    Breaded tenderloin with wedges
    Jamie D.

Average is the word for this place. We got the Buffalo chicken wrap with curly fries. The wrap was ok it was watered down and I'm guessing because of the lettuce. The curly fries and wedges were both good but how do you mess up fried food. My husband got the breaded tenderloin is ok. It was very small which isn't usually the normal. The beer wasnt ice cold either. There were a ton of people inside because of a dart league so the smoking was starting to get overwhelming. It was a hole in the wall which is usually my kind of place but the food wouldn't bring me back. The service was excellent!

    Grilled tenderloin

First impressions... meh. It is a smoking joint so if you do want a bar that you can smoke at here's one for ya. If you don't I'd definitely pass as the smoke is very prevalent! Service is very slow if you aren't a "local" guy. The regulars where getting top notch service but we not so much. Took longer for ordering and refills than other customers. Food service was very slow as well took well over 25 mins for a BLT and grilled tenderloin with only handful of other people in there. Food was good though and the saving grace of the experience! My tenderloin was well cooked, tasty and big! The BLT looked amazing and tasted good as well. We will try this again and do recommend trying if you are in the area!

Food is great and prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this place to everyone passing through Bainbridge, IN Tournament Euchre on Wednesday's starting at 7:00PM

We sat in a smoky restaurant waiting over 40 minutes for a burger and fish sandwich. We ended up leaving without eating.

We planned to make an afternoon of it since it's an hour drive to Greencastle from Indy and stopped in at Lost Hollow for some beers before stopping in at a local antique shop and then heading home. It was the perfect way to spend a rainy Saturday afternoon. I'm not sure if they have a parking lot or not because we parked on the street. We were seated right away and our server was very sweet. It was very empty inside, just one other person sitting at the bar. Later on, a few more tables filled up with people coming in for lunch. My first beer was the Duke Lager and my husband got the Little Jeff Hefeweizen. We both really enjoyed them! Crisp and cold and refreshing. Their food menu looked really good too, but we had just eaten before coming in, so I would love to come back with friends for lunch or dinner and some beers. I ended up ordering a 2nd beer, the canned pumpkin imperial ale, and it was very rich and delicious. My husband thought it was a little too sweet, but I love pumpkin ales and loved it. The inside is spacious with lots of plants in the windows and a big stage, so I'm sure they get busy when there is live music. The bathrooms were big and very clean. They have a bid deck out front with comfortable looking patio furniture. We honestly would have sat outside even though it was a little bit chilly if it hadn't been raining. Highly recommend driving to Greencastle and supporting some of their local businesses before or after enjoying some delicious beers.

The outside covered porch was perfect on a hot day with a good breeze. I had the Cubanish Sandwich with some really good pulled pork barbecue and the chips were homemade and old fashioned! The main floor dining like a lunch vibe, but it turned out to be a cozy choice. For appetizers, we started with the cornbread after our focaccia was unfortunately not the best. Seemed to be over-proofed. The cornbread was absolutely phenomenal and a must-have! A special shoutout to our waitress, Arya, who noticed our disappointment with the focaccia and generously brought us the cornbread on the house. That kind of service is truly memorable! I also had the beets and peaches salad, which was refreshing but a tad overdressed. Still, I couldn't resist finishing the entire dish. For my main course, I ordered the lasagna, and I can confidently say it was one of the best I've ever had. It wasn't overloaded with cheese and instead complemented by mushrooms and pesto, and surprisingly light on the stomach. My husband chose the filet and rated it an 8/10, saying he thoroughly enjoyed it. We were so full by the end that we skipped dessert. The decor of the restaurant is beautiful, and the staff was incredibly attentive throughout our meal. The only downside was the atmosphere; coming from Chicago, we expected a more bustling vibe on a Thursday night. It seems Indianapolis is a bit quieter during the week. Overall, we had a delightful dining experience, and hats off to Arya for her exceptional service!

We were taken to a booth and the seats and table were wet from the quick wipe it had just been given. It wasn't just wet, there were also lots of crumbs that had been left behind. As I looked around, I noticed that the floors were littered with trash and food also. Straw wrappers, napkins and bits of food were present under each and every table. I understand that during a busy rush, the staff probably can't take the time to sweep, but even after the rush nobody bothered to address it. There was a gentleman bussing tables who stayed "on patrol", though. He circled the dining room at regular intervals and made sure that dishes were cleared in a timely manner. I see you, sir! We were greeted right away and our drink orders were taken. That young lady was very kind and upbeat, which was quite welcoming. When she returned with our beverages, she offered to take our orders, but we weren't ready. And just like that, she ditched us! J/K, but kind of for real. A different waitress appeared and took over from there. She was efficient and took good care of us, but in a way, she wasn't as warm. She was no-nonsense and straight to the point. Our food was decent. My husband had The Special, which is a basic breakfast plate (eggs, French toast and bacon), I had the turkey club with fries, and my in-laws both had phily steak sandwiches with fries. The food didn't come out super fast, but that gave us time to settle-in and not feel rushed. It was quite nice and a change from what my husband and I are accustomed to where we live. We had a leisurely meal and caught up with old friends who wandered in and out during our meal. That was another clear sign that this place is a local favorite.
