I get my acrylic nails done here and I just never seem to be impressed. The place looks run down inside and out, I really don't know why I keep coming back, I just live really close. Last time I was there I saw a huge disgusting house centipede that kept hiding under the pedicure chairs. They keep most things sterile but the buffing block is reused and the big fluffy brush they brush your hands off with is never cleaned and always has dead skin and nail bits in it, really gross... I'd say the prices are average. Idk just don't go here to get acrylic nails done because you will never be 100% satisfied. It seemed to be impossibe to get gorgeous nails and even more impossible to find nail techs that don't openly express a rabid hatred for the clients. I mean, even if they are clucking back and forth in a language which you cannot understand, it's not hard to decipher when they are clacking about you or the girl next to you. I have heard this complaint over and over and over from so many women, I was beginning to think it was just an accepted practice. But I digress . . . Went in yesterday for mani pedi and, as other reviews claim, this was the best experience ive had. Nails were done absolutely perfectly. They really are pros at this: fast and efficient but 100% gentle (I usually experience pain/discomfort during pedicures). Sad that I'm not from VA otherwise I would never go anywhere else! read more

I came here for a pedicure at 5pm without an appointment and was seated immediately. They have a ton of OPI colors to choose from and they are organized by color which makes it very easy to find the shade that you want. Everyone was very friendly and the place was nice and quiet - perfect after a long day of work. The price is on par with other McLean nail salons. (Oh how I miss Arlington prices) My favorite part about the pedicure is that you got 2 massages!! 1 with the salt scrub and then another one with the lotion. This is the longest pedi massage I have experienced in McLean so I will definitely come back for that! They also wrap your legs with hot towels while they paint your toe nails, and since they weren't too crowded, they let me stay in the massage chair while I waited for my toes to dry. (I do wish the massage chairs were a bit stronger though) Parking is easy because they have their own private lot with about 10 spots available. I will definitely be coming back! read more

Great place, and I have been to many in McLean. The shop is neat and clean, the ladies charming and friendly. They do talk in Vietnamese, but they don't chatter away, just seem to be asking each other for advice or assistance, and never have made me think they are chatting about customers. A little girl is usually there, quiet and well behaved and all the technicians mother her. My husband, not easy to please, has come with me and says it is the only place he has not been clipped or ended up with bleeding fingers. I'm eager to try a massage and they will do any amount of time you want, 20 minutes, 35, etc. I'll go back often. Update from 2014. I am still going to Classy Nails, although I no longer live close by. They conitnue to do a fine job and the polish stays on (I have had manicures at other local salons and two days later the nail polish just peels off in one piece). If too busy, they will call their second shop (same manager, owner) and get you in there, with the same attnetion and care. I went here to get shellac manicure for the first time after a friend of mine had been raving about hers (she went to a salon in Silver Spring). This friend isn't the type to rave about her beauty routine, so I thought I should give it a try. I didn't catch the tech's name, but I think she might have been the owner. The manicure was ok, but started peeling after a couple days. I went back to have some nails fixed for free. However, I didn't find it to be worth the money. I have been going to Classy Nails for the last 2 months. The customer service is GREAT! I get the same services done just about every visit, Mani/Pedi. My gel manicure is always done so well and my feet are smooth and feel great! I would dock half of a star because they don't offer any nail extension options, but everything else is so great! I had to go to another salon to get my nails done for a wedding that I was in but they still weren't as great as these ladies. Overall, great! read more

Classy Nails is my new favorite nail shop in the northern Virginia area. After going to a shop that charged me $80 for a crappy job I heard from a local to check this place. For one they do exactly what you expect them to do. A good and efficient job. I got gel for my first time there and it was $30 and was worth it. My nail technician and the other technicians were very friendly and made me feel rift at home. I was only there for a hour too. Their quality of work is better than other places I ever been to. This is the type of places where there is no frills, you get your nails done and go, so don't expect free mimosas! They take their time to do a good job and don't rush you out the door. This group of wonderful ladies is putting the art back in nail art work and fun of it as well. Prices are $15 for a basic no gel nails and $30 for gel nails. Overall I'm very happy with my trip here and will be back again soon! read more

Awful experience for a long time client. They don't assigne to you the manicurist or massage person you think is your best fit for you and you made an appointment with, because the moody boss has decided that another one must get more tips this day. They smile at you and kill you in your back, the atmosphere is rotten by their little mean politics,and the client is the loser. Worse, the massages. The room is located behind the telephone and you cannotw rest, the "therapist" does not listen to your needs (when she understand 2 words of English (like outch when she hurts you) there is no light so you get undressed in the dark and slip on the multiple objects that are left on the floor, there is nowhere to hung your clothes, the boss enters the room in the middle of the session shouting orders to the unprofessional massage "therapist"' and the boom boxe never works properly. I was finacially and illegaly penalized because I chose to stick with my manicurist who was not the one the crew decided to honor that day, the boss not appreciating the I took so much liberty. The girls don't understand the color you want, the advise you give in order to get a minimum satisfaction. They are week located but clients are doormats. read more

Have been getting my nails done here for 5 years. They are dependable, do nice work with pedi/mani, & have great massage chairs. Rarely do I have to wait, but if I do, then I go next door to Betsy's consignment shop. I bring my own "healthy" nail polish without acetone (Acquarella) that needs no base coat or top coat & can't be used with regular nail polish remover--these ladies don't mind the change (vs other nail salon techs in the area). Only change I suggest is that behind the massage chairs could be cleaned up a bit. Sometimes you can add tip to your credit card & sometimes you can't. read more

It is a typical "downtown" McLean dated establishment - but it is clean, well priced and no nonsense. They have large selection of shellac colors as well as the OPI gel. Not impressed. Went to Classy Nails for a manicure after a couple of recommendations from friends and family. The few pros include: overall friendly staff, plenty of parketing, and I did not need an appointment. The price for a manicure ($15) seems average. Cons: - limited selection of polishes (many of them old) - Not the cleanest salon - The woman who did my nails was very rough and at one point I had to retract my hand at one point because she pinched me so hard with the cuticle cutters - in my all my years of getting manicures that has never happened. She also painted over my cuticles and onto my skin. She did clean it up, but that resulted in using a lot of acetone which left my fingers really dry. Overall - messy paint job - I got the manicure last night and already have a chipped nail Perhaps I just had a bad experience, but I will not be going back. read more

I had gel nails done and they were fabulous could have lasted three weeks if I weren't so hard on my nails all the time... oh, and surprisingly they are great at massages too. This place is amazing the prices are rlly affordable and they take their time and do not rush. I really like the male nail technician he is the best by far. This may not be the nicest looking place in Mclean but it sure does an amazing job. They will do anything to help you and their nails are perfection. Stay away!!!! This place is not clean. I watched them reuse implements after clients left without properly sanitizing them; they think spraying rubbing alcohol does the trick. Their foot baths are gross and made my skin peel the next day. Horrible, horrrible place. read more

The service was horrible, they have limited colors to select from. First off the lady who did my nails (didn't catch her nail was never told) Told me to hurry up and pick my color because she doesn't have that much time, I should've walked out of there right then but I didn't listen to myself. Second off this had to be the first time the nail technician did acrylics because they were horrible, she put on way more acrylic powder than needed and she got acrylic all over my fingers. She didn't shape my nails the right way even though I corrected her plenty of times of how I wanted them and even showed her a picture of how they should look. I knew this also have to be her first time because two other employees were watching over her while she was working on my nails , on one hand nails were longer than my other hands. Over all it was just a shifty job and I should've walked out when she first spoke to me in that tone. Also it's pretty rude that she kept taking phone calls while doing my nails. I learned my lesson today and I will never go back there again , I also had to go to another nail salon for them to fix my nails. read more

I had been here a few times before and liked it. Last spring I contracted a nasty nail infection along with a wart under my nail!! I also noticed the girl cut too far into my nail--beyond my protective barrier. Its been months and the doctor was finally able to get rid of the infection, but now I'm having painful laser treatments to get rid of the wart.
