Took my 2016 Audi A6 in for an oil and filter change Nov. 13, 2025. After 0nly 372 miles I saw an oil puddle of clear oil on my garage floor. I called them to report this, they said bring it in for a diagnostic steam clean and dye to the oil for I think $130 or so. I feel they should have look at it for free seeing as though I told them there was no leak before they did the oil change. Took the car into another auto repair to have them look at it. the problem was the wrong oil pan plug and washer was installed resulting in the leak. I would like a refund of the cost to have it diagnosed and repaired with the proper plug and washer was $160.43. I won't charge you for my time. read more

To be fair, I haven't actually gotten a service from this place, but that's kind of the point. They were honest and transparent about what I needed and did not need. I came in because my car was squealing when I started it, but it did not do it on the day of the appointment. Rather than blowing me off or charging me for something I may not need, they opted to make sure my car was safe to drive and inspected the engine. They noticed that I had some oil build up, so they taught me how to check my oil and educated me on how to take care of that in both the short and long term. They made sure my serpentine belt was safe to drive and answered all of my questions, despite not charging me. No one works on commission here, and they really seem to do right by the customer. I will for sure be back with any of my auto mechanic needs! read more

Ok, I love this place. Everyone is nice and I feel like they are taking care of me. The other thing I love is that they look at the car, then send you a link that you can choose what you want done. I LOVE that I don't get lectured about what I should and shouldn't do with my car. I also feel like I'm not getting ripped off. Don't get me wrong, they charge and are not cheap - but I feel like I'm paying for a quality shop, to give me a quality repair. Brian and Riley at the front desk were both great! Answered every call and answered all my question. Thank you for being so awesome! I LOVE that the tech sent me a video with the repair quote so I could see and hear his explanation on what and why he was suggesting the repair. This place is a scam! Beware! Sketchy video they show you of your so called "car" explaining and showing what's wrong with it! No mechanic came out to tell me what was wrong with my car. The front desk lady told me what was wrong with it by showing me this sketchy video of what was supposed to be "my car". They definitely misdiagnosed the issue of my car and luckily was able to find a trust worthy mechanic to help me and solve the problem. DO NOT COME HERE! I spent $180 to diagnose my car and to be told I needed to spend $5000 to replace my transmission. I recently brought my van in to have my rear differential and coupling completely replaced. This was a huge cost and they were very responsive and quick in getting the work done. Dealing with car issues are the worst, but dealing with Clegg Auto wasn't bad at all. I would recommend if you are needing service done to your vehicle. read more

took my car here to have a thermostat replaced which took 3 days before they even looked at it. I told them very specifically what i wanted done and for some strange reason the car began running terrible while it was there and later on i was told the car needed a valve job. it felt suspicious to me so i took the car to another shop and the discovered the exhaust system had been intentionally blocked with all sorts of junk i had it all cleaned out and now amazingly the car runs better than ever. these guys are just not professionals in any way and if they think they can take advantage of you they surely will try to read more

i came in with my car all screwed up and broken down from a different lube service and they fixed her right up. friendly folk, offering me a complimentary ice cream and drink while i waited for my ride to come pick me up the day i broke down. they then kept me updated on the diagnostic and gave me a very comprehensive look at what was wrong with my car via a form. this form gave video proof of what was wrong with my car. the form also had me select what specifically i wanted to repair with a price breakdown of each option so i knew exactly how much i needed to spend. a terrific experience read more

They kept me updated every step of the way. Susan was so kind, friendly and helpful. Even staying late while my car was being towed to their business. I was very disappointed in my experience with Clegg Auto AF. I dropped off my truck on Monday and was told they could look at it Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning. Tuesday I got a call from Laramie, (a quote which included $500 to replace 1 tire...about double the price of other tire shops for the same quality of tire) I elected to not have them replace the tire but some other items. After checking off the items, I submitted it and called in to see when this would be finished. Laramie said it would be ready by the end of the day (Tuesday). They did not finish that day (Tuesday). I got a call right before they closed telling me they would have it ready tomorrow. I called around 2:00 the next day to check in and see if it would be ready. Laramie told me they were working on it and should be done by the end of the day. I then got a call from her at 4:30, she said they were having trouble with taking the differential off in order to fix the Left Axle Seal. She apologized for the wait but said it will be ready Thursday morning. Well, Thursday morning came and went with no phone calls or updates on my truck. I called that afternoon to get an update and they said they had taken my truck to their Provo location for someone else to try and take a part off. This was unsuccessful and they said I either needed to pay for a replacement part, or they could put my truck back together as it was before. I needed my truck back, so I told her to have them put it back as was. Laramie mentioned on the phone that I would still need to pay a portion of the labor even though they did not complete the job they committed to. For some background, they had finished the other items I requested to be done and didn't have an issue paying for those. The original labor quote for that item was $545. They said with the issues they have they will only charge me $220 for that particular item. I told her that I was not going to pay for something that they didn't accomplish. She told me her boss would call me back to discuss this. I received no call from her boss and decided to come in person to the shop at 5:00 and find out what was going on. Laramie went and found Garrett when I got there. Garrett walked me back to show me the part they were having issues with. He explained what issues they were having and why they couldn't detach the part. He then told me that they'll "only charge $220 for the labor instead of the full labor charge." I told him I would not pay for something they didn't do. I told him that they originally agreed to have this done Tuesday afternoon and now it is Thursday evening...and they didn't even complete everything they had committed to. After being very difficult and unprofessional, Garrett finally agreed to not charge me for the left axel seal replacement that they did not complete. I then waited until 6:45 in their lobby until the truck was put back together to take it back home. My two main issues were: 1. Lack of communication 2. Garrett trying to charge me for something they did not complete. This bothers me because in the quotes they have us sign there is language that says, "You agree to pay in full for the authorized services described above upon successful completion of all listed auto repairs." They obviously did not successfully complete the listed repair and as such should not charge me for it. It upsets me that they tried to charge me and if it weren't for me pushing back on them they would have. I will now be taking any future vehicle service to another company. I will suggest to my friends and family to do the same. read more

I went to them with a used car that I was planning on purchasing and had them do a pre-purchase inspection on it. They took it right in and got going and it only took like 30 minutes. They checked the car all around and gave me a lot of peace of mind before buying the car. They assured me that there weren't/hasn't had any check engine lights and that it was IM ready. They also caught one thing wrong with it (the front right axle was seeping) so I was able to bring that up to the dealership and they got it fixed for me before buying it. read more

I simply think it should be known that these guys trued to absolutely screw me! you all know the rumors of untrustworthy mechanics, well this place would be the prime example. I went to replace my thermostats in my Jeep and there are to in the housing that you have to take out. since there are two they want to charge double in removing the housing when it only would need to be removed once wich would cost $250.00 more then it should. I was going to write a positive review on their work until now. When the employees were conducting their multipoint inspection, they made a mess of my glove compartment. Papers and my owners manual were crammed back into the compartment, other papers that were in the compartment were scattered (including my registration and insurance information) on the passenger side and under the passenger seat. The steering wheel and shifter had mechanics grease on it. I went back in to make a small complaint about it, but when I mentioned it the lack of a sincere apology and at least a verbal commitment to do better was never mentioned. I told them that I would be posting a negative review and was told "you have to do what you have to do". While they may do good work, the response to a reported problem was poor at best. Maybe they were just having a bad day, but the small things do make the difference. read more
