If I could leave no stars I would . Last year I brought my 2020 ford f250 diesel back to the dealership because I knew there was something wrong with the transmission. It kept jumping gears on me from the 1st to the 3rd. I took it in the first time and they had my truck for 6 weeks and never did anything to it but only check the fluids, only to be told that there was nothing wrong with it. I bring it back a second time because of the same problem, they kept it another 3 weeks and supposedly ran diagnostics on computer and still yet again they said nothing is wrong with it. All this was happening at the end of 2025 Well guess what my warranty expired at the end of December 2025. I finally got it checked by a diesel mechanic out here in weatherford tx.. it took him literally 3 hours of running tests with his computer equipment that I have transmission failure in the 1-3 gears, and that I would need to replace the transmission as soon as possible. ($11,000) Clay Cooley had my truck for a total of 2.5 months and didn't do a damn thing to try and fix the issue, and clearly since my warranty was about to expire in a couple months they did nothing. How convenient for them. They claim to be so professional and that they had the BEST mechanics in all of tx working there yet they couldn't even help in the slightest. SIDE NOTE: before I picked it up for the second time from the dealership, I had them change out my batteries, as long as I bought them and took the batteries to clay Cooley they would change them for me AND would give me a refund for purchasing the batteries. Well guess what since I had left them a bad review on their website I got a call from some lady on there corporate side telling me that if I wanted a refund for my batteries that I had to agree to take off that bad review that I had left on Clay Cooley of Arlington. Sad sad sad!!!!! I'll never buy another vehicle from clay cooley of Arlington ever again!! Ppl pls go spend your money elsewhere! Yall have been warned, they don't care about customer service here. I battled with them for months about this problem and mother ever got resolved. Idk why I trusted the service manager. She seamed so sincere about them fixing my truck or trying to figure out what was wrong with it. Clearly they didn't care and took advantage of my warranty coverage ending later in December. I almost bought another truck from them but after this I will no longer be going back. I'm taking business to 5 star ford in Arlington where my brother has bought 2 trucks and has had an amazing experience with their team. So I drove over an hour because they had two vehicles I wanted see that showed available online my mistake was I guess I should've called to see if they were still available but they showed online available. When I get there one of them was sold a year ago. looked at the other one I like it so I decided to buy it salesman haggled a lot. We finally came to an agreement and the deal was worked out. Here's where my biggest issue comes in I go to the finance department they try and try and push their warranties on me. I say no I wanted to stick with my original deal. Sales manager walks in and offers me a deal which I accept it what he didn't tell me as he changed the length of the term by 12 months, which wasn't such a great deal. The original finance guy ran through the paperwork so quick it wasn't until he emailed it to me and I said they're looking at it on my phone at a pace I read it but I noticed they'd the term by 12 months at that point, I said I'm done, but I still wanted the vehicle so I agreed to go back to the original with no add-ons, but had I not caught it it would've been over 10000$. The actions of two finance employees gave me such a bad feeling about this place. I won't go back for any service or anything, and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at Clay Cooley Ford Arlington on 11/4/2025. I came in by appointment, ready to purchase an F-250 at the $85,950 price they emailed me. After the test drive, the salesperson Bill Belt told me every vehicle requires a mandatory $2,400 "warranty" package -- which was actually paint-protection and minor touch-up coverage, not a real mechanical warranty. That was never disclosed beforehand and is a clear bait-and-switch tactic. When I refused, the manager eventually agreed to honor the quoted price but was rude and unprofessional when he came to talk. Then I was told the deal only stood if I financed through Ford Credit at about 8%, even though I had already secured 5.49% financing elsewhere. I walked out. Between the hidden add-ons, forced financing, and poor attitude, this dealership completely lost my trust. They denied it but had to admit it when I told them why I knew my tires had been rearranged. Long story short.... I must say, I'm not one to go to the dealer service department but this time I did due to a recall on my 2015 F250 rear camera. They performed an inspection on my truck while getting the rear camera replaced and discovered that there were several issues. I had an idea there were some issues that needed address and I opted out on a few but decided on the tune up. I will say, Mr. Oscar Sanchez was very professional and understanding when I spoke with him in person and on the phone. They even offered to take me home because the work on the camera was to take 5 hours which was under warranty. The price for the tune up was reasonable for the work that was to be done and overall, I was pleased with it. My truck runs as the first day I got it 5 years ago. Great experience getting my F-150 from Clay Cooley. Made it easy to get the vehicle I wanted at a fair price

We live in Tulsa, which is at least a 4-hour drive from Arlington, TX, so we made the trip expecting professionalism and honesty. Before driving down, we found two Broncos online and spoke with two different sales reps. Both confirmed the price was around $47,000, and we even had the price in writing via email. However, when we arrived, the price had suddenly "magically" jumped to $57,000 due to a lift kit and wheels that were added, however, on the website it wasn't mentioned that the wheels and lift kit were $10k extra and not included on the advertised price. Mind you, on the website it clearly says, "your price". To make matters worse, the other Bronco we wanted to look at wouldn't even start. The dealer tried multiple times to jump it but couldn't get it running. After driving four hours, that was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. The dealership itself was also underwhelming. The waiting area was subpar, and while they asked us at least ten times if we wanted water, what we really wanted was honesty and professionalism -- not bottled water. I'm not sure who they think they're fooling, but hopefully not many people. Based on our experience, I wouldn't recommend making a long drive or even a short drive for this dealership. We ended up driving to BMW of Dallas instead -- and I walked away with the best car ever! read more

I made an appointment to have my 10k mile service completed at Clay Cooley in Arlington, TX through the Ford app over the weekend. I experienced easy access through the app, and booked an appointment first thing on the following business day. My Service Tech, Alec, was professional, knowledgeable, a very pleasant person. (Especially for it being early in the morning.) He finished the service earlier than I expected, kept me updated in real-time throughout the service's progression with text and photos that were a great visual aide for the reasonable maintenence recommendations he made​ for my vehicle. My truck runs and drives just like the day I drove it off of the lot and the price was exceptionally cheap. I give this experience 5 stars and would recommend this service center to anyone, including family and friends that I would like to remain in contact with me. Great job, Alec! Horrible, unprofessional and no sense of urgency. I went to this location because they were suppose to do repairs on a vehicle, I bought from them less than a month ago. After speaking with a worker, he stated everything has been coordinated and just drive up and drop off. Not even close to what happen. Had three service advisors come to the vehicle. They stated they were waiting for a "lady" to come down. When the individual "came down", she was rude and unproffessioanl. She had no idea of what was going on and because I could not remember the name of the fired salesperson she stated while walking about, "...let service figure it out!" I sat there in the bay for 30 minutes and finally left. Avoid this dealership and service center. read more

I initially contacted the dealership on April 30th to purchase a 2024 F-250 King Ranch. After some negotiation, we agreed on a price. However, when I asked for a purchase order, they included a $2,500 down payment that I had never agreed to--just to make the numbers match. I made it clear that I wasn't okay with that and backed out of the deal. On May 2nd, I called back and offered to buy the vehicle at the original agreed-upon price, without the unauthorized down payment. Instead of honoring the deal, they raised their dealer add-on fee by $3,000. I have documentation to back all of this up if anyone's interested. I strongly recommend staying away from this dealership--or at the very least, proceed with extreme caution. If you're curious, search their name on Reddit. This dealership is terrible le. The customer service couldn't be worse! I leased my car when this place was Don David Ford and turned my car in when the lease ended. It was Clay Cooley at this point. They took my car back and had me sign nothing after I asked three times to sign the mileage statement they said I'd recieve it in the mail. I have not. They never told my finance company, ford motor credit, that I turned in the car! So ford called wanting my next payment on a car I gave back. A very inept and poorly run company! read more

My daughter's first car buying experience and what she witnessed by Clay Cooley Ford sales depart was pathetic. Lack of Honesty, the Sales Manager, Babatunde Ogundele, and Sales Person, Teresa Lovo, were exceptionally dishonest, then they actually lied to us when I ask to speak to the General Manager to honor advertised sale deal... They lied again by telling us the General Manager was "out of town until next week", that he, Mr. Ogundele, was "second in command and in charge" of the dealership. WOW! I thanked them for their time, I shook their hands (they were not friendly), and as we were walking out, I detoured over to the front counter and asked for the GM's business card... The person I asked was the actual GM... Yes, that happened! Sale Manager tried to lie again, go caught, then walked away... The GM did honor the deal, but it was not a comfortable transaction... I had a safety recall on my vehicle I did not know about. The part failed and I had it towed to ford after the mechanic told me I had catastrophic damage to my car due to the recall part. Ford confirmed the damages were due to the recall part and got me into a loaner 2 days later.. That same day, I got in the mail the safety recall from ford. I did save this. They had to replace my engine. I got my car back a month later. The mileage on my car was the exact same from when they got my car to when I picked it up. I have the paperwork to prove it. No one thought to test drive a car they just replaced an engine in. I was charged $250 for a full detail on a vehicle that I drove under 300 miles, do not smoke, had a full tank. No one would return calls as to why I was charged. I called that same week to make sure the winding noise I kept hearing was normal and the burning smell was normal. They told me the burning is the engine oils and normal and new engines take 500-1000 miles to break in. Two months later, I'm at 900 miles since the new engine and the winding noise is constant. I take my car to get a compete diagnostic away from ford because I didn't trust them after being blown off multiple times about the noise.. and they tell me I have transmission fluid leaking from multiple places. Their best guess was it was not put together properly when they replaced my engine. I took it back to ford. Gave them the report I had gotten and got a phone call the next week they found "a leak". They confirmed this was due to them replacing the engine aka falls under safety recall and were fixing the leak- and he would test drive my car before he called to say I could get it. He calls me early evening and said he still heard the noise so he had them look again and they found additional leaks (as the report I gave him told them) and needed to order parts. I went in yesterday to get another loaner and finally got an answer as to why I was charged on the last vehicle. I was told it was for animal hairs. I own two huskies, neither of them got near that car. If there were hairs, it was on transfer from clothing and I could not see hairs when I did a cursory vacuum of the car the day before I returned it. The vehicle they put me in yesterday has stains in the back seat and crumbs on the console as well as in the cup holders. I did not see the stains in the back seat but I did ask the employee if I was going to be charged for the obvious crumbs. He FLICKED one and said "no." Today, I see a charge from ford for $200 and no answers as to why. At this point, I'm out $450 for loaners on a car that has 37k miles on it and has significantly lost monetary value when they replaced my engine and who knows what else has happened to my transmission. I'm inclined to speak to an attorney and find out if ford is charging everyone for full details and as the current loaner shows- does not actually do them. That is fraud. read more

I bought a vehicle from here a few months ago. Here are my complaints: -Bait and switch prices -Finance will pressure (flat out lie) you into buying they're extend warranty -They told me "we don't accept outside financing" -Staff playing loud obnoxious music in the lobby while vaping everywhere. There were more issues but these were the main ones. I since then canceled all the warranties and got most of my money back. I am still missing my refund for their "easy care" warranty which is $1195. I'm gonna have to show up in person because no one answers the phone and when they do they transfer you to a voicemail machine. Absolutely horrific service.
