I ordered before from here and thought their pizzas were so so. They advertised get 10% off if you use the clover app, so I ordered from here. Give them another chance. When I went to pick up the pizzas, I charged the purchase with my Amex before they said "oh you can't use an Amex but we'll charge it just this once". Huh?? then I said I have the clover app but I forgot my cellphone in the car. They said "it's already charged. Can't do anything now. Order again in a few days to get the 10%." They would not reverse the charge or give me the 10% off or a coupon for next time. Nothing!! Also they advertise a website which doesn't work. What??? Poor customer service. A website that doesn't work. And so so pizza. Never going back!!! read more

Got our first taste of this newish place in town. Was hoping to find a home run pizza place that was super close and reasonably priced. We got a plain pie to start. First impressions are the sauce is fantastic and overall taste is great. Crust could be a bit thinner. I can't put my finger on it but the crust was missing something. But overall the pie was good. I did notice their large is a bit on the smaller side compared to our usual go to spot, even though it is the same cost. Overall we will return and try more of the items since it's so close and we like to support local places as best we can. read more

One bite everyone knows the rules. I got a sorry ass takeout slice the other night. I was pretty disappointed. LOTS of grease, hardly any flavor. On par with Dominoes if you asked my honest opinion. I was torn on whether or not to give this place two stars. I went back and forth pondering whether it would just be an emotional decision because, comparatively to the ghosts of Main Avenue past, it's an improvement. But the unfettered truth is as follows. Yes, All American Pizza lives up to it's name because it is just that: "American" pizza. No self-respecting Italian food aficionado would ever consider this place to meet the mark. The crust is bland and the texture has much to be desired. The sauce is plain, flavorless and if I had to describe it in one word: industrial. The price is particularly non-competitive even if the pizza were a quality product here, but the unavoidable fact of the matter is that it is not. This is terrible, expensive pizza. The inherent problem here is that there is no shortage of pizza a short distance from this place. Comparatively, it ranks at the bottom of every conceivable category in the pizza making and the pizza eating spectrum. Drive three minutes in any direction and you will be a much happier customer. Pay particular attention to DiMaio's in Berkeley Heights or Figaro in Basking Ridge because those pizza joints A.) know how to make pizza B.) Have other traditional menu items available to offset any short-comings in the pizza department. I would be remiss if I didn't bring up the thulian colored elephant in the room. Where All American Pizza is use to be a rickety, wood paneled, linoleum layered, throwback-to-the-mid-eighties store front with a thulian exterior. It was a true eye sore and frankly a disgrace to it's neighbors who pay among the highest property taxes on the planet. So as I was writing this review; I thought to myself, "Don't they deserve an extra star for doing a truly remarkable job of honoring the history of the neighborhood all while replacing the pizzeria known as Marcello's, which it wouldn't have taken a whole lot of convincing for me to persuade you is where scenes from Breaking Bad were filmed, and putting something respectable looking there?" The answer is yes. They DID get an extra star for the construction and architectural work. Were it not for that, All American gets zero stars. Your whole gig is pizza. It would be like if you went to a sporting goods store and they only had sub par sporting equipment comparable to a big box store and nothing else. Crazy place. A group of kids from the local school (including my daughter) went to the pizza joint for lunch. The owner told them to stop moving tables together (what kids and adults do when together as a group) and then told them they exceeded the occupancy (not true). The kids then left and spent their money across the street at Biagios where they were welcomed with open arms. Now the entire school is talking about it. Guess it pays to value good customers! And I'm proud they knew enough to leave! read more

AMAZING pizzeria! The owner worked with the former owner of the Pizza Mill from 2004 to 2011 and has continued the amazing recipes and service. It was nice to see a return to the amazing quality that was missing after the sale of the business in 2011. read more

I ordered the All American Cheesesteak and mozzarella sticks, it was all delicious! The sauce that came along with the mozzarella sticks was the best and I loved the spices they used to make it. They had my order ready in 15 minutes and it was piping hot when I picked it up. Next time I will have to try their pizza! read more

Wow, what a great addition to this area. I popped in for lunch and kept it simple, plain slice and house salad with balsamic. The slice was perfectly done with a perfect blend of cheese and sauce, the crust was paper thin with a crust that was perfect. My salad was super fresh iceberg with ripe tomatoes and a curl of provolone. The balsamic dressing had that tart mouth feel without being overbearing. The restaurant was clean and the owner Nick was very approachable and obviously proud of his work. I will follow up soon, the food was so good I'm having them cater a party I'm having. Maybe it is not a world class spot, but it certainly doesn't warrant some of the overly negative reviews. It is a good neighborhood spot for convenience and good pizza. The cheese on the pizza is really excellent as well. You want a Brooklyn pie, go to Brooklyn. Is it the Star Tavern, Reservoir Tavern or even DiMaio, no, but it certainly deserves support when you stay local because, if for no other reason than to support our Veterans who are owners and I will sacrifice a bit to show that support. read more

Please run from this establishment and order from a better pizza place. All American or Brooklyn Pizza(depending on which app- same address) is such a disappointment!! Our pizzas were delivered so cold that the grease was hard on top, missing extra cheese, and missing strawberries on the dessert pie which we had paid extra for and no parmesan or red peppers and through a drawn out complaint conversation- the first option was they offered to reimburse $5-yes!! five dollars on a $50 fifty dollars order. After declining that- they offered a 6%, yes six percent coupon for my next order. After declining that; they offered to redeliver the items but we'd have to return the messed up pizzas. Oh! And I'd have to pick up/drop it off as they wouldn't provide a driver. (I ordered delivery for a reason- not to drive to fix their mistakes.) The employees were rude, unhelpful and none of the 3 options ever happened. Do not order from them, I'm sure your money and time could go to a better restaurant. Want to love the pizza here and just gave it another try after getting slices and another time a whole pie about a month or 2 ago. The crust was and still is so bland. I'm guessing if they just added more salt it would be great. The pizza could use more sauce also. The sauce tastes good but never enough on the pies. I'm hopeful they will improve because I really missed having a pizza place on Main Ave since Marcello's II closed. I am a loyal customer that came over from the now defunct Pizza Mill, and we are happy to support Veterans in our neighborhood. I've read some of the reviews on yelp and would encourage the owner to take some of the comments seriously. More flavor is always good, crispier crust the same. Overall, just need more consistency week to week. Each Friday, we call looking for a delicious grandma pie. After all, they were great at "The Mill" and we know you can do it. However, we call for delivery and ask if they will make it for us and we are usually turned away, forced to order elsewhere.
