DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY CLEANLY/BYNEXT! Entire bag of clothes stolen and never returned been arguing with the worst customer service ever on some type of refund. Getting low balled on reimbursement and still haven't received a dime 3 months later. If you want your clothes stolen and never to get any money back then feel free to use their service otherwise STAY AWAY. There are plenty of other competitors who do a better job, have a better reimbursement policy, and better customer service if something should happen! read more

I used 4 laundry apps in nyc and Cleanly looks the best in the App Store and in reality is the worst laundry I've ever used in my life I was using cleanly app regularly for laundry and work clothes dry cleaning - they've had lots of little delivery issues and gave me dirty clothes back, other people's clothes back and now....for the 2nd time they lost my clothes - but this time a 50+ lbs bag of my clothes and it's been over two weeks of no customer service response - they will lose all your clothing and not call you back like a bad ex .... do not use if you prefer to get your clothes cleaned and returned go somewhere else read more

Please listen to all the poor reviews on this service. I assumed that it was trustworthy due to the app and infrastructure, but unfortunately that is not the case. I tried to be understanding given the pandemic and honestly was desperate to find a laundry facility given all of the usual options I use and trust in my neighborhood have closes due to COVID-19 and I don't have laundry in my building. My delivery window was rescheduled multiple times, then on the latest, it was not reschedule or updated yet I waited at home hours past the delivery due date only to receive no laundry, no communication, and no commitment. This is a very poor service done in a very awful way. Look for a local place in the neighborhood or consider even doing your own laundry at a laundry mat instead of using this service. Sounds a bit dire but risk it in lieu of having everything lost. read more

The app ByNext /Cleanly is a terrible company and a scam. Their only job is to take your clothes, clean them, and deliver but it seems like they fail consistently at this basic task. They lost my clothes. The customer service is absolutely abysmal, unresponsive and extremely rude. I have since posted about this to my neighborhood groups and numerous people, including friends, have told me about the mishaps they've had with them such as lost clothes, wrong bags being delivered and expensive items that were supposed to be delivered being lost entirely. They lost an entire bag of my family's clothes. I wish I had read the yelp reviews as well as the vice article about how they lose people's clothes before using this horrendous company I've contacted media outlets and have submitted a complaint with the BBB. They should not be doing business. Better wash my clothes by hand than trust this fraudulent business with my stuff. Stay far, far, far away. read more

Do not use! I never use laundry services and on my first pick up, half of my laundry wasn't returned to me. Customer service won't reply via email and they don't have a phone number you can call to speak to a customer service agent. Do not recommend and do not let them take your laundry. read more

Avoid this service at all costs. If I could give them 0 stars I would. The only thing they're reliable for is a letdown. Cleanly is highly irresponsible to offer anything more than wash and fold services. If you're going to risk it, avoid their dry cleaning and hang dry. There's a very low chance you'll get your stuff back. The few times I did get my stuff back, my clothing was rust stained, musty smelling and stapled through. They've lost hundreds of dollars of my clothing and after two months of working with their customer service (and following up daily), Cleanly would only reimburse me for the items I had receipts for... which is ridiculous since it took them over two months to admit they lost the items, this after lying about the delays. They tried to say there was a weather problem, that my clothes needed "extra time" and finally that the drivers were all busy. Between the time spent waiting for false deliveries and contacting customer service, I'm out thousands of dollars. They're liars with a pretty app -- they literally lost 14 items and pretended it was due to snow storm. Do not waste your time or money. read more

This company is an absolute nightmare. Nearly absent customer service to help me locate my missing laundry. They picked it up Tuesday and didn't drop it off this morning as they were supposed to. I went into the app to check the status and instead of a status/tracking page it automatically sent me to a rescheduling screen. I tried clicking out and got an email confirming I had rescheduled. I instantly emailed them and texted the SMS number saying I didn't make this change - after begging for help all day someone finally asked me to send a description/pictures of my laundry as they have LOST it. That's like all my clothing. Bedding. Towels. This is disgusting and unacceptable. The pandemic explains delays but to completely lose everyone's laundry? This company should be shut down. read more

This is the absolute WORST laundry service. I should have learned the first time after they lost two of my sweaters. But no. I am finally canceling my membership because they lost AN ENTIRE BAG OF MY LAUNDRY. I would never recommend this service to anyone let alone my worst enemy. I am only giving them 1 star for their customer service lady Tara because she really was so kind. However their lack of compassion for losing FULL bags of laundry is unacceptable given that their only job is to clean the clothes and safely return them. Anyone have suggestions for reliable laundry services in NYC??? read more

Generally a really good service! Wash/fold and dry clean services are great. Three stars are for late deliveries/pick ups. Have had ~5 instances in the past 2 months where my pick up or drop off were 30-90 minutes, causing frustration and and me needing to adjust my plans. Have also had pick up arrive early and get mad at me when I wasn't available to give them my laundry early. Will continue to use though, but think some Ops can be improved! read more

First off, I just want to say I'm not a picky person. I think the laundering they do is great (when you get your clothes back), the folding is crisp, and the laundry bags they give out are hands-down the best laundry bags ever! I love the idea of on-demand laundry, and they had a good run for a bit, but I think they grew too big too fast and for the last 8 months they've had a 100% screw-up rate with my wife and I. We gave them several tries, and we stuck with it because it was so convenient in theory, but in the end the mistakes were too much of a headache to deal with. Over the last 8 months, at least one of the below happened EVERY time - they give us someone else's clothes and we need to call them back and schedule another pickup/delivery - they left something of ours on the delivery truck and forgot to bring it up with the rest of the stuff and we need to schedule another delivery ( which can suck if you timed washing your bedsheets in the tiny window between guests. ) - they give our clothes to someone else and/or just straight up lose them and we'll never see them again. ( This happened a few times so my wife and I got into the habit of taking photos of what we send off so we can keep track of if it comes back) My wife and I aren't fancy people, but the one time we both get some fancy shirts ( I know it's crazy for us to collectively drop $200 on two items of clothing, but sometimes it's worth it and of course they soon became our favorite shirts, because, duhhh) and we sent them off for a clean and hang dry, they both got lost. We showed them the photo proof of what we sent off to them, showed them the cost of the lost clothing from sites online where we bought it, but they could only cover up to $50. We wanted to cancel our subscription and get the rest of the year refunded, but they weren't into it. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. Which basically says to me, if you care about your clothes, or if you simply want some consistency, don't use Cleanly. Get to know your local laundromat. Be friends with them. Or get a washer/dryer. read more

We were charged a lot for our laundry. A snow day happened and they pushed back our delivery, which is fine. We were told it would be delivered the next day at the same time. Then we received a text saying our delivery would come 1.5 hours before the scheduled time, well we weren't home. So we had to reschedule and they want to charge an extra $5 for that. Umm, no that is ridiculous *you* changed the time. Finally get our stuff back. Minus half of our socks. Not going back. This service makes me long for my laundromat in Brooklyn. read more

I've been using Cleanly for over a year now. I used to really love the service. I was able to schedule a same day pick up and next day drop off. Over the past couple of months my deliveries keep getting rescheduled or the valet just doesn't show up to my apartment. I feel it's become unreliable, I had a pick up scheduled for this morning and a drop off scheduled for tomorrow evening as I'm going on vacation the next day. They just texted me to let me know my laundry will now be dropped off in 3 days causing me to just go with another company. They haven't lost any of my clothing like some of the other reviews but they did reimburse me for a dress that I had just bought that got ruined during dry cleaning. They also gave me someone else's clothes once (along with mine.) I feel like it's good to get out now before anything else bad happens (like losing my entire bag of laundry!) read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. They bleach my dress that I paid to have dry cleaned. They told me the colors ran so they couldn't dry clean it....how did the "colors run" if you didn't already clean it????? I am beyond upset and they have not gotten back to me yet. WORST SERVICE EVER. Do not trust them with your clothes. I never complain about these things but this is just ridiculous. read more

They automatically overcharge you $7 for a tip, YET they do not advise you of this on their website, in the invoice or before the translation. Both drivers showed up to pick up and drop off without masks, had horrible attitudes and no customer skills. The drop off driver could not explain to me when I would be charged or advised of the cost of my laundry. The customer service number has been disconnected, you have to email them. Oh and am I still waiting to get my money back, I refuse to tip anybody not wearing a mask. Why should I pay extra to be exposed to COVID? read more

I've used Cleanly for more than a year and had mostly good experiences. I've not had any issues with wash & fold and laundered shirts; no missing or damaged items during that time. The only hiccup was the wrong laundry bag being returned but customer service was quick to resolve the issue. App is pretty good but can be buggy on occasion. If there are issues, it is usually with pickup and delivery. Scheduling pick ups, in particular, can be difficult if you don't plan a few days ahead as many morning time slots seems to book up fast, especially towards the end of the week. They also recently reduced the number of pick up windows in the AM; previously you could pretty much select any hour between 630am to 10am. Now, you can only choose between 630am and 730am or 730am and 930am. 2 hours is a large chunk of time to wait without knowing when they might arrive. Deliveries are occasionally plagued with late drop offs but this seems less frequent recently. All in all the convenience has outweighed any of the issues. read more

I have three items for my previous request! 1. Hat -dry clean bag 2. White shirt (men's) suppose to be regular clean (I put it in the laundry bag) 3. Tank top (black) -dry clean bag My hat went missing .... u guys reply me back and said still looking ... I'm still waiting for my hat! The white shirt suppose to clean as regular shirt clean... in the end it went to dry clean... and it has stains still on the white shirt! (I put a note on my shirt) The tank top (black) it comes back with the SMELL?!!! (Really? ...) What's going on guys? I'm little pissed.... when the pick up lady came to pick up, I told her so many times and make sure she understands the instructions also the white shirt is to laundry not the dry clean and She told me if I put in the laundry bag then u guys will clean it as regular clean! She also put note with her and told me that when she arrives the clean station she will tell her boss about this to make sure.... I thought she was very responsible and I gave her 5- stars when she picked up my items! But in the end the whole result is bad! read more

I've been using Cleanly since 2017, which became ByNext recently. I'm not sure why ByNext has so many different Yelp pages but I left this review on one closest to my home and now leaving it here. As I mentioned, I've used this service for over 3 years - occasional delays, understandable. They used to have a customer service number you could call and speak to a human to have issues resolved. Nowadays, there's no option to call anyone; all you can do is text or use their "AI" helper in the app. I've had my laundry picked up well before or after the pick up window (meanwhile I would be charged if I weren't home at the exact time for delivery, but I guess that commitment only goes one way). My most recent order was inexplicably rescheduled 45 minutes before it was supposed to be delivered and 15 minutes after they told me it was on the way. So they had my clothes for 36 hours total, rather than the usual 24. To my surprise, my hang dry clothes came back soaking wet (which, dampness is expected and they warn you about) but if these clothes were ready when they claimed they were (12 hours earlier), why would they still be sopping wet on delivery. Customer service was less than helpful, only responding with form language that didn't directly address my concerns and then radio silence. It's unfortunate to have to leave a business I've been using for so long, but it's clear they do not care about their customers and have no interest in providing good service, and instead, have a great interest in overpricing their services and charging delivery and service fees for inconsistent (and sometimes nonexistent) delivery and service. read more

I'm just revamping my review. What I realized is this service is incredibly over priced. In the meantime I moved and discovered a laundromat in my area that will do the same exact thing for almost 60 cents less per pound. The app takes advantage of lazy people who don't feel like doing any research or speaking to anyone directly. You can even go to delivery.com and find laundromats in your area that will do laundry & dry cleaning pick up and drop off at a far more reasonable rate than this. read more

Cleanly lost an entire bag of my items for over two weeks. When I reached out to customer service immediately after my bag was not delivered, they were incredibly rude and dismissive, talking down to me via email and citing that it would take them upwards of 10 business days to report on my missing items. They did not offer to compensate me for any way for my laundry, which was $65. A couple weeks later, after receiving no communication from their customer service rep, I contacted again. Luckily, they THEN found my bag, but charged me an additional $38. This brought my total to over $100! I finally got a rep who heard my concerns (thank you Constance!) and assisted me, but the experience has put me off from using this service in the future. I recommend looking into other laundry options (particularly the local mom-and-pops), and avoiding using Cleanly! read more

Horrible company!!! They charge you and then never deliver your items!! I was charged ~$90.00 by this fraudulent company, and they never even brought back my clothes/dry cleaning. Completely unprofessional. Hire them at your own peril. I am in the process of disputing the charges on my credit card for the amount they charged me. If you want someone to basically STEAL your clothes/dry cleaning, and then BILL you for it, hire Cleanly. MOST UNPROFESSIONAL FRAUDULENT COMPANY I HAVE EVER DONE BUSINESS WITH!!! A BUNCH OF CROOKS. I plan to report Cleanly.com to the Better Business Bureau. Do yourself a favor--don't hire this fraudulent company. Save yourself the time, money & HEADACHE of dealing with these unprofessional crooks!! Once again, Cleanly basically STOLE my clothing/dry clean items & then CHARGED ME for STEALING my things!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY unless you want to PAY someone to STEAL your things. I plan to file a POLICE REPORT. That's right, I'm reporting this fraudulent sham of a company to the AUTHORITIES. They deserve to be CRIMINALLY PROSECUTED!! Meanwhile, please note that if you try to CONTACT THEM to address the issue, THEY DON'T HAVE A PHONE. So you CAN'T contact them to find out what happened to your things. A TOTAL SCAM!! It appears that I am not the only person whose clothes/expensive items Cleanly has STOLEN (see reviews below). Apparently this is a REGULAR OCCURRENCE WITH CLEANLY. They are PROFESSIONAL THIEVES!!! read more

Wow, let's start by saying that Cleanly has charged me $326.48 for an order that I placed on February 2nd that totaled $100.66. Today is February 12. In the last ten days, I've waited for missing items, had two different debit cards charged in the amount of $225.82, received 3 missing items while the 4th was never accounted for and is still missing, argued with customer service that my bill was paid, had them not believe me and CHARGE MY ACCOUNT AGAIN. I am livid and if this isn't resolved TOMORROW, I'm involving the police. Overcharged by $225.82!!!!! Seriously, HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN? I THOUGHT CLEANLY WAS A LAUNDRY SERVICE, NOT A CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE!!!! read more

Absolutely abysmal customer service. The pick-up process was smooth enough; however, my delivery was rescheduled twice. The first time it was rescheduled was explained due to "delay in processing"; yet the app showed the courier had picked up the clothes. The second time it was rescheduled, I was told that half of the items had not yet been returned to the main facility. I can't even imagine the state my clothes are going to be in once they arrive - but if the process I've already experienced tells me anything, I don' have much hope. Please, avoid this company at ALL COSTS. Not convenient, and their prices are exaggerated. Update: This morning, their customer help chat promised someone would call me between 3pm and 4pm to explain / assure me of status of my clothes. No one ever called during this time period, and no one is responding to chat though the app anymore. Again, AVOID THIS COMPANY. read more

Terrible "customer service" and terrible quality / punctuality. Last 2 orders have been a shambles: - First time I ordered my shirts to be returned 5 days before a European business trip and they never arrived. I sent over 100 emails begging for someone to call me but no-one ever did. I had to buy 5 new shirts. Got $5 credit and no one ever acknowledged the mistake. Infuriating. - Second time they were 2 days late (I am sympathetic with covid situation) but shirts were so creased and dirty I will need to get them washed and ironed again. No one called despite repeated requests. They don't care, systems are a joke and are a bunch of amature crooks trying to be Uber. And failing. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY. PS they raised their prices yesterday...gouging during a pandemic says everything you need to know about these people. Terrible company with a black heart and literally avoid listening / hide from the people who use their service. Scumbags. read more

Since using cleanly I have experienced: receiving underwear that isn't mine in my returned laundry bag, having dry cleaning returned with an ex stain so I had to send it back, $5 for anytime the concierge can't get into the building. But yet Cleanly changed my 7:30 am pick up time at midnight, and I stayed home that day specifically for them to pick it up. They didn't offer me anything for that change but they charge you when you make a change. Cleanly is actually the worst. My experience was nothing short of horrible. I returned from a 2 month trip out west and decided to have my clothes sent out as it would be faster. I sent them 3 bags of clothes. First, I only got one small bag back when they delivered it. After complaining that more than half my clothes were missing, they said they realized that they left some behind and would bring them to me. Once they brought them I realized yet again, all of the items I asked to be air dried were missing. I asked and they said they needed 10 days to "investigate." After having to follow up multiple times they finally conceded that they totally lost the clothes. I went back and forth with customer service forever because they wanted to give me $3 per item!! I sent them proof of purchase of each item totally over $700 dollars and they said there was nothing they can do. The last straw was when I asked if they could at least refund the $150 I paid for the services since they were obviously not completed since my clothes were misplaced multiple times and then eventually lost. They said no. This place is absolutely terrible - DO NOT trust them with your clothes. read more

It's sad when a business like Cleanly.com can't get their pick up/delivery people to follow simply instructions to deliver to the ground floor. They call me every morning we have a scheduled pick up/deliver because they can't follow the instructions! I am done with you Cleanly! 1/2/2018 Update-Since my last update Cleanly has "lost" 2 entire sets of Egyptian cotton California King sheets and an entire matched set of 6 towels. I believe they have a security problem as some at their plant "cherry picks" all the high quality things. We have yet to have the old shitty towels missing. Their reimbursement policy for lost items is a joke. I started using Cleanly laundry services this past summer. What encouraged me to use Cleanly was the promo code that gives you $10 off your first 3 orders. After signing up, I was offered a trial for 1-week or 30-month Cleanly Reserve membership which gives you benefits such as waived delivery fee, 12 free hang-dry items, a few waived no-show fees, and several free rush deliveries. It's a pretty awesome way to start! The actual valet service itself was decent. With each order you place, you get a personal valet who comes directly to your door to collect your items- no matter how light or heavy. There hasn't been a time where my valet was late or didn't show up, they'd always come in the scheduled hourly window. When you place your first order, your valet brings you your FREE laundry bag, garment bag, and hang-dry bag. Last but not least: the actual laundry service. I chose my laundry settings to be of warm wash, low-dry, scented detergent, and softener. These instructions seem to have been followed well so far. When your laundry is brought back to you, your washed and folded clothes are put in a large clear plastic bag and then placed inside the original wash and fold bag (so that the clean clothes aren't touching the dirty). Your dry-cleaned items would be professionally placed inside the designated garment bag as well. The folding clothes were done decently. I could honestly say that I'd do a better job, but it's nothing to complain about. The overall smell was less than how I usually want it. It's obvious that my clothes are being washed and cycled, but I can't smell the Downy softener that the company says they use...but then again, it may be because the clothes are placed in a plastic bag overnight. Again, nothing to really complain about. The overall service of Cleanly is decent. I'd say if you're looking for an affordable and lazy way to do laundry, give this a try and take advantage of the promos and free trials. $1.50/lb clothes and $6.50 for dry clean blouses/pants are the prices I've paid so far for my laundry. read more

Cleanly - Laundry Services Near Me

Cleanly went down hill tremendously. They are not responding and keep pushing back delivery of my clothes. If a business takes something that belongs to you under the notion that they will return at x time and date, and then refuse to do so without conversing or receiving consent from the customer, it's theft. Completely unprofessional and inappropriate treatment of customers. Should not be allowed to operate. read more

Cleanly is great - it is so much easier to have your laundry picked up and delivered door to door than lugging it a few blocks and spending hours in a laundromat every time you need to wash your sheets. I think their pricing for blankets and duvet covers is a little high, but their wash and fold pricing is reasonable and consistent with what you might pay at a regular laundromat. Cleanly has made y life a lot easier overall! read more

WARNING: When Cleanly loses your clothes - and it's just a matter of time when they will - they won't help at all. PLEASE before you download that app or stuff that Cleanly laundry bag, know that every time you order their services you are rolling the dice on whether you will see the clothes in that bag ever again. They won't even pretend like they are actively trying to resolve the issue and you will never talk to the same person twice. I am lucky in that I have been able to find my stuff in the end, but I won't ever be taking that chance with Cleanly again. I didn't learn my lesson until now and I hope you learn it sooner. Monday: My pick-up was on Saturday and I received a notification at that my clothes were delivered Monday night to my building front desk. My order included two suits and a number of wife's dresses that we calculated to be a total value of $2,500-3,000. Tuesday: I went to my building front desk and they said they did not have anything for me. I immediately messaged Cleanly through the app, tricked the bot into getting me to a real person named Maddie. Maddie said sorry and they would take this very seriously, but the driver was off duty that night and would be working the next day. Wednesday: In the morning, Maddie gives me an update that the driver said he is "quite sure" that he dropped off the delivery at my address with the "Front desk/concierge." She recommended that I work with my building management to pull security footage of that night to confirm. I explain that there are number of properties in my area with front desks and concierges. The driver could have easily taken it to the wrong place. I asked her to see if he could come by my address and confirm that it was the building he went to and the person that gave the delivery to. She agreed and said they would send them out to confirm that night. This is the last time I heard from Maddie. Thursday: I sent multiple emails to Maddie asking for an update from the night before with no response. So, I go back through the app, through the bot, and then to another person. I re-explained my story to them and they said they will get me an update later. I get a phone call from another person (I think her name was Lisa, but can't remember) and the only update she has from me is that dispatch team hasn't responded back yet and they would let me know when they did. I continue to hear nothing for the rest of the afternoon. I get with my building management to find out more information from them. The managers on duty said that they personally reviewed the logs and it showed that no one dropped off any dry-cleaning or package at the time Cleanly said they arrived. They said they would provide the security footage to the me and company to prove that. I updated Cleanly with information from the building. I get a response from a person named Ethel saying that dispatch confirmed twice that they delivered it to the front desk and that I should "feel free to circle back for any clarification [I] may have." I explained again to Ethel that there were a number of properties with front desks near me and the driver could have dropped it off at the wrong location. I again asked them to send the driver out to confirm which building he or she took it to. Ethel responded that the driver that was on duty wouldn't be back till Monday... Friday: Fed up with Cleanly, I decided to do the thing they should have done from the beginning. I go from property to property nearby - all of which have front desks by the way - and explain the story. I get to one property where the person at the front was pretty confident it wouldn't be there, but to her surprise she found my dry-cleaning in the back! Cleanly delivered it to the wrong place! I am flooded with relief and happiness but it is closely followed by anger. I message Cleanly through the app, through the bot, to a real person name Charlie. I explain to Charlie the situation and that I demanded a full refund. He offers $20 for my troubles. Keep in mind that the dry-cleaning bill was a little over $100 and as I mentioned the clothes were in the thousands. I wasn't asking for much to make it right and my time going out to scour the neighborhood actually saved them the cost of replacing the clothes. But not only is $20, it is a $20 credit to my account. I quickly explain to Charlie that I will never use their services again and not only is $20 not even remotely enough, the credit is useless. He chooses to escalate it to a supervisor and she would get back to me in 3-5 DAYS. I told him that was unacceptable and that she would need to get back to me that day. Hours later, I receive an email from a supervisor named Constance. She said they could now offer me a $50 credit. I again explained how that is not acceptable and that I would want a refund. She said they could not offer any type of refund that was not credits to use Cleanly services again. read more

Got Cleanly with a code my friend had sent for $10 off my first 3 orders, they only honored it on my first order. When I called to resolve, customer service kept saying they "couldn't retroactively apply it", and said that they would at least apply the discount on my next order. (They didn't.) I then had an issue with a valet who called to say they were at my door an hour before my pickup time. I rushed to get there, and the valet was nowhere to be found and ignored my call back. I wrote into customer service, and got a "we'll look into this issue", but no actual resolve. On the same order as the valet issue, I got my order returned damaged, and wrote to them that I had to discard one of my items because it was beyond repair. When they e-mailed me back- not offering a refund or discount, I asked for details on how to cancel my account. No response. Overpriced, and awful customer service with no desire for customer retention. read more

Edited after receiving my lost laundry. Cleanly lost 21 lbs of my laundry the very first time I used the service/app. Fortunately they did locate and return my bag about 24 hours after notifying me that they were "launching an official search investigation" for it. However, they did not launch the search until I asked what the deal was after they delayed my delivery four times at the last minute, after I had already set an alarm on a weekend morning or rearranged my plans to meet them. On the last delivery attempt the driver actually showed up at my apartment more or less on time (a few minutes later than the 1.5 hour delivery window), but did not have my laundry bag in his car and said it must still be at the cleaning facility. Only then did he instruct me to text a number, then send an email to find out that my clothes were lost. I asked several times to speak to someone on the phone but they kept directing me to email. I had to describe all my lost clothes in detail via email. I'd have considered giving Cleanly another shot if they were more transparent in their communications. Not worth the gamble of losing your stuff or the stress. read more
