to bring it in right away. I drove the 35 minutes to get my iPad in as quickly as possible. I talked to the rep that i spoke with on the phone he said that it should not be a problem, that they would have to evaluate it to give me a price quote and would call me in an hour or so and not to worry as they price match and are going to be the lowest price anyhow. He flat out lied. I never got a call from ClickAway. When I called on Monday a different rep said that it would take at least a week or more. That they had to order the part and it would cost $350. Obviously I took it to another repair shop who is only charging $250 and will have it completed in 2 - 3 days. read more

Seeing as ClickAway services damaged computers, I'm sure most people who walk in to ClickAway are not in the most chipper of moods. I certainly wasn't when I dropped off my computer after spilling hot tea all over it. But, Adam was my technician, and he was excellent. He personally called me to let me know that my data was recoverable (phew!), and then took the care to email me a few files that I needed ASAP. Furthermore, I needed to buy a new computer, and Sam gave me a teacher discount. I will definitely be back with any computer issues I may have in the future. Called to get a power cord for a quick fix for a Dell computer - the person who answered the phone was annoyed to have to use his energy to check and see if they had any around. They did, but wouldn't sell one to me because their technicians needed them for repairs - it's Friday at 3:30... how many would magically show up and need a power cable, no one can really say. He didn't offer an alternative but said I could buy a new one for 90 dollars. I told him it was a temporary fix - I offered to rent one for overnight for 20 and leave a cc number that he could charge me for a new one should I not return it. No. Do you know anyone who might have one? I've had my Dell Inspiron for over 5 years and the hard drive was about to go (blue screen every few hours). I brought it in around 2pm yesterday and Nick performed the diagnostic service and called me within the next hour. He gave me a few different options and I asked him to replace the hard drive. It was ready this morning and he had already installed a new HD, replaced the Vista operating system with XP (great call) and installed new AV software along with other applications. Apparently there were oodles of viruses, etc. Once the PC was back home, Saiyd (spelling?) was hired to come to our house to set up our new wireless printer (including connecting my Sony Vaio laptop to the network). Saiyd was friendly and professional. He set up everything nicely, and was even so kind as to: *Take a look at my stupid laptop when it wasn't connecting to our wireless network *Answer my inquiry over the phone, because AGAIN my laptop wouldn't connect to our network (this time it was a DIFFERENT reason!) OMG, these people saved my life, my MacBook Pro was having issues and turns out the hard-drive needed to be replaced. Eddy was great and he gave me a quote and it was 269 to get it all fixed. I'm a college student don't have a lot of money and was going to sacrifice all of the data that I had on my laptop (school work, photos, work stuff, etc). I took the laptop in and dropped it off at 12:30, Eddy called me at 3:00 to tell me it would be very easy to access my data on the old hard drive and he would only charge me $50.00 instead of the 299.00 he originally said it would be.
