These guys at Taysom Tire are the best. Recently, while traveling throught Utah something broke on our engine that created a massive oil leak. Upon a friend's recommendation we called Taysom and spoke to Jared, he said they could take a look at it right away. We got it towed into their shop, and within an hour, Lloyd texted us back to tell us what the problem was and what it would take to repair it.  He stated he was aware of our need to get back on the road right away and said he would do everything he could to get it repaired as quickly as possible. A couple of hours later he texted saying an additional part was needed and went out of his way to make sure it was there first thing the next morning and ready for installation. Buyer Beware. This is my first and last time using Taysom Tire. I was referred to Taysom Tire, so I thought they must be a reputable company. I took my vehicle for a diagnosis. They evaluated the vehicle for an hour at a cost of $95 and asked for permission to continue to evaluate for an additional hour (another $95). Before giving permission I asked what they suspected as the problem. They told me they thought it was a bad computer. I then asked what it would be to replace the computer? I was quoted around $1100. I gave permission to continue to diagnose. They called back later that evening and told me it was a bad computer, BUT they were way off on the estimate to repair it. It would be almost $1900. They claimed the cost of the part alone was $1200. Due to the sticker shock, I made some more calls. I called the dealer and found that the part from the dealer was $787 and the dealer could install it for $240. As soon as I heard that I lost all trust in Taysom Tire. They are price gouging. I attempted to call Taysom Tire several times to ask them what they would do about it but got a "call not able to go through" message (I think they must only have one telephone line). I ended up walking in to have a conversation with them. I told time their price was almost double the dealers. The response was to hand me back my keys and charge me $200 for the diagnosis. I was very surprised. I've found most mechanic shops attempt to charge you as little as possible if they can't fix your problem, especially if they miss quoted the price. Not Taysom Tire. They took their $200 and sent me on my way without any response as to an apology for the incorrect quote or an offer to reduce the diagnosis expense. I will not ever use Taysom Tire again. I sincerely doubt they spent two hours diagnosing my vehicle. I called the company that referred me to Taysom Tire and recommended they not refer anyone to Taysom in the future. I have only had good experiences here at Taysom Tire. I've taken all three of my vehicles here, including my old 1980s motorhome, and have never been disappointed with the service I've received. They are honest and upfront about what work needs to be done versus what you can wait to fix. They often will do work above and beyond at no extra cost. I recommend these guys to everyone. They are excellent mechanics. They'll let me call and ask advice on how my vehicle is behaving and give me suggestions on what to do and what to watch out for. They are good guys and probably the most trustworthy mechanics you will find. read more

They do a great job and don't jerk you around. Usually because I don't have a ring and I am a woman mechanics try to lie to me. I thought I needed to replace a tire and Jared told me I had a nail in and they patched it for me. Thank you for being honest and friendly. I go here for my maintenance needs. I had a weld break on the exhaust of my 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX Sedan and start dragging. It was about 4 pm on a Friday. I called around and went to a couple shops to get some quotes to repair it. Some of the places were just outrageous!! I called Taysom around 4:45pm (they close at 6pm I believe) and they didn't think they'd be able to squeeze me in but somehow they made it happen. They were able to get my car in quickly, for a reasonable price, and with good work! I've had the repair done for about a month as of 7/2017 and i haven't had any problems. I brought my Mustang in to get a better sounding exhaust, and these guys totally failed. They did have a decent glass pak, but they NARROWED my exhaust to make it fit, which is totally wrong. They also only attached one of the two muffler hangers, which caused me problems later. Stay away! read more

We just took our car in for the first time here because it wouldn't start without a jump. 2 days and $350 later, and our car won't start at all! We called to give them a chance to fix their mistake, but they were just rude and condescending, and said it would cost another 400 bucks! We will never come here again. read more

A few months ago I purchased used tires at Taysom Tire Company in Orem. I returned a few weeks ago with a flat tire for the free puncture repair. I called ahead to confirm the service was free and was assured it was. After the service was completed the manager gave me a bill. When I explained that I had purchased the tires from Taysom and had been assured I would not be charged. Shockingly the manager stomped his foot and yelled "dang it!" before regaining composure and crumpling up the bill. I don't know why he was so disappointed a returning customer was claiming a courtesy service. I have the feeling the management at Taysom Tire Company do not have customer's best interest in mind. I have had a lot of issues come up with my car this year from tires to repairs and they have always been fair and reasonable. They do a great job and are fair priced. My husband took his truck here to get an alignment. There ended up being problems with the front end of his truck. They said that both lower ball joints were bad and that one upper was bad, as well as something being wrong with 2 tire rods. We were both listening on the phone as he quoted price which was $869 and some cents. I put $870 in my husbands account to pay for it. He got there and the guy said it was $967 and we must have "misheard" what he said. He said he quoted $916 and then he installed another $40 part without our approval.
