update to my review last week. They did submit a claim along with pictures of the damage. Today they said they can't attribute discount to the damage and offered to give me $300? I am so disappointed in discount. I have bought three sets of tires here in the last year alone total at least $4000. I sat and watched a younger employee struggle to put the jack under my car and relay this. It is obvious that the damage was done from them, but they just don't want to admit it. Brought my Polaris rzr in to discount tire American fork to get a tire plugged and they didn't do the tire I brought it in for, they then did the right tire I brought it in for after telling them again in 3 minutes and it leaked out when I got home, I go back with a low tire to ask them to fix it and they told me I have to wait an hour and a half for a plug that takes no longer than 5 minutes to do and it was there fault it's leaking so they should prioritize that! Then I called Lindon discount tire and they took care of me on the spot with bays full of cars and made sure I was taken care of! Staff at this location were friendly and responsive, but they refused to replace my tire on warranty even though it was sitting right at the 4/32" mark on their meter. Their meter showed just a teeny tiny bit over that mark on one tire, well under the mark on the other. I brought my own meter and it showed clearly less than 4/32" on the tire they were refusing to replace, but they refused to accept that reading or give the benefit of the doubt even though their own meter basically showed the required tread depth. I've come here multiple times, but unfortunately I think I'm done, at least at the American Fork location. I had my 2nd really poor experience here today as they tried to mark up the price of lug nuts by $147. Today I came in to get 2 new tires. I knew my lug nuts were worn, so as I was waiting, I looked up prices on Amazon. As I was looking it up, ($33 on Amazon) the guy helping me came and recommended getting all new ones for $180 but since I was getting tires they'd be willing to drop it to $100. I laughed and told him I was currently looking on Amazon and found them for $33. He then told me they'd price match, which is great. But what a dishonest attempt to mark up lug nuts by $147!!! It went from $180, to $100, to $33?!?! That seems like a crazy amount of "wiggle room" they have on the cost of LUG NUTS. This is the same place that 2 years ago recommended that I changed all 4 tires when I came in for a flat repair. Then when I asked to see their tire tread measuring tool it showed that 2 of my tires still in the green zone. Seems silly to tell someone with good tread to replace perfectly good tires. I may go to other Discount Tires, but because of their dishonestly I will not allow me or my family to ever go back to the American Fork location. read more

I wanted to like them..... a couple tires were at a "3" worn which is still good btw..... and they refuse to rotate them because of it. So they mounted two new tires on my passenger side..... I'll rotate them myself. I would have walked out but I needed the new ones today. Also sitting here I just heard two other customers that they refuse to rotate their tires. Their customer service is excellent no matter where you are at! top 6 reasons i love discount tire (because top 5 is not enough!) 1) good quality tires, they last and are reasonably priced 2) you get a flat they fix it for FREE if its repairable 3) they have a air check lane, so you can drive in, get checked and filled as part of the service, AKA FREE! 4) Warranty, you get a ruptured tire and bought the warranty? I love Discount Tire. I'm very happy and relieved that they are here in Utah as I just moved from out of state. I feel like every single location treats and regards me as a family member would. I feel like I can trust them to do a very good job and to communicate effectively with me every time I call or come in. I called yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to find that they were able to take my car in right away for a tire rotation and rebalancing. The rotation is free, whether you have bought tires from them or not (how awesome is that??), and the rebalancing is only $40 normally. The very kind, helpful rep who I both spoke with on the phone and who I worked with in person gave me a $10 discount since I have only had one of my tires replaced by them in the past (warped/bloated due to hitting a curb). I didn't even have to ask! I was in and out of there within 20 minutes. No complaints whatsoever. Excellent service every time! read more

I purchased new tires from the Draper location. Since having the new tires put on my car shakes anytime I brake. I came to the AF location to have it looked at because I normally come to this location. I was told it would be done in 30-45 mins because there were only 2 cars ahead of me and they would make mine a priority since I was having to come back for an issue. I sat for an hour watching 5-6 cars being pulled in and pulled out and my car wasn't even touched. After an hour I went up to the counter to ask when they were going to take care of my car. The guy at the counter went to check and came back saying they got confused, but would take care of mine right away. So had I not said anything I probably would have waited a lot longer. They went to try to replace my spare tire on the underside of a truck that I just bought and it gave them a lot of grief and headache but they went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that the spare that I have on my truck now will suffice if I ever need to use it. had been putting off a leak on one of my tires, called in the same day and was told they were booked for appointments all day, but i could come in as a walk in. to my surprise it only took them less than 10 minutes to start working on my tires ! and it ended up being free :0 ! super friendly/patient staff, told me everything going on with my tires before they even started working on them, even pulled my car up front for me. can't recommend enough, never in my life have i had such good service for something 100% free :D ! will definitely come back when it's time for new tires. p.s. as a trans woman, i don't expect to feel welcome in places like american fork, but none of the employees stared or anything ! queer friendly location from what i can tell. :3 read more

They seemed super busy when I went in on a Saturday morning, but I told them I had a leak in my tire (which I didn't buy from them) and asked them to find and fix it. They were done within the hour and when I asked how much it cost me, they just said to have a good day. Every time I've need something and go to them, I always feel like it's a fair AND safe deal. I had a screw in my tire and call Discount Tire. The were closed from noon to three for Good Friday, but told me I could come in any time after. I got there at three and there were some people ahead of me so I was told it would be an hour to fix. After I gave them my information I got a text on my phone to follow the progress of the repair. I was right at an hour when I was finished, they gave me my keys and told me I was good to go. No charge for the fix. This is a fantastic place and it is easy to see why they are so busy. These guys have been my go to for tires for several years now. Prices are competitive, be sure to add approx $21 per tire for mounting and balancing. They do offer a warranty for an additional fee but I don't recall the detail on that. You can shop online from a wide selection of tires and have them delivered to the store while scheduling a time to have them installed. If your more of a spur of the moment type they usually have the tire you need and will fit you in on a first come, first serve basis. With my appointment tonight I was in and out in about 45 minutes. If you do end up waiting there are a lot of places within walking distance to Yelp about. Tires come with free rotations and pressure checks for the life of the tire. Purchasing tires isn't my least favorite thing but it is in the running. These guys make it not so painful. read more

NOTE - I recently purchased a truck and the tire in question came with the truck and I didn't buy it from Discount (although I have used DT for more than 20 years for all my cars). I got to the store about 7:45, 15 minutes before they opened and one of their employees, Billy, came out and said he could start on my tire then - before they opened. Still, they are worth the wait if you have to. Their work is good, their pricing is good, the selection is good (although you may possibly have to order certain brands or sizes and wait a couple of days). I have always liked Discount Tire, I came here a few months ago when I had a leaky tire. I went to two other places, one couldn't find the leak the other "fixed" it but it was still leaking. Came here and they found that they had tried to fix it using an ATV plug, what that really means I'm not sure but they fixed it for free. Forward to today, I went one place that will remain nameless, and they thought they could squeeze another size on there but it was too tall. Call these guys in a panic and they told me as long as I was here within the next 30 minutes they could take care of me today. Arrived with 15 minutes to spare and got a great deal on my tires with excellent customer service. You'd think I'd have learn by now that I should only come here for any tire issues. I'll make a long story short...MY tires lasted LESS THAN HALF of the 45,000 miles they were warranted for. This comes as no surprise as it has happened to me at least the past 3 times I've got tires from Discount Tire. The only difference was that I tried a different brand this time. This mew set lasted a little over 18,000 miles and had a warranty of 45,000 miles. Pretty weak. In the past I was given all credit due for the reamiander of the warranty, so it wasn't a big deal. This time however, They gave me a measly credit of about $20 per tire. On a $160 tire, I expected compensation equal to the wear of the tire...just like in the past. Since the tires only lasted about 40% of what they were supposed to, I expected a 60% credit, which should have been around $95 per tire. Instead I only got about 10% credit. They tried to explain it away with some BS, but couldn't. Unfortunately, I needed the new tires then and there, so I didn't have much choice, but to buy them at nearly full price...which maybe they realized that I didn't have a choice and that's why they screwed me over on the warranty. Very unhappy about this last experience. The service guy I worked with was GREAT and was limited in what he could do, but I expected more from Discount Tire. Note that this review is for my most recent experience only. All my other dealings here have been decent. read more
