Eye Opener - Two eggs scrambled, home fries, bacon and pancakes
    Lynda H.

Some friends met here for breakfast on a Wednesday morning. I had never been here and didn't realize they even served breakfast. As soon as we came in, they showed us to our table and were quick to bring our coffee and water. The place was not very busy, but it was 8:30 on a weekday. It is a nice and spacious restaurant. The breakfast menu is large. I ordered the Eye Opener which included two eggs (your choice of how you wanted them cooked) with choice of ham, bacon or sausage. Also included are choices of hash browns, home fries or fruit, and choice of toast or pancakes. I decided on scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries and pancakes. Our food arrived fast and looked quite appealing. Everything was delicious. The eggs were done perfectly as was the bacon and the home fries. The pancakes (two) were large and soft and fluffy and again so tasty. The server came over several times to check to refill our coffees and waters. We enjoyed our breakfast in this clean and bright environment. The only negative was the cost. With tax and tip my breakfast came to $25. However, that being said it was still a great breakfast and wonderful staff.

This was a treat! Just was looking for some good breakfast places in Evansville and this popped up. And to be honest there's not a lot of other places in the city to choose from besides the most generic chains out there. Really disappointing that there's not more in the city. But this place fills in that gap! You could tell it probably used to be a different place but they are using it to its full potential. You order at the counter and then find yourself a table. Servers come around and take your drink order and bring that to you. Then they bring you your food and that's that! The ambiance is just okay, nothing too special. The owners are definitely putting some good work into their food here. My omelette was amazing. Partner had the waffles with the fruit over it. Everything just tasted very delicious! Very good for Evansville and definitely has a lot going for it. They are touting themselves as a bit of a Chicago eatery but I think breakfast is a little bit more generalized in this country. But it was spot on! Delicious! Would come back in a heartbeat.

This place came highly recommended to us as we were traveling through Evansville and now I'm sad we don't live closer because it's a new favorite. Solid comfort food, friendly service, and a very home-y vibe. I can't wait to visit again!

Keep driving people, nothing here to see. Just the best food in Evansville. Don't stop in, I'm not a fan of waiting in lines, so just stay away!!! Seriously, it is just unreal. We had a cheeseburger, chicken parmigiana, fish poboy, meat loaf and a mountain of strawberries on the strawberry pecan salad... These fine people deserve the business folks, come in and be amazed!!

Nice Chicago inspired restaurant. Only place to get a good beef sandwich in Evansville. Good breakfast spot also. Huge portions.

Good gyros. Skimpy sides. Server was an awkward kid, not the best. Good value and food good over all. This Chicagoan approves.
