Great casual place for pizza and to order out! The girls behind the counter were very nice and attentive, and they were willing to make a new pie for us if they didn't have a flavor we wanted. Good food, but consistently wrong orders. 90% of the time, we order the same thing - clams in fra diavlo sauce. Once again, my order was wrong. Instead, I was given penne in arrabiata sauce. Apparently, I was told that when I order clams in white or red sauce it means it's just the sauce - doesn't come with clams and I have to specify I want clams. What?!? I've never heard of such a thing... Every restaurant/pizzaria that has this dish on the menu has clams in the white or red sauce! If I wanted pasta in fra diavlo sauce, I would have ordered that! Either the staff doesn't know what they're doing or the menu is misleading. I'm finally writing this out of frustration. Enough is enough. Please train your staff correctly to understand the menu because there are many other instances that we've ordered where the questions/responses that we were asked shows that they don't know what the menu is. In closing, I will say that the people taking the order are nice and pleasant and willing to make amends for the mistakes, but in my opinion, it would alleviate most of the mistakes/issues if they were trained properly. read more

Can't believe we waited so long to try this place, the food was delicious!! I order chicken parm everywhere I go and this is one of the best I've had in the area. Oh my was this delicious pizza. My husband brought home a specialty pie with ricotta under the mozzarella, vodka sauce and I think bacon. It was phenomenal. When I ate a refrigerated cold slice the next day, it was just as good. Also, the best cold pizza I have ever eaten. Next time, I would like to try the grandmas pie that everyone Yelps about. The best pizza around. In fact, this is some of the best pizza I've ever had. The simplicity is what makes it perfect. Thin foldable slices with the perfectly flavored sauce and just the right amount of cheese. I would say don't even bother with toppings because of how good the basic pie is. The only topping we ever get is garlic, which will leave your breath kickin but its definitely worth it. This pizza is even better reheated the next day. The grandma slices are also fantastic, but the real winner here is the standard pie. I've never eaten in the restaurant, but the take out is always ready within 15 min of calling. I have been coming here consistently for a few months. Called to make a delivery for a party on Saturday. We had 20 people staying at the embassy suites hotel, and were going to make a family lunch. When I called the rude lady(sounded 15) told me they will not bring the food into the hotel, obviously I hung up the phone, because I am not going to carry trays of pasta in my suit. The lady's excuse was pathetic!... she said it's a big building the driver can get lost.. lol is all I can say. I hope the owners are aware of this unprofessional behavior. We were going to order 5 pies, 6 orders of pasta,entrees, sandwiches, drinks... total would have been over 600$, if I am the owner I am taking this out of her paycheck! My wife and I were looking to grab some pizza and we wanted to try a new place, so we took a ride down to Berkeley Heights. We came across Clemente's located right next to King's on Springfield Ave. Upon entering, the place is nothing special. Not much decor, only a few tables and there weren't even many slice pies to choose from. But, the guy working there sold us on the Grandma's pie. We ordered a few slices to eat there. The pizza was excellent. The Grandma's pie wasn't as thick as a sicilian but similar. You could just taste how fresh the tomatoes were and you taste the fresh "mutz", as well. When we first walked in, I really wasn't expecting much but the pizza pretty much blew me away. The guy working there actually said that they were voted the best Grandma's pie in Union County. I don't doubt it - it was near perfection. I am going to head back here again, and if they come through, I may even have to bump this place up to 5 stars. Prices were reasonable, too. read more

I recently moved to the area from out of state. I decided to make this the first pizza delivery place I try. This was a huge mistake. The pizzas crust was alright- very thin. But the sauce on the pizza was almost nonexistent and the cheese had far too strong of an orange cheddar taste. I also ordered garlic knots. Those were equally disgusting. Covered in minced garlic, it was like taking a spoon full of minced garlic to the mouth... And I usually say the more garlic the better. The dough for the knots very bland and not buttery at all. We ordered a Margarita pizza. It came with little pools of tomato sauce on top that were poured to look like whole tomato slices. The was no basil on the pie (the description said fresh basil leaves)... Not present in any form. I'll post a picture of this cheese pizza with little circles of sauce. We also ordered a pizza with artichokes, it came with anchovies. The high school girls working the phones don't know the difference between a fish and a vegetable apparently. Stopped by here after visiting the area and unsuccessfully having a night out (we tend to forget to make reservations). We tried Delicious Heights as our fifth or so stop in an attempt to eat out in Berkeley Heights, and we were slapped with another ridiculous wait time. So back to the car we went when I noticed this tiny place and that was that. I HAD to eat then and there (hangry) and I'm glad this was where we ended up. We have local pizzerias by us but we like to go to Clemente's if we want something special. I'm talking about their Grandma's pizza. It's a huge square shaped pizza smothered with marina sauce with chunks of tomatoes, fresh basil leaves and fresh mozzarella then baked til perfection. I ordered for our office around 11am I was told it would be an hour before the pies were delivered. At 12pm no pizza arrived. I waited till 1230 to call. I was told we had to wait due to a big order before ours being delivered. The pizza finally arrived at 1pm...2 hours after the order was placed. The pizza was cold like it had been sitting out for hours...2 to be exact! Had they not planned on delivering for two hours this should have been told to us at time of ordering and they should have waited to make our pizzas till time of delivery! The taste wasn't that great either. We ordered a plain, pepperoni (which tasted blah), buffalo chicken (which had no sauce on it), and a 1/2 mushroom 1/2 sausage.
