Original Moore's Hangover Tenderloin

Food was good and service was fairly quick! Burger and chicken sandwich were really good. Tenderloin was thin and a little over cooked. Portion sizes were good. Good atmosphere.

Jessie the waitress was phenomenal! Super attentive and friendly. After a whiskey tasting around the corner we were hungry and this place said it had been around since the before the 50's so we gave it a try. They had plenty of seating, had great live music going and the bathroom were clean and smelled phenomenal!! We ordered the hot cheese balls which were delicious!!!! My husband ordered the tenderloin with onion straws and I the chicken breast with fries. All the food was delicious and would definitely go back if in the area!!! Highly recommended

What a great place for lunch! I loved the atmosphere - very cozy and pub-like. Prices were fantastic! Affordable with big portions. We split the tenderloin which was delicious - loaded with toppings and perfectly cooked. The fried pickles were very good too! I'd order everything again!!!

Nice spot. Classic bar vibe but very friendly. Great food! Prices are super reasonable. I was in town for a meeting so actually went here a couple times.

In a word...Fantastic. A perfect experience awaits you at Moore's. I wish this was in my hometown for sure. I would eat here daily! I had the hand Pattied burger and fries (crinkle!) and a side salad (homemade dressing-excellent!) and everything was great. I would take away half a start for the fries being frozen not fresh cut, and the iced tea being the fountain not real brewed...but I gave it back for the cleanliness and overall charm. This is what you think a bar should look like...it's perfect. We found our new lunch spot when we are in town for the barrel horse show in Cloverdale!

Greencastle keeps adding new places to try and because of that, I put off giving Moores a try until yesterday. It's and old "shotgun" style restaurant with a long bar on the right and across the narrow aisle, small tables for dining patrons line the left side. The food was good, actually quite tasty, and the beer selections is large enough to give craft beer fans lots of local choices as well. I really enjoyed my Reuben special while my wife liked her Hangover tenderloin. She liked the seasoned breading on the tenderloin and said it wasn't too dry, so good food! The only reason I knock a star off the review is that there wasn't any attempt by the staff to make customers wear their masks as they wandered from the bar, passed all the dining customers, to the restrooms. Fortunately, my wife and I are two weeks out from finishing our Covid vaccinations, but I thought it inconsiderate of the patrons to keep talking to their buddies without masks as they walked by our table. I felt like the other patrons were just ignoring common sense and courtesy. I stopped eating and pulled up my own mask when they went by. I guess I should have just asked for our meals to go. I find it hard to sympathize with businesses that don't protect their own employees let alone their customers. So, they get a lower rating. Moore's is one of the less expensive restaurants (non-fast food) downtown, so that helps explain the full house of patrons even at lunch. Just be aware of the situation if you have any virus concerns. Review #3900

Spin dip
Colyn F.

I ordered the ribeye sandwich-it was alright flavor wise but the meat was thinner than a napkin and dryer than the desert. Fries just like the frozen ones from Walmart, actually if you want fries go to McDonalds, those ones are way better and you don't get a $2 up charge. The spin dip... please do NOT get me started with the spin dip, let's say you are better off not ordering it. The dip had no flavor and the chips were salty af. The side salad was good-you can't mess that one up. Drinks were good too, can't mess that one up either. These new owners are running this place to the ground, they are here for the money and they could care less if their customers are happy or not.

Grilled tenderloin. With tomato, lettuce, pickles, cheese and Mayo. Ps. That tomato was thick! Not a thin tenderloin.
Jada B.

Just keep on loving this bar more and more. Loving the craft beer options that keeps growing. Wonderful service! Food above just bar food! Want a huge fresh salad, they've got it! Fried food? Got it! I still swear that this is the best cheeseburger in town to me too!

Classic old storefront bar -- not smoky at all, fun!

Classic old storefront bar, not smoky at all, just stopped for a quick drink but heard great things. Last bar open in town late at night too, I'm told.

Inside with a few baseball signed jerseys.

This place has a real hometown feel. Locals eat drink and say hi to those of use just passing through. The food is good and they have a good microbrew selection.

Brutal service. Lost my credit card twice yet still charged me and charged 12$ for 10 small little pickle slices.

It is a little bar in Greencastle that has great sandwich type food. We had a ribeye sandwich and breaded Tenderloin. Great food!

My husband and I stopped in here last Saturday after eating brunch at Brunch Bird a few minutes…read moreaway. We planned to make an afternoon of it since it's an hour drive to Greencastle from Indy and stopped in at Lost Hollow for some beers before stopping in at a local antique shop and then heading home. It was the perfect way to spend a rainy Saturday afternoon. I'm not sure if they have a parking lot or not because we parked on the street. We were seated right away and our server was very sweet. It was very empty inside, just one other person sitting at the bar. Later on, a few more tables filled up with people coming in for lunch. My first beer was the Duke Lager and my husband got the Little Jeff Hefeweizen. We both really enjoyed them! Crisp and cold and refreshing. Their food menu looked really good too, but we had just eaten before coming in, so I would love to come back with friends for lunch or dinner and some beers. I ended up ordering a 2nd beer, the canned pumpkin imperial ale, and it was very rich and delicious. My husband thought it was a little too sweet, but I love pumpkin ales and loved it. The inside is spacious with lots of plants in the windows and a big stage, so I'm sure they get busy when there is live music. The bathrooms were big and very clean. They have a bid deck out front with comfortable looking patio furniture. We honestly would have sat outside even though it was a little bit chilly if it hadn't been raining. Highly recommend driving to Greencastle and supporting some of their local businesses before or after enjoying some delicious beers.

It wasn't clear what their hours were: the website said they were open until 4pm, while the hours posted Google and on the door said 2pm, and here on Yelp it says 3pm. They also had a paper sign taped to the door saying they would close that day at 1pm. Fortunately we made it there a half hour before closing, but it would probably be a good idea for them to sort that out across the various platforms. I ordered a latte with praline syrup which was nice (the cups and lids were kind of the best I've seen at a coffee shop, which is random, but worth mentioning) as well as a bagel and a donut. The donut was a chocolate long john and I asked the person taking my order if they were filled or unfilled. They said unfilled, which is what I wanted, but when I got back to my car, it was filled. My husband went in to place his own order, so he purchased another normal chocolate frosted donut and it was fine, but I would have been bummed if I had been on my own and gotten the wrong thing. My bagel was good and my husband enjoyed the coffee and pastry he ordered, plus my reject donut. ;) Looks like it'd be a nice place to stay and enjoy a meal or do some work, as there was a whole separate sitting area upstairs.

Anyway, walked into the cutest shop with wonderful employees ready to serve. Ordered a wonderful tasting espresso to go and a couple of donuts for the road back home. Tried the sprinkle birthday cake donut and a regular yeast donut. There were many options for bread choices and saw a large open space upstairs as well as a good amount of seating downstairs. Appears you can watch the bakery working while sitting as well, which is a nice add to any cafe/coffeeshop. PROS: Space is large and inviting Friendly staff Easy parking across the street or on the street Cake donut was great, needs a few more sprinkles but great Coffee taste was great, had a double espresso so definitely tasted the coffee Breakfast sandwiches were on the menu, did not try, but great option CONS: Yeast donut- depends on what you like. It is a thicker yeast donut not the light and fluffy I can eat 10 at a sitting type of yeast, but the taste was good HIGHLY RECOMMEND STOPPING INTO THIS ONE STOP SHOP!

Located almost directly off the registration desk for The Inn,the 2 West Bistro offers a $9.95 breakfast buffet that includes hot/cold items along with an "action station" for ready-to-make items such as pancakes, waffles and more. I ordered the buffet along with my usual unsweetened iced tea. At the time I arrived, the restaurant only had a few customers. Unlike my experience at The Fluttering Duck, service at 2 West was spot-on throughout my meal. My server was friendly, attentive, accommodating and offered me an iced tea to go in addition to my couple of refills while dining. The food ranged from decent to very good - the made-to-order waffle was the weak spot for me. It was bland and tasted like your standard issue frozen waffle. On the other hand, the buffet items included your standard breakfast items but they were tasty and I'd go back for them alone. My favorite? Probably the roasted potatoes. I also enjoyed bacon, sausage, a roll and other items. The 2 West accessibility is strong with an open concept dining area comprised of tables. The buffet areas depend upon one having motor skills, though I found it to be quite workable. I really liked 2 West Bistro, a perfect addition to The Inn at DePauw. While I did not get a chance to try out lunch/dinner options, the service alone would likely bring me back to try it again.
