I've had a great experience with Cleanly. I moved to Manhattan in August and started living without a washer and dryer for the first time. I didn't want to spend hours in a laundromat. I could save money by dropping off and picking up my clothes from my local laundromat (they charge .99 a pound and Cleanly charges $1.50), but I enjoy the convenience of my laundry being picked up and dropped off at my door. They have always been within the one hour window when picking up and dropping off. I do wish the detergent they used was more strongly scented because I like for my laundry to have a strong, fresh smell, but I'm sure many people who are sensitive to scents like it how it is. My hang dry clothes always come back wet, but that doesn't bother me. I will continue using them to do all my laundry. read more

I use Cleanly all the time, and have never had any issues. Flexible delivery times, polite employees, and pretty consistent special offers and deals. read more

Cleanly makes laundry painless, so happy I started using their service. The app is easy to use, they've always picked up and dropped off my orders on time, and everything comes back clean and nicely folded. I couldn't be happier! read more

The laundry itself is great. I have never had issues with damaged or missing items. everything is always perfect. I've used the service 6 times now. Only 2 out of the 6 times had a smooth delivery/pick up process. However, The overwhelming majority Of the time, I have had delays with pick up or delivery, last minute changes to delivery times, getting a text saying laundry is on the way to later be told it will be delayed, delivery being delayed a whole day, or delivery or pick up outside of the selected time frame, etc. i understand things happen and plans change, but I am paying a lot for a service and this is not a one time occurrence. If I had a doorman, this would not be a problem. I don't have a doorman though. I have to be home and plan my entire day around laundry which wouldn't be an issue if they honored the delivery time window. I cannot plan my entire day around laundry because it is so unreliable... that is absurd. Most of the time, I would get a notification saying it would be delayed. Inconvenient, but at least they communicated with me. Today, there was no communication and I missed out on plans and appointments because I had to wait for them to deliver. I asked at 10a (delivery window was 9-1030a) If delivery would be on time because I had to leave at 1030 for an appointment. They said they would check. 45 min later, I had not heard an update and it is now past my delivery window. Since they never followed up, I had to ask again when they would deliver because I can't wait around all day for laundry. They said 11am (which would be 30 min past the end of the delivery window) then they quickly responded again and said they needed to check with the driver. I have to move on with my day so I get in the shower. The delivery driver calls while I'm in the shower so I quickly jump out at 11a. I explained I would need a few minutes to get downstairs. It's not exactly easy to quickly go from the middle of a shower on the 5th floor to the front of the building.. The driver said "I mean, you have a delivery today!" And was irritated I was not immediately available 30 min past the end delivery window when he was there. This is one example of the frustrations. If you have a doorman or can wait around all day with no plans, go for it. It would be a great service then. I want to use them because the laundry is always great, fresh, and neat. But it's expensive. I would gladly pay for the convenience, but it is not convenient. So it is no longer worth it. 5 stars for laundry, 1 star for reliability. read more

Used to be really good - used them for two years and then the last six months service has gone down the drain. Pickups and drop offs are late or rescheduled last minute. Had dry cleaning delivery scheduled and they cancelled the day before. It was an outfit for an event so that ruined my whole day. They lost items and only reimburse you pennies. Gave me the wrong laundry back and are "looking into" where mine is. Must have changed their system and it's just not working. Don't recommend. flycleaners is also a bunch of criminals don't use them either. read more

I personally have had fine service with cleanly. They're on time, they've brought back every piece of clothing we've sent in. They did use some sort of red detergent on one load of light clothes that left stains and when I reached out all they could do was credit us not fix the item. We'll keep using them for the convenience. read more

Very convenient laundry service, my clothes always smell so good when they come back and I love how they put items like socks and towels in separate bags. Not super expensive either considering I have my laundry done every week without having to leave my apartment. read more

Cleanly is efficient and easy to use and the benefit of using their app instead of traditional dry cleaning is the flexibility and customer service. Knowing exactly when my dry cleaning is coming and being notified when it's delivered makes it easy to use. Recently I sent a dress that was covered in stains that were a couple years old. When the ones on the back weren't taken out fully cleanly picked it up again the next day and redid it for free. Their customer service responded promptly and they were very nice about the whole thing. 100% would recommend. read more

People don't write reviews unless the service was extremely good or extremely bad. This is the first time I had to write a review because the service was BAD. DO NOT use this company. They literally take your dirty clothes and place it on a hanger and put it in a bag to give the appearance of it being dry cleaned. The first time I used them I had brought a bunch of clothes to be dry cleaned and the service seemed good. But who can tell right whether clothes has actually been cleaned when the clothes are brand new and doesn't have body odor on it. But this second time using them the clothes I got back straight up had the odor still on it. As strong as when I gave it in to be cleaned! This must mean they are just taking the clothes and placing them on hangers and returning them back to customers! Do yourself a favor and go to your local and RELIABLE cleaner. This company is a scam. read more

Great service! I work 7 days/week and don't want to spend my little amount of free time doing laundry. They provide a quality service, have a nice staff and do a great job. The pick up/drop off service is very convenient. read more

I have been a cleanly reserve member for the past 3 years, and I have had nothing but bad experiences. Not only have I had brand new clothes ruined/stained when returned, but they refuse to replace the full cost of the item, even when I share a link of the full cost of the item with receipts of the date of purchase. Oftentimes, my laundry is returned smelly due to being kept wrapped in plastic for too long after cleaning. Pickup/delivery times are often delayed and/or cancelled, which is extremely inconvenient when trying to do laundry before trips, and as a last straw, I just paid $15 to have a dress with bird poop on it dry cleaned, which was returned with bird poop still all over the front of the dress. I will be cancelling my membership as soon as I can find an acceptable section option. read more

Everything it's cracked up to be - saves me a ton of time. Recently had some issues with my order and the customer service part of the app was so easy to use and very helpful. My issues were taken seriously and remedied. Would recommend to anyone short of time on their hands. read more

I have used cleanly for the past 2 1/2 years and love their service. They pick up in the laundry int he morning, deliver it the same day at night and my laundry is always perfectly folded, clean, and smelling good. full disclosure once they delivered the wrong bag but I emailed them right sway and they sent me a picture of my laundry to make sure it was mine and picked up and made the switch for the right laundry the same day and gave me a credit for that laundry. although they did mess up once they made every effort to make good for the laundry and refunded me that particular load. other than that I have never had a problem; but it seems when you do have a problem they provide really good customer service. Although, like I said it only happened once in 2 1/2 years and I will keep on using them for years to come they are fantastic and super convenient. read more

Cleanly is a great service. Pick up and delivery is always on time. Yesterday, I was caught up at work so I made it home at 8:37, 7 minutes after my drop-off time slot began (8:30), The delivery guy waited for me outside my place and brought my laundry up 2 flights of stairs! Excellent service!! read more

Quick turnaround, quality service, intuitive app (love that you can track the concierge), and it's less expensive than Fly Cleaners!

Overall, I've had a great experience with cleanly. My laundry is always clean, on time, and the delivery people are always the nicest! Unfortunately, I've lost several items of clothing (including my absolute FAVORITE work shirt) and even inherited a couple unwanted items (Sorry to whoever lost the black, sparkle gap shirt!). Makes me wonder who is actually doing the laundry and whether they pocket nice items or double load the laundry... Lauren read more

Really surprised by some of the negative comments. I've been using Cleanly for a few years now and would recommend it to anyone (in fact I recommend it to everyone!) It saves me so much time, energy, and effort. Wash and Fold can be unreliable, but I've never had an issue with Cleanly. My clothes are picked up and dropped off exactly on time, and their folding is a hell of a lot better than mine ever was. For a busy young professional, it is definitely a luxury to be able to outsource your laundry, but I would never want to go back to doing it myself and wasting hours in front of a washing machine. 100% worth it. read more

Seriously THE WORST. This app/service deserves a special place in the devil's basement. I rarely write reviews but when I do, it's well deserved. Most of the terrible things are summed up in other reviews but I'll give a brief summary of my experiences: 1: They have never once been on time for a pick-up, drop off. I understand NYC has traffic, but you have an HOUR window, I have had drivers 3+ hours late. They allow you to reschedule but only in their preselected time slots which are normally days later; they also don't give you the option to cancel. The sad part is, if you start a new order there are literally 10+ time slots to choose from; so they will take on new customers but not take care of the orders they already have. 2: Customer service is a JOKE. I have waited weeks for responses. 90% of the time if/when they respond they don't have a clue what they are talking about or don't resolve your issue. I haven't tried calling but I've heard this is a special kind of experience. 3: The final straw, when they ruined/lost four brand new shirts from Bloomingdales. Originally they were returned to me with red stains all over them. I allowed them to take the shirts back to try and remove the stains. Over a month later and many email communications, I was informed that they could not locate my shirts and they were refunding my money based on the weight. They gave me about $40 for shirts that cost me over $130. I even had pictures of each shirt (from when they were returned with stains) along with purchase receipts. Then to add insult, they offered me laundry credit. NO WAY will I ever use your service again, even if it's free. Do yourself a favor and skip this service, I GUARANTEE you will be dissapointed. read more

Prices are OK, and they haven't lost any of my items after using them for about a year, however: 1. They'll cancel or reschedule your order at their whim while you're at home waiting for your order to be picked up or delivered. Sometimes the new pickup or delivery will be days later. I've had all of my bedding and a significant number of clothes out for a cleaning and then been told that I would not be getting them back until 24-36 hours after I was scheduled to receive them. You don't get any sort of account credit for this, which is the least they could do. 2. Customer service is basically non-existent. They have a phone number which seems to always have an infinite wait time. They don't respond to customer support emails. 3. For some reason their service has gotten worse this year: clothes are no longer folded properly, items are thrown together randomly instead of things like socks being kept together, and the benefits for the Cleanly Reserve membership were significantly reduced. read more

I bought a new shirt that I wore once! I got it back stained and damaged! Blue stains on my white shirt and has holes??

They started out so strong. But now I'm so disappointed with their pick up and delivery. Will drop them if I can find a solution near me.

Horrible. My clothes came back mixed in with someone else's clothes, and I was charged $60 for 40 lbs when I knew I hadn't given them 40 lbs worth of laundry. It was 40 lbs because they charged me for mine and someone else's order and delivered someone else's clothes to me. Also, their customer service is terrible. read more

Cleanly is great! Affordable, thorough, punctual, communicative, easy to use. I haven't had one bad experience yet. The last time I used cleanly it was great - they folded and wrapped up my socks in cardboard paper. That was pretty killer - like getting a Christmas present that's just your own socks and somehow it's still exciting + surprising. Anyway, yeah - I'd give them a whirl - it's a great time saver and if done 2 - 3 times a month, I think it could even out as opposed to going to the laundry mat. read more

Great service, friendly valets, and on-time deliveries. The only reason I'm not rating it 5 stars is because it is pretty costly. I usually only do my laundry once every 4-6 weeks as a result since it can easily cost between $20-$30. The convenience can't be beat though. read more

After a few horrible experiences with FlyCleaners (losing clothes, missing delivery times, etc.) I was weary of signing up for another app based cleaners...Well am I glad I made the switch a year ago! I have used the app a few times, the most issues i had was them being a little late delivering my clothes. However, this week they lost my order. Not only is it extremely difficult to contact anyone from customer service to get an update or information but they also informed that after 5 days they found my clothes, and told me that they will deliver them to me before 10 PM. At 11PM I am not able contact anyone and my order is nowhere to be found. This is unacceptable, if you are making late deliveries make sure a customer service rep is present and make sure that the call back service is actually working. I have called multiple times during the week (during regular business hours) and only once did i get a call back that got disconnected and no one called me back. I am sorry but this is very disappointing and frustrating. read more

Late or no show 50% of the time. Customer service is virtually non-existent -- you will be put on hold and no one will answer. App screws up delivery and drop off dates/times. Delivery people are rude and sometimes refuse to come up and make you come down. They lose items regularly and damage your items as well. Their reimbursement policy for this is garbage. They change their policies up on you without notice. This service is absolutely THE WORST and completely incompetent. For the good money you pay, this service is supposed to be convenient and make your life easier and instead you're just paying for more stress. AVOID! read more

I've been using cleanly for almost 2 years now and have had nothing but solid service. I've tried them all and cleanly is the most consistent and reliable. I probably do laundry twice a month and they make it easy and a one stop shop. Highly recommend. read more

I had a terrible experience with Cleanly. They rescheduled my drop off two times and my comforter came back smelling like it hadn't been dried properly. I asked for a refund, and they refused. I had to drop it off at my local dry cleaner instead. read more

Cleanly used to be awesome as recently as 1 year ago, but the quality has really deteriorated. They don't pick up at the scheduled times due to valet shortage, and when they reschedule you don't get notified in a timely way. Also, no discount for the inconvenience unless you ask. They also disregarded my hang dry twice, despite clear labeling. The worst part is no one responds to your emails or anything - horrible customer service. I had to contact my bank to refund an entire order they messed up to get any sort of compensation. It's sad how awful cleanly is considering how great they were when they started! I remember getting chocolate brownies when I used their service in the beginning! (4+ years ago) read more

Quick and easy - great for when the piles of laundry start to get overwhelming. Quick turnover and prices comparable to other services.

I thought I would really like and come to value this service after my first successful use. They arrived on time and dropped off clean clothes on time. However, that was the only successful interaction. I used them again and they dropped off the entirely wrong pack of clothes. Someone else's stuff completely. Their customer service is horrible. Never answer the phone at all. Nor do they call you back. They respond to emails hours/ days later. It is so frustrating to not know where your clothes are and not have anyone to speak to about it. This last time I used them, they just simply never came to pick up my clothes. Kept getting texts that they would be arriving late. Never using them again and deleting the app ASAP. read more

UPDATE: September 30 2018 - Yesterday I got THE FIRST response from customer service. It took over 15 emails and 20 phone messages left ( their voice mail says you will get a call back in two hours - this took almost 6 weeks). I finally after 6 weeks got them to credit me back for the charge for cleaning my laundry that I NEVER GOT BACK. They admit to delivering it to the wrong building, but say that the doorman of that building has told them I PICKED IT UP!! I was not even told until last week what building they delivered it to!! SInce they are saying I picked it up ( which I did not) , they are refusing to reimburse me for anything. I have filled out the small claims court forms and will be there on Monday. If anyone wants to join me on a group claim I am happy to include you. This is without doubt the worst company and the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Here are a few things to do ( for those who agree with me): 1. be sure to file a complaint with the better business bureau. (https://www.bbb.org/consumer-complaints/file-a-complaint/get-started) 2. The President of the company is Tom Harari -- his twitter handle is @tomharari Use it to make comments on Twitter. Write him a letter. 3. Look on LinkedIn for people who work at Cleanly and send them messages about your issue. Barrage them with this info. 4. Tweet about your experience. Send a direct message on twitter to or about Cleanly ( @cleanly) 5. Continue to update your experiences on Yelp 6. Comment of Facebook ( although I think they remove all the negative comments). Good comments on this company are the exception, not the rule. I would give them zero starts but they will not let you post a comment without at least one. Please BEWARE when using this company. read more

Cleanly turned all of my white clothes pink. I don't know how this is even possible given I have no pink or red clothes in my order and colors and whites are supposed to be separated. They tried to bleach them and somehow they look even worse now. Worst part of this experience? The WORST customer service I have ever experience. I email them almost daily to call me to help solve this problem (they have no phone number that I can just call). They've set up several times to call me and each time the call request "didn't go through." They take several days to reply to emails and I am beyond frustrated just trying to get my clothes fixed or compensated. Absolutely terrible experience all around and I haven't even mentioned that their drop offs and pick ups are never within the hour. read more
