Being new to the area and out of warranty, my wife found MPAuto Repair on Google with incredible reviews. We swallowed hard but decided to move forward with the repair and they completed the work quickly and efficiently. Their positive friendly aporoach to everything was really refreshing! When I went to pick it up, they asked me to come out in the shop to show me the parts that failed and were replaced. Finding a mechanic to trust has been an iffy proposition through the years. We've taken each of our family cars for needed repairs to keep the high mileage fleet rolling over the last 3 years. I was provided a video and told the oil pump solenoid/sub-harness was the main issue. My paperwork also states that this was the "primary cause of the Check Engine Light," which was confusing because my check-engine light was never on and never came on. Because the diagnosis didn't sit right with me, I decided to get a second opinion before paying for the recommended repair. I took my Mercedes to another shop, where they diagnosed the water pump as the actual cause of the overheating and confirmed the oil pump solenoid was not causing the problem. After replacing the water pump, my overheating issue was resolved. I understand that diagnosing vehicles isn't always perfect, but I specifically paid $225 to determine the cause of an overheating issue, and unfortunately, the actual cause was missed. I'm very glad I trusted my instincts and got a second opinion before spending money on a repair that would not have fixed the overheating.

I'm so incredibly busy and work 6-7 days a week, I hadn't had a day off in 6 months. I'm struggling with time and finances. I went here because car's "coolant levels are low", I'm not a mechanic, I don't know what that means. I asked Google and it said to get to a mechanic immediately, which made me nervous that it was serious and would cost me what little I have. I showed up to Jerry's General Automotive and talked to Julian. He asked if I had put more coolant in, I said no because I didn't know what that was or how to do it. I said "I think it might need a system check... to make sure it's not serious". He didn't make me feel dumb or try to take advantage of me. Instead he said "well let's go look at it first". He showed me what it was, what it meant, taught me about how it works with the car, and then filled it up. He smiled and said to come back tomorrow if the light comes back on. I asked him how much I owed him, and he told me not to worry about it. I insisted that pay him for the coolant or for some kind of service. He declined. I asked again to allow me to give the him and all the staff some cash for helping me. He just smile kindly and said "Its really ok, don't worry about it, you just have a good day" I've never seen someone so kind and honest, I had tears in my eyes as I drove away. I know that sounds dumb, but I've been going through a lot recently, and Julian just took a huge weight off of me. I'm going to come to this shop and Julian until I die haha.

I am not a mechanic, but here is why I recommend Lowetech to ALL of my friends without reservation. I took my car for an oil change (at one of the chain oil change places) and they gave me the usual laundry list of services my car needed. A couple of them seemed fairly serious, so I took it in to Lowetech and said, "The oil change place said I need this, and you guys don't charge as much as they do. I need to get this done." Dan laughed and said, "We'll check it and see." They checked and said there was no problem with my car. I walked in, ready to pay, and they said, "No issues here. No charge". I got my car hung up on a driveway leaving a driveway with a drop off I did not see. Had to have a tow truck lift me off the curb so I was concerned about damage under my car. Took it to Lowetech and they put it up on the lift, checked it, said "No issues and no charge." Last story. I had a Chevy Malibu with a leaking radiator. I tried to pour sealant in to fix it without reading/understanding the very clear instructions, "Do not use this product if you fill your radiator from the overflow tank." Needless to say, I caused some damage to my car. Lowetech quoted me a price and went to work. Short version: one problem led to another on my car, and it took much longer to work on/fix than expected. I was prepared to pay MUCH more in labor charges, but they honored their original price. The only reference I have for price/value is what the oil change places, and dealership quote me (when I go in for recall work). Lowetech is always WAY cheaper. But the most important thing to me is integrity. So what if they are $50 cheaper than the place down the street if they are telling me/charging me for services I don't need. The Lowetech guys are men of integrity. I will continue to take my cars and send my friends there, gladly associating my name with their work.
