I took my 2 computers here and they gave me a very high quote so I only had the pictures of one of them down loaded onto a usb. I asked them how big a usb I needed. They were unable to tell me so I had to get the largest which ended up only taking 1/4 of the usb. Then the man walked me out to put my laptops in the car and I didn't see what he was caring. Sadly for me he only returned to me one of the cords and kept the one for my sony laptop.The owner Sam called me and left a message. Well the manager called the next day to see how I felt about the service and and I told him how I felt that I was an inconvenience upon check-in and how they didn't call when my computer was done. He offered to install my operating system for free. I didn't have them install the operating system on the new hard drive because I didn't want to pay another hundred dollars for them to do that when I can do it at home. He assures 100% satisfaction guarantee so I brought my computer back with the software and letting him do it and I'm quite happy to do so. This place is great! My hard drive crashed (and of course, I have never backed up my data--- hard lesson learned!) and I took it to Click Away, as recommended by Apple. Greg was my technician and I could not have asked for a better guy! He tried his hardest, but my hard drive had a hard ware issue, therefore he could not help me recover my data and referred me to another place in San Jose. I ended up having my old computer refurbished since I did not want to buy a new computer and Greg did everything he could (beyond my expectations) to update my computer and get it back to working condition within days. In the end, my hard drive was so dead that nothing could be recovered, but Click Away and Greg did everything they could to make me happy. I can blame no one but myself in regards to my hard drive failure and me not being smart enough to back it up! I would recommend Click Away to anyone with any computer issue, especially with an Apple product. Very simple. They are good for computer/laptop repairs, but as far as virus and data recovery they are less successful. Charged me $179 claiming they removed a cryptowall virus, but were not able to recover photos & docs. Obviously they have not removed the virus because all my docs & pics are still all not able to be opened. In other words they took $179 for nothing. Besides that they left all kinds weird files behind and some Dell software gone. I am off worse than I started. Edit: My above comments were based on me venting out my emotions right after picking up my computer and started using it again. I was offered a second chance for them to attempt to resolve the issues at no cost. I really appreciate that and will raise my rating by two stars for that. I will increase my rating further after the second attempt results. Much thanks to Sam for taking the time to make me a happy customer. Edit 2: I received a call from store manager Sam who was very concerned about my unhappiness with the service. Sam asked for a second chance at correcting all the issues I had and they were successful in retrieving 15% of photos. Reliable and fast. The Apple store recommended ClickAway to help import data from my hard drive that was ruined. Apple was able to replace the hard drive in my Mac but they have a new policy that they do not transfer data/files. My IT department at work said they couldn't move the files either. Clickaway gave me a quote and called me later to let me know that my computer was running very hot and should be cleared otherwise I would have the same problem with my new hard drive. I was having ongoing issues with my ancient iPad so finally bit the bullet and took it in after calling first. I needed it fixed prior to taking a trip so was hoping that it could be done quickly. I called them after seeing tons of great Yelp reviews after my computer would not connnect to the Internet suddenly. I called and spoke to Sam who told me to bring it in instead of them coming to my home to fix. I suspected it was a maxed out hard drive but it also could have been XP update I was doing when it died. Sam took great care of me going over the cost for diagnostic which was an average price compared to other places I compared online. He told me it would be ready the next day and it was. It was the hard drive that was maxed out and they put in a new one, cleaned up my computer and organized all my files so easy to find from old hard drive and now my computer is LIKE NEW!!!! I can't believe how much faster it is overall. UPDATE: I was called the next day by Sam, the manager, who was very apologetic for my negative experience, offered a full refund, and was willing to do just about anything to make it right. He did not try to make excuses for the technician, But made it clear that this sort of experience is NOT what they are about, and wanted to follow up with my progress to make sure everything went well (I went back to making an appointment for support with the manufacturer). The result of this proactive response is to upgrade my rating and review, and be willing to go there again. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I took my Falcon Northwest Fragbox into this shop as I had a bad CPU fan. I had also contacted Falcon Northwest, but my warranty had expired. Falcon nevertheless offered free phone support to me or ClickAway, since the box is somewhat complex, bleeding edge and has some things to deal with in the bios when working on it. I relayed the issue to ClickAway, so that if there were any problems, they could contact Falcon and get an understanding of potential issues. They replaced the CPU fan and told me that they were getting Blue Screens when trying to boot up. I reiterated that this can happen, and that specific steps may need to be taken with the bios and or raid. They said that they would call. Later they called me and said that the box was ready. When I went in, they then told me that they had tried to call the company, and the company walked them through the issues, but that the hard drives (raid 1 - BOTH hard drives) had gotten corrupted, and that they would need to reinstall everything. The description of what they said that they did was a perfect recipe for screwing up the raid, which Falcon would never have advised. They then stated that the Falcon tech support had concurred. It slipped out that they had been talking to Falcon at 2:00AM on a weekend. I knew that Falcon tech support was only available on weekdays during business hours up until 6:00PM. I told them this. The tech said that "maybe it was their after hours tech support", but they don't have that. I called Falcon to see if the issue could be resolve and made an appointment for phone support. I asked if there was any record of their call. They reiterated that there is no after hours support, and that they had never gotten a call. I was charged over $200 for replacing a fan, and was given back a more broken computer, after the technician LIED TO MY FACE! Needless to say, I will never go back there. Finally I have a reliable computer repair place I can turn to! My 7 year old Toshiba laptop died earlier this week and I was afraid I would lose all the data on it because I couldn't even turn it on. Luckily I found ClickAway in Campbell. You walk in their door, somebody immediately waits on you, and gives you a seat. Ashor, the technician who helped me was very thorough and outlined what he was going to try to do. Long story short, the laptop had a bad motherboard and could not be replaced. The good news was he was able to retrieve all my data off the old laptop. So I got into a new laptop which they gave me at a very good price and Ashor configured it for me and it was ready for pick up the next day. This was my first experience with Click Away and I will definitely be using them again!!! My In-law's network had been having problems and after exhausting all of my limited computer knowledge on the network, I found ClickAway on Yelp and decided to give them a try. I emailed ClickAway explaining the issue and Greg Gantt called back the next morning. He explained that the problem sounded like some sort of malware and recommended that I perform a few checks using free software found on the internet in order to avoid him having to come out and unnecessarily charging for sitting around while the computer does hours of virus scans, checks, etc. I ran the checks and it seemed to help slightly. Then over the weekend my networked crapped the bed (yes that's legitimate computer terminology). I called Greg on Monday and he showed up Tuesday morning ready to change the proverbial diaper (yes another legitimate computer term...look it up) on this network. He could have reconfigured the router to support the whole house with good coverage in one area and spotted Wi-Fi in the rest of the house and been done. Instead he took the time to get the equipment my in-laws paid for to work properly and have the dual band router broadcast in 2.4 GHZ and 5 GHZ, reconfigure the Wireless Access Point, and a few other things that I didn't really understand, but I think it involved ball bearings (who knew!).And all of this was done in less than two hours. It wasn't super cheap (about $200) but it was done right! I am in the process of remodeling my house and already told Greg to expect my call in a few months to hook up my home network. He even took the time to explain what I should do in advance of him coming out and even made recommendations as to what kind of networking equipment I should look at. Thanks Again Greg. read more

After I could not restart my laptop I went to the Apple store. An employee told me my hard-drive had failed and I needed to replace it. He referred me to two different places for data recovery (I had nothing backed up - total nightmare). After making a call to a different place that quoted me between $1600 - 2400, I went to ClickAway to have them look at it. I was prepared to pay whatever it took to get my data back. At ClickAway Greg Gantt was extremely helpful. He kept my laptop to run diagnostics on it and when he called me back a few days later I got the best possible news: it was only a failed cable, not a failed hard-drive at all. No idea why Apple was not able to figure this out - if I had not gone to ClickAway I might have either given up on my data and wasted money on a hard-drive I did not need or agreed to pay up to $2400. I had a good experience at Click Away. My ipod touch screen was broken, and they replaced the glass. However, I noticed some problems with the touch screen sensitivity after I took it out of the shop, so I brought it back and they worked on it some more. In the end, the technician actually brought the unit to the Apple store and got me a replacement. How they did that, I'll never guess - since it was broken due to being dropped so it's not supposed to be covered by warranty. But anyway, we got our ipod touch back in brand new condition, and that's what counts! read more

I took my HP Slimline desktop for repairs at this place. It had a corrupt OS that i needed to get fixed with a clean windows install. I was very pleased with the experience. They kept me informed via phone calls on the overall progress and diagnostics. This place is slightly pricier than other PC repair places but more or less a it's peace of mind. Previously i had taken my PC to other places and was not satisfied with the diagnostics and services offered. I'm quite happy with their service. At least they won't upsell or rip you off. Save your money folks. I took my lap top to click away in Dec 2014. They did a diagnostic check and told me the lap top was too old and not worth fixing. They offered to sell me a refurbised one and when I told them I could not afford as I'm a senior on disability. Ashor, my technician, then asked me what I could afford. After some negotiation, A refurbbished Toshiba lap top was offered j I could afford. Unfortunately, it appeared that Click Away had not fully checked the machine prior to selling it to me. The touch pad didn't respond properly. Back at Click Away and after over a week there I was told this was normal. They then tried to sell me a mouse, but after telling them it was a rip off they gave me the mouse. After a few weeks I noticed the cursor was "jumping" all over any document or message I was working on. It took hours to complete anything. Back to Click Away Away for more testing. Over a week later I'm told everything has been fixed and it was running even faster as wellas the touch pad was "miraculously" fixed not needing the external mouse any longer! No mention was made about the cursor problem. I was told then that if I had any more problems they might have to replace the keybord. Well after another couple of weeks I call and tell them that the machine was still not working properly. The lap top has now been at Click Away after more than a week again! I then get a call saying they were going to have to order another key board. A few days (5) go by and I get a message that the key board was in and they would install it for $49. They don't even know if this will fix the machine!! I give up you guys , I seriously doubt you know what you're doing. I might add that on more than one occasion there were other customers there complaning! I gave them three stars as Ashor handled my complaints very well. Kudos to Ashor for his great diplomacy on customer service. REVISED 9/25/2015 I have upgraded my previous review to 4 stars, if there was a way to it, I would have given 4 1/2 stars. Honestly, I would have liked to have put 5 stars, but the amount of time it took (approximately 8 months excluding the 1 month it took from when I took my first computer in and the day I said I would like to proceed in the purchase of the refurbished Toshiba) to be totally unsatisfactory. It just should not have taken so long! I compliment ClickAway for finally offering me a refurbished HP laptop, for no cost. Regretfully, I believe that their offer to provide me with the HP Laptop came shortly after I wrote my first review. My ex-husband's older laptop was having severe issues & we took it to ClickAway. We were greeted by Ashor who pulled up the history of the laptop and saw that my ex had already had the laptop in a few times before for similar issues over the past couple of years. Ashor looked at the laptop and determined that the hard drive was going bad. He gave us a quote on replacing the hard drive along with copying the contents. He also gave us a price on a newer, faster laptop with Windows 7, all contents copied over including favorites, bookmarks, home page, etc. We discussed the options & decided that it was time for the old laptop to finally be "laid to rest" and purchase a new one. We were there on Sat. the 8th and promised to have the new computer tonight (the 11th) which was right on. These guys were great! Especially Ashor, who helped me. I got some nasty malware on my Dell PC. Completely my fault. I used my MacAfee on it and it didn't work. Then I took it to Office Max for their free PC tuneup. They sold me some anti-Malware software. It didn't work. I took it back and they kept it for 2 days, called me and said it was ready. I took it home and it started popping boxes and opening web sites within 20 minutes. Took it back again (this is the third trip for those of you counting) and they apologized profusely. Kept it another two days. Took it home and it WAS NOT fixed. I called Click away and took it there. Paid them $179 and Ashor assured me that they could and would fix it. They kept is a couple days. I took it home and it still wasn't fixed. Popped boxes with offers that I could refuse and opened up website offering to "clean" my PC. I took it back and Ashor couldn't believe that it wasn't fixed. He took it over to the diagnostic area and started working on it. Turns out the malware was in my Google Chrome browser. He deleted the browser off my PC, reinstalled it, ran the anti-Malware and sent me on my way. It has been good for 3 weeks now and I am eternally grateful! read more
