I made an appointment to have my 10k mile service completed at Clay Cooley in Arlington, TX through the Ford app over the weekend. I experienced easy access through the app, and booked an appointment first thing on the following business day. My Service Tech, Alec, was professional, knowledgeable, a very pleasant person. (Especially for it being early in the morning.) He finished the service earlier than I expected, kept me updated in real-time throughout the service's progression with text and photos that were a great visual aide for the reasonable maintenence recommendations he made​ for my vehicle. My truck runs and drives just like the day I drove it off of the lot and the price was exceptionally cheap. I give this experience 5 stars and would recommend this service center to anyone, including family and friends that I would like to remain in contact with me. Great job, Alec! I bought a vehicle from here a few months ago. Here are my complaints: -Bait and switch prices -Finance will pressure (flat out lie) you into buying they're extend warranty -They told me "we don't accept outside financing" -Staff playing loud obnoxious music in the lobby while vaping everywhere. There were more issues but these were the main ones. I since then canceled all the warranties and got most of my money back. I am still missing my refund for their "easy care" warranty which is $1195. I'm gonna have to show up in person because no one answers the phone and when they do they transfer you to a voicemail machine. Absolutely horrific service. I had a safety recall on my vehicle I did not know about. The part failed and I had it towed to ford after the mechanic told me I had catastrophic damage to my car due to the recall part. Ford confirmed the damages were due to the recall part and got me into a loaner 2 days later.. That same day, I got in the mail the safety recall from ford. I did save this. They had to replace my engine. I got my car back a month later. The mileage on my car was the exact same from when they got my car to when I picked it up. I have the paperwork to prove it. No one thought to test drive a car they just replaced an engine in. I was charged $250 for a full detail on a vehicle that I drove under 300 miles, do not smoke, had a full tank. No one would return calls as to why I was charged. I called that same week to make sure the winding noise I kept hearing was normal and the burning smell was normal. They told me the burning is the engine oils and normal and new engines take 500-1000 miles to break in. Two months later, I'm at 900 miles since the new engine and the winding noise is constant. I take my car to get a compete diagnostic away from ford because I didn't trust them after being blown off multiple times about the noise.. and they tell me I have transmission fluid leaking from multiple places. Their best guess was it was not put together properly when they replaced my engine. I took it back to ford. Gave them the report I had gotten and got a phone call the next week they found "a leak". They confirmed this was due to them replacing the engine aka falls under safety recall and were fixing the leak- and he would test drive my car before he called to say I could get it. He calls me early evening and said he still heard the noise so he had them look again and they found additional leaks (as the report I gave him told them) and needed to order parts. I went in yesterday to get another loaner and finally got an answer as to why I was charged on the last vehicle. I was told it was for animal hairs. I own two huskies, neither of them got near that car. If there were hairs, it was on transfer from clothing and I could not see hairs when I did a cursory vacuum of the car the day before I returned it. The vehicle they put me in yesterday has stains in the back seat and crumbs on the console as well as in the cup holders. I did not see the stains in the back seat but I did ask the employee if I was going to be charged for the obvious crumbs. He FLICKED one and said "no." Today, I see a charge from ford for $200 and no answers as to why. At this point, I'm out $450 for loaners on a car that has 37k miles on it and has significantly lost monetary value when they replaced my engine and who knows what else has happened to my transmission. I'm inclined to speak to an attorney and find out if ford is charging everyone for full details and as the current loaner shows- does not actually do them. That is fraud. read more

I purchased a 2025 Ford Bronco Sport from Clay Cooley Ford of Arlington on November 21, 2025, and unfortunately the post-sale experience was extremely stressful and poorly handled. I traded in my BMW with the title in hand and no liens. Despite this, my equity check from the trade-in was delayed for nearly two weeks, and I had to repeatedly follow up to get any updates. There was no proactive communication during this time. More concerning was the dealership's failure to provide me with my buyer's receipt/proof of purchase at the time of sale. This document is required for legal proof of purchase and for transferring a driver's license in Texas. Because I was not given this paperwork, I was turned away at the Texas DPS and had to wait in line and return another day after being told I needed documentation that the dealership never provided. I had to call the dealership multiple times, and the paperwork was only sent after I escalated the issue. This caused unnecessary stress, wasted time, and additional trips that could have easily been avoided if basic post-sale responsibilities had been handled correctly. While the vehicle itself is great, the lack of organization, delayed follow-through, and poor communication after the sale made this a frustrating experience. I would strongly recommend that future buyers ensure they receive all required documents before leaving the dealership and follow up immediately on any outstanding payments. read more

I went to 4 dealerships before purchasing at Clay Cooley due to the subpar service I got at the other places. . I started conversing with De'vonte via text to confirm he has had I was looking for. Made an appt to go see car and unfortunately it sold that morning and system wasn't updated. I was bummed but was surprised when they rolled out with a car that was better than what I went there for originally. As any car buying experience financing and negotiating takes its time but I would say that De'vonte, his manager, and the finance guy were all very professional. Even after the sale, De'vonte made sure I was taken care of. Really enjoy the complimentary Clay Cooley year package they give with any purchase. I was browsing cars online and came across a "smoking deal" on a new 2025 Mustang (keep in mind its 2026 now and this car had been on their lot for 300+ days at this point). Online the price was advertised as $45,774 base. This got me interested enough to book an appointment and drive an hour to go see them. Big mistake. Once I was there and we started talking numbers I was extremely surprised to see that the base price had magically jumped by nearly $2,000 to 47,500, despite the fact that this car has been sitting for 300 days as a new 2025 in 2026. After all is said and done the price they wanted was significantly higher than what they originally advertised just because I expressed interest in the vehicle online. If you must visit these jokers, keep your cards close to your chest and dont tell them which specific model you want ahead of time unless you like overpaying for nothing! read more

I finally decided today to just speak with whoever answered the phone in service to see if maybe I could get some answers from them instead of asking for my service advisor, (what a joke) the lady that answered the phone at first was you know helpful and then she got an attitude with me because she insisted that my vehicle was there telling me that they will get to it when they can get to it and I'm like are you brain damaged? The repairs were done in a timely fashion. Nacho stayed in constant touch with us. Communication was great. He even found us the tires we had been looking for and could not find at a fair price. I give 1 stars because of the salesman. I give 5 stars for Alex (used Car) and Michael (Finance). Those two went the extra mile and we got the sale done and Mike worked hard to satisfy. After calling out the salesman on not presenting the Clay Cooley Family plan, which was found out at financing, Mike stepped up to the plate. At my first visit with the salesman, I was upfront about my feelings with purchasing a Ford, and he said, "give me a chance". Well, I did, and he wasn't upfront at closing process. But thanks again to Mike for working out everything out. Not once has the salesman contacted me after leaving messages since the sale was complete. Also, he didn't seem interested in re-reviewing how everything worked on the entertainment system. I also had to figure out the Ford app as he wasn't interested in helping after being called out during the final purchasing process. Now I have to put the truck into the shop for tire monitor system reset (which should have been done before leaving since truck set for months on the lot) and an alignment as the steering wheel is not straight. I was sent a very convincing letter from this dealership saying that they were desperate to buy my car and get me an amazing deal on a new vehicle. They offered me $23,500 for my trade in and added "receive an additional $5k with this letter!" However as expected I went to the dealership and not only did they not give me the minimum offer on my trade, they lowered it by almost $3,000 and would not budge. Along with that they didn't stick to the $3,500 off the new car price and of course the "0% APR for 72months" was not legit either and was only available on electric vehicles. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. I'm in a service industry and if my team acted anything like this I personally would be mortified. Incredibly long, three month story short . I was lied to repeatedly and told I did not have an extended warranty until my bank threatened to launch an investigation was I told I did in fact have a warranty. they held onto my car for three months and at the end of that three month period. Informed me that Oopsie the mileage on my vehicle, exceeds the warranty requirements . But because they tore down the car for care guard they wanted to charge me for tearing it down and putting it back together since it wasn't covered by the warranty. I made a fuss because it took them three months to inform me of this and after I had paid to have it towed to them so they did me a "courtesy" of not charging me for breakdown and put back together(which we could've avoided if they had accurate information). Only to have it towed to MY mechanic and he inform me that parts all over the vehicle in the trunk in the car and it would be an additional 4 to 6 hours in his labor cost when I informed Ford not a single person cared nor did they do anything to rectify the situation Other than offer me to purchase a battery from them at cost because the battery from being disconnected so Long had pooped out. First of all if I could give them zero stars I would. Only after the fact of buying a truck from them did I find out that they charged my credit card an extra approximately $90 dollars. It was for a payment on the TTL that I was paying up front. Which is in dispute with my credit card for an unauthorized purchase. I called Marcel in finance about the situation and at first he said that they would credit that but after waiting 1 month after the purchase the credit has still not been applied. And now after trying to contact him, I suppose they have caller ID because he will not answer my calls or messages. I tried talking to their CSM named Tunde and he wouldn't take my calls either but told the receptionist to tell me that he would call me back. He hasn't. I have called back repeatedly to no avail. In the messages I told them that I would be leaving them a bad review and apparently, they don't care. This situation is not over yet and this is not the only place that they will get bad reviews from. I would never recommend anyone buying a vehicle from them at all ! Spent way too long at this dealership with my time being wasted due to their shady and deceptive practices. First problem - "bait and switch" - found a truck on their website, called to verify they had it on the lot. They said they did but I asked them if they could please lay their eyes on it to verify before I made the long drive there. (The website only had stock photos of this truck, which was the first red flag). Got a text back that they definitely had it. We got there to look at it and salesman went to find the keys. Came back out with keys and walked us into the parking lot and said "well we don't have the actual truck you found online anymore but we have some similar." At this point, we were irritated but agreed to look at another option they had (they options they did have were more expensive than the one we initially called about). We liked the one we drove and began the negotiation process. Couldn't reach an agreement that day, so we left. Next business day, my husband calls the salesman and says "here is what the dealership up the road is offering. If you can match that, I'll come buy it today." Salesman calls back a few hours later and says the manager said they will make a deal if we come in. We made the hour long drive there again. Once we got there, the deal they offered was worse than what had been offered the previous day! They tried to tell us that deal was only for that day. Skipping ahead, we negotiated back to the original deal and slightly lower (though not the deal they implied they would make when we called before coming). To this point, financing had not even been mentioned nor were they coming off of their price much. It was the online price minus a few hundred bucks. So, we agree to a deal and they say they will go get the credit application. I immediately said I was planning to use my bank (Navy Federal) and already knew the rates. We were told "oh we can run it through Navy Fed too". So I said, sure you can run it through multiple banks and see who has the best rate because I already knew the rate with Navy Fed. We filled out the credit application and I asked again to make sure they were running it through Navy Fed. They said "we were going to run it through Ford because that's usually where we get the best rates." I said that's fine (again bc I already knew the rate with Navy Fed and could compare the options.) When it was finally time to go into the finance guy's office, he hands me the registration paperwork and I notice the lender is Ally. He then tells us that they only ran it through Ally (not even through Ford) and the rate is almost double the rate we would get from Navy Fed. So we said that we will just go through Navy Fed ourselves and then we were told "the GM said he won't take a check from Navy Fed." .... From there things kind of spiraled. It is evident they have a partnership of some sort with Ally and financially benefit when customers finance with Ally.... At DOUBLE THE INTEREST RATE! Then the sales guy comes back in and says that the deal we negotiated was only if we finance through their preferred lender. Which was complete BS. We have bought many cars and I have had offers that were contingent on using a certain lender, but this was always made clear at the time of negotiations. When we were negotiating the price (which, again, came out a few hundred less than their online pricing... they weren't taking additional thousands off or anything), we could have been planning to pay cash for all they knew. They never even brought up financing. Ultimately, it was a hit to my credit report (they provided me with a letter for the credit bureau because of that), and a HUGE waste of time dealing with their lying. Clay Cooley Ford formerly Don Davis Ford is an incredibly poor place to take your vehicle for service I took my vehicle there last week for an oil change and they made a recommendation of I believe between 7:00 and $800 worth of work that needed to be done to the vehicle of which none included the fact that it needed a battery I took the car back today Monday June 9th 2025 for a recall and after the car was there for between 5:00 and 6:00 hours we got a call saying we needed a new battery and they would charge us just $300.00 for the battery and $60 to install it the only problem is as far as I know there's nothing wrong with the battery the car started and worked properly and it would have been nice and they're multi point inspection had said hey your batteries got issues that would have been one thing but that's not how they did it in my book clay Cooley Ford clay Cooley dealerships are all mouse houses they're just there to screw the consumer and it's a real shame I thought that the ownership were people of integrity but that could not be farther from the truth thank you read more
