Today one of us got the fish and chips special, and the other got a smash burger and coleslaw. My food tasted ok but it looked on the burned side or like the grease needed changed. My husband said the coleslaw was super dry like it was shredded cabbage. He did like my fried which I shared. They were actually the favorite of the meal. I didn't eat the bun on the sandwich but it looked like it would have tasted good, maybe like a hint of garlic bread. I just don't usually eat bread on fish. Anyway, food was just ok for the 45.00 price tag for two lunches, two waters. I believe they have lunch specials or lunch prices, versus dinner prices on some things. A Gem in Greencastle…read more Took my Mother In-law here for Mothers Day a day early. She worked here ( a few years back ) when this was a carhop called The Double Decker. It is also where she met my husbands father. It has changed a lot since then ,but the over hang where you parked to get service is still out back. Husband got an Omelette with Bacon and Cheddar Cheese and Crispy Hashbrowns. He loved it. I got a Breaded Tenderloin with French Fries and Cottage Cheese. The tenderloin was awesome and twice the size of the bun. A true Hoosier Tenderloin. Mother in-law got a Chopped Steak dinner with mixed veg, baked potato and salad. I ordered two beef which is hamburger and one chicken. The meat did not have much flavor. They were both pretty bland. I added salsa to all three tacos. And that helped.
