It also had a sticker…read moreindicating the timing belt had been replaced at 86k miles in 2012 so they were lying about the engine having 50-65k miles on it. Further, there was a loud knocking noise coming from the engine and compression was around 100-125 PSI on each cylinder. It took 2-3 days and I had to re-send the same e-mail a few times before they would respond to my questions. I eventually received a refund but it cost me a lot of time, labor, and money. When I did finally receive the refund a few weeks later, they issued it without any sort of apology for selling me a defective engine with way more miles on it than they advertised. I definitely will not purchase from them again.

I considered going to Amazon to buy them, but I needed them as soon as possible because it was supposed to rain. Fortunately, Kayla behind the counter helped me find the wipers I needed and even went above and beyond by installing them for me. Thank you, Kayla! I will definitely go back to see her again.

Saturday was probably the worst retail experience of my life. I was trying to help a disabled lady…read morewho had to sit in the car as I went inside to relay her wishes. Not only were the two female employees not helpful, they went out of their way to make things more difficult. Actually, they were impossible. The lady in the car had bought a battery a year and a half ago at this location, but I was told that since the battery had a "fuse" they couldn't test it, work on it, sell us a new one, anything. They said two rights don't make a wrong. As if that wasn't bad enough, they said we should go to a mechanics's shop because we needed an alternator, which didn't make sense. Because if the car would start with a jump and continue to run with a completely flat battery, obviously the alternator must be working. To top it off the lady in charge at the store actually said to go down the block to O'Reilly's , which we did and they were more than happy to sell us a battery and install it on the spot. I recommend everyone reading this also follow that advice and go to O'Reilly's.

So it's makes for good entertainment meeting new people from Texas. So I'm sitting here talking to the locals and how crazy everyone drives here. Have to say though the people are all very friendly learned a lot about how breaking the law while driving crazy isn't really breaking the law. Interesting to say the least.

Along with a full repaint, there were a number of small to medium maintenance things that needed doing, re surfacing the interior ceiling with new cloth, fixing some minor body issues, polishing and clearing up my head lamps. It was a lot of work, and took about a month - but when I got my car back on the other end I almost didn't recognize it. SLP did a fantastic job and they have my full recommendation and will be going back for other work in the future. Thank you !
