My Audi A4 had gotten to the point where it sounded like it was ready to fall apart. I had previously taken it to the dealership and was quoted over $1,500 to replace my left wheel bearing. Because I simply wasn't in a position to spend thousands of dollars on a repair right now, I had tried going another route with a mobile mechanic--and unfortunately ended up getting ripped off in the process. Needless to say, by the time I came to NRH Auto, I was frustrated and honestly a little apprehensive about trusting another mechanic. When I arrived, I spoke with one of the owner's sons. He took the time to look up the part and put together a quote for the repair. The initial amount was still a little outside of what I could comfortably afford, so I simply asked if there was anything they could do to work with me. And they did. They were able to get my repair done for about half of what the dealership had quoted me, and there was no sacrificing the level of service. My car was completed in approximately 2 1/2 hours, and they even dropped me off at my home nearby and picked me back up when my car was ready. What stood out to me most was how I was treated. I never felt pressured, taken advantage of, or like they were trying to add unnecessary repairs. They listened, worked with me, and got the job done. After dealing with a dealership quote I couldn't afford and then being taken advantage of by someone else, I think I've finally found an honest, skilled, and reasonably priced mechanic shop that I can trust with my Audi A4. I asked about diagnostics informing them that I had already performed my own diagnostics having owned a automotive shop in the 1990s but being 65 with disc degeneration from C3 to C7 along with my eyesight not so good anymore I needed some more capable fresh eyes on the matter with regards to the CEL & perhaps performing a smoke test & isolating a vacuum leak which was causing the Emissions system, specifically the purge circuit for the charcoal canister to fail registering with a code. I informed them that I had already ferreted it out with the TSB's & confirmed that the fuel filler neck had been replaced as per a warranty recall but that instead of a hard plastic Teflon vacuum line there was a fuel line in place which I suspect it was collapsing upon evacuation of the purge system "call". I also informed them that I had already replaced the fuel cap, the purge valve, with items from Amazon, & the dealer without the issue resolving itself. I also informed them that I had a iCarSoft along with a LAUNCH CRP, EQUUS 3140 INNOVA & an ACTRON CP9410 scanner tools & that I was able to read, clear & monitor in real time the issue with regards to the CEL. They came back & said they don't work on old cars.... Or that they quit working on cars that old a couple years ago. Which is just bullshit. If you go to their site Facebook page or otherwise, even their ad/advertisement shows a C Class, W203 car that they claim to have worked on which is exactly what my daughter's car is. They just don't want customers like me that know what they're talking about because they won't be able to take advantage of me & now they refuse to even respond to me over chat. I even gave them the chance to say just let me know that "I'm one of THOSE customers, & that you don't really wanna deal with people like me" but they're fucking cowards & therefore they're liars because they don't want to tell the truth. I wouldn't deal with liars if I were you .

I provided them with the diagnostic from Sewell, which clearly indicated that my vehicle needed a new AC condenser and both rear wheel bearings. After a week in the shop, I was informed that the AC was still not working and that my car had developed a new "screeching" noise that was not present prior to service. I later learned that instead of replacing the AC condenser, as the diagnostic indicated, they replaced the AC compressor. Great Motors then charged an additional $188 to re-diagnose the same issue, when it was their mistake that they replaced the AC compressor instead of the condenser. Their misunderstanding of the difference between these AC parts resulted in an additional hundreds of dollars!! Unfortunately, this experience left me with a car that was incorrectly repaired, unnecessary additional fees and concerns about both the accuracy of their work and accountability. While I wanted to support a local business, I cannot recommend Great Motors based on this unsatisfactory outcome.

Along with a full repaint, there were a number of small to medium maintenance things that needed doing, re surfacing the interior ceiling with new cloth, fixing some minor body issues, polishing and clearing up my head lamps. It was a lot of work, and took about a month - but when I got my car back on the other end I almost didn't recognize it. Went to him in peak summer for car with no AC, most places charge a surge price due to the need BUT he came in with a very reasonable diagnostic rate and got my car blowing cold again. They also have discount for using debit card or cash which is very nice. Only thing I can say in the not so great column would be communication; once car was dropped off, I waited 5 hours then called myself to get update, got the update that car was almost done in another 45 min. After and hour and half and time being 4:30(20min drive and they close at 5:30) decided to head that way to make sure I get the car back at end of the day. When I was pulling into the parking lot Paul called to advise car was ready for pickup.
