I appreciate this as many people will call five minutes before arriving and you are rushing around getting ready. Upon arrival he was dressed professionally and laid out why he was there and what all he was going to be doing. The job he was doing for us was not small and I watched as he hustled back and forth installing and setting everything up. All was well on the job when he informed me that our front camera did not have the pre-wiring it was supposed to have. I was expecting to be told that this would be a delay and I would have to make a separate appointment to have the wiring installed. However, he said he would installing the missing wiring. This had him spending an extra 45 minutes in our attic running this wiring. It was over 90 degrees outside and I cannot imagine how hot it was in the attic. He finished the work and got everything installed. I knew these delays put him late for another install. However, Carlos never rushed the job and made sure everything was working perfectly. He then took the time to setup the video analytics and walk me through the operation of every component. I have already been impressed with BSG's sales consultant, Stephanie Sieckenius, and Carlos was further proof that BSG cares about its customers and their reputation. Highly recommend BSG and if you are lucky, Carlos will be your installer.

The date and place was set up over the course of two different phone calls with a very polite gentleman. Now fast forward to the actual day: I didn't know what time they would show because as it was explained to me, they would have other pick ups and did not want to guarantee a time. That's fine with me. But when the guys did come over, they completely had no clue as to who was involved or what was going on. I opened the door to the one who knocked (I didn't see the other guy downstairs) and he had no introduction, nothing to say. He just stood there with a piece of paper in his hand. I asked him if he was here from the Salvation Army and he said 'Uh... yeah." Then the other guy downstairs said "Yeah, we're here to pick up. Is this the right address?" When I confirmed, I showed them where all the furniture was gathered into my living room. They both came in and looked and just seemed so lost (there was a LOT of dead air). I asked, "Don't you have a list of the items? When I called to make the arrangements for pick up, the guy on the phone took down a list of items." They just looked at me again and said, "Uh... yeah." I was definitely starting to lose faith in the whole process. Although I will say this, that once all of that confusion was taken out of the equation, and they moved all that crap outta my place, I was relieved. It didn't take them long at all. So my three stars - to the gentleman on the phone and the fact that it went quick after said confusion...

I spoke to two different gentlemen that assured me this was exactly the kind of items they want. So, I scheduled a pick up - where you have no idea when they will show up that day unless you call the day of schedule. And, even then, when you call on the day of the schedule, they will still only commit to a three hour window. Whatever, I just wanted the stuff gone. Fast forward to the day of pick up. The guys arrive. Don't introduce themselves, but it is hard to miss the SA truck in the background. So, I tell them that it's already in the garage. The minute the door opens - the older guy starts dissing my stuff! Look at the ding mark. This thing is too old, etc. The end game? THEY REFUSED TO TAKE IT. After I called to make sure. And then, to really make my day, I realized after they left that the documentation that were the ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS to the TV that they refused to take - they TOOK! SO, they took my documents, but not my working TV. I think my charity of choice has changed. Not impressed. ALL IN ALL - I DO NOT Recommend their Pick up Service. ______________UPDATE_________________________ Salvation Army contacted me (after I sent an e-mail) to pick it up. They apologized via phone and via e-mail. I respect that. Thus, I've upped the rating to a 3 of 5. _____________2nd UPDATE___________________________ The SAME guys arrived to pick up the items. Talk about uncomfortable. All in all, it's gone; however, it has definitely left a negative feeling in my mouth. All I wanted to do was give away a working HDTV to someone that could use it. It would have been easier and less hassle to put it out with the curbside collection that arrives once a year. All in all - I still can't recommend.

I also purchased 2…read moreextended warranties that we were, very specifically told by the salesman, Michael Perez, would cover ANYTHING that could happen to these sofas for 3 yrs. This gave us the satisfaction and confidence to pay thousands for these "SHAQ" sofas. At the completion of the transaction, we were given a folded brochure that he said contained the phone numbers to call if we had any issues. He went so far as to say he would personally take care of any issue. Since we live in Rockport, Texas, both sofas were delivered on 04/22/25 out of the Corpus Christi, Texas, location. - On 04/04/26, I was looking for something that had fallen between the seat cushions and placed a small flashlight, bulb down on the arm for maybe 5 seconds not realizing that I had left it on. When I picked it up, it had burnt a 1/4" hole in the armrest. - I immediately retrieved the brochure & submitted an online claim at the website shown in the brochure. On Monday, 04/06/26, I received an email from Fortegra, the warranty company, stating that since the damage was not caused by a cigarette, cigar or pipe, the claim was being denied. The hole looks just like a cigarette burn. Would they rather I lie about the cause? Unlike Fortegra, I have a moral conscience to do what is right. I was told that since the couch was still under the 1 yr store warranty, I should call the store. - At the store, I spoke with Valentine. He told me that Michael was out until 04/08/26 but that he would advance my claim and get back with me the next day. Today, 04/07/26, I received a call from Jasmin at the Customer Care Corporate Management Team telling me that Rooms-To-Go warranty does not cover burns and that there is no way they will override the warranty company's decision. When I asked for the next level person, she said there isn't a higher level and that anyone I call will tell me the same thing. - This is about morality not $. From ROOM-TO-GO: 04/08/26 We are in receipt of this claim. Rooms To Go offers a 1-year warranty against manufacturers' defects as stated in the terms of sale located on the purchase receipt. An extended service plan powered by Fortegra was also purchased for the items on their order. Please note the guidelines of what is/is not covered is clearly outlined on the paperwork provided at the point of sale and on the website referenced on the purchase invoice. Consumers sign at point of sale they have read and agreed to all terms pertaining to their purchase. Unfortunately, the damage being reported is considered consequential and not accidental, which is why Fortegra denied their claim. Fortegra will only review applicable damages as listed on the terms of their contract reported within 30 days of occurrence. Since the caused damage falls outside the scope of either warranty/ extended service contract, we would be unable to offer any options. The customer is welcome to discuss the denial with Fortegra directly should they wish to dispute their decision. Thank you, Nannette O. Presidential Assistant My RESPONCE: 04/08/26 Complaint: 24724616 I am rejecting this response because: It's the typical immoral corporate bait and switch. The salesmen will say anything to make the sale, including outright lies, and Rooms-To-Go backs them up. As long as that continues, it will never change. BUYERS BEWARE. Leave this company and go somewhere that values its customers and will back up what customers are told by salespeople. Until this, I've held Rooms-To-Go in high regard. That has absolutely changed. In avoiding a small and easy fix on their part, they have lost a family of customers forever. Neither I nor anyone in my family will ever buy from them again. I also intend to let everyone I know on social media how Rooms-To-Go devalues our business relationship with them as inconsequential and not worth an approximate $50 fix on a $7000 purchase. The sad part is that if I had taken the immoral route and lied about the cause of the damage, the claim would have been approved. They would have never known, but I would have. I had truly believed that they would take the high road and honor the word of their employee. I guess the dollar means more to Rooms-To-Go than morality and customer satisfaction. I have a hard time believing that everyone at Rooms-To-Go cares so little about their customers, if this situation were to be exposed to someone who actually does care. I would appreciate a response from them.

Immediately after signing the contract (and I mean literally, *immediately* after) there was a dramatic switch. We were locked in and they knew it. Caveat emptor. The three years of coverage was periodically marked by technical issues that were a pain to coordinate and resolve. Our outdoor storage shed got burgled a couple of times and interacting with True Protection I just remember having the sense that they did not GAF, to be blunt. The alarm system, and monitoring was a nuisance and source of stress. You will be better served with a DIY solution from Best Buy that does not rely on locking yourself in to these contracts. It is incredibly rare for me to bother giving a negative review. I try to review small businesses I interact with who do great work. When I saw the email soliciting reviews in my inbox, I was kinda shocked. Looking at all the glowing reviews, I found myself agreeing with another reviewer who thought this was deluged with friends and family pumping the numbers. It's just hard for me to imagine a company that consistently delivered such a poor customer experience for multiple years could have these glowing reviews. I I will say it again: prior to signing the contract they are amazing. After you sign it is all downhill. Beware.
