It may sound funny, but one day I was in the area picking up food for dinner and I got a hankering for slice of pizza. Fortunately Capri Pizza was a block away so I decided to check it out for the first time. Capri is inside an interesting structure. Unlike traditional pizza shops with bench seating or tables laid out to one side, Capri has a counter where you order and a second level a bit higher up that I did not explore. I ordered a slice with mushrooms and it was put together and served up very quickly. I have to say I really enjoyed it! The crust was thin and crisp, allowing for a structurally sound "fold". The sauce was good, with a nice balance between savory and sweet (favoring the former). The cheese had good flavor and was melted beautifully. They also weren't stingy on the mushrooms! I look forward to going back to Capri to try other slices. Definitely worth a visit! read more

I ordered a half Pepperoni pizza. The 4 slices were huge. It looked and smelled great when I picked it up. It tasted a little bland as it needed something. The crust was not crispy, as I wished it was. Still a decent pie. Filling for sure. Again, it just needed something. read more

I'm only commenting on the cheese pizza not the subs. For me there is a delicate balance of cheese to tomato sauce, that cannot be broken. This pizza is 90 percent cheese (thick cheese) and 10 percent sauce. If you like a very cheesy or extra cheese pizza, this might be for you. For me, it makes the pizza a little too oily and removes the taste. There is also just a lot of cheese which doesn't melt nicely so you are just chewing on cheese at times. Once again not my thing but I think some folks like that. read more

I have only lived in the neighborhood for a couple of months now and finally found a go to for pizza. Drove by it quite a few times before I decided to just stop for a slice. I love that the sauce is layered all the way to the crust and that they use whole milk cheese and not that part skim stuff that stiffens up when it cools. Yes its a little greasy but thats what you get when you eat really good pizza. As for the comments about the masks, I have yet to go in while they were not wearing it. spider crawled out of my pizza box. Underside of the box was covered in dust and webs. Pizza was amazing though. People that work there are sort of cranky and not the most personable and the no gloves while making the pizza is a little gross but it is the old school way. Pizza is 10/10. i work nearby and decided to give this place a try. When i was charged 10 dollars for a grilled chicken salad i thought, this is the last time i'll order from this place. It will certainly not be the last time ! This is the most insanely delicious grilled chicken salad I have ever been served! the chicken strips were cooked to perfection and distributed in abundance, the lettuce was fresh and crispy and the chunks of olives and cheese made the salad appetizing and so satisfying. i also loved the light oil and vinegar container sprinkled with oregano to accompany the salad such a nice touch ! i know it sounds silly to rave about a salad but i've been trying to eat lighter and healthier and if the salad is prepared this good then the rest of the food must be great! read more

Today I changed it up from my usual 1 - 2 slices by getting a meatball sub. Everything is kept cold until you order. They build the sub, put it in tray and heat it up in their blistering hot pizza oven. It only took a couple of minutes to get hot. Good amount of sauce, not so much so it's leaking everywhere. The sauce was mild, probably the pizza sauce but good. The meatballs were a good size, about 2.5 inches. Three filled the half sub roll. The bread was nice, soft and chewy with a little crunch from being heated. Meatballs were pretty good and I'm a self proclaimed meatball snob because mine are killer. So I was on a site on Facebook for the best pizza restaurant around a certain area. One day Capri Pizza pops up so those who know me know I have to try it and boy I wasn't disappointed. The thin crust was good with a tasty sauce. From talking to the workers that day they explained to me that everything at the restaurant is good. I asked about the cheesesteaks and they said it's the best. Fast forward to two weeks later which is tonight I order two cheesesteaks one with extra meat and the other regular and I tell you the truth they didn't lie.
