I've never used a auto broker before and was skeptical this would go smoothly as I usually try to have friends or family check vehicles out for me but we all know how that can be. I found VPS on Yelp and after doing some research by visiting his website along with the many reviews on Google/Yelp I decided to take the plunge. I contacted Dave via text late on a Saturday and was texted back that same night. He ask for a link to the vehicle I was interested then without asking pulled the Carfax of the truck and showed that it had been in a minor accident. We discussed more and I decided I was serious and ready to make the purchase. Dave swiftly took over and made an appointment with the seller, scheduled a basic vehicle inspection that included a diagnostic check as well as 10-20 photos of the body and undercarriage including a short video of the engine idling that I specifically requested. I then proceeded to negotiate a price with the seller that we eventually locked in. I was able to send the funds directly and securely witch gave me added piece of mind. Dave met with the seller got all the paperwork taken cared of (notary, title, bill of sale, etc) as well scheduled/coordinated a new windshield replacement that the seller agreed to take care of prior to selling me the vehicle. Lastly Dave was able to clean, prepare and store the vehicle safely till we could schedule shipping to me. Dave went above and beyond my expectations! He was willing to help with whatever was needed. Out-of-State Buyers Beware! Seller/Owner (Brian) did not disclose significant cosmetic defects with…read morethe vehicle (Ferrari California). He initially asked for a cash deposit (cashapp, Zelle, etc) to hold the vehicle until I could arrive 4 days later. Thankfully I used a credit card (disputable vs. cash). Upon arriving I found major cosmetic defects with the vehicle that he brushed off as nothing (the perimeter of both headlights were scratched/crazed and the entire dash was delaminated and puffy). The vehicle was not even washed or detailed and the weather had been clear for several days prior to my arrival. After seeing the true condition of the car I was not happy so I decided to pass on it. He refused to refund my significant deposit even though I never agreed or signed a purchase agreement and he never disclosed the deposit was non-refundable (otherwise I would not have sent one). This is a very deceptive and unfair business practice. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SELLER! He is NOT honest! Any response to this review by his company would be lies!

Rather than making the situation frustrating or making me feel like I had wasted my time, Ryan adjusted quickly and worked to find another option. That flexibility and willingness to keep working with me made a big difference. One thing I would tell anyone considering Ash Auto, especially someone rebuilding their credit or coming out of bankruptcy, is don't be afraid to ask questions and don't be afraid to speak up about what you want. Your financial situation doesn't mean you shouldn't expect a good vehicle and a fair deal. Do your homework, understand the terms, and make sure you are comfortable with what you're agreeing to. At the end of the day, Ash Auto is still a business, so being an informed customer is important. I also believe this is especially important when you're rebuilding after bankruptcy. The vehicle you choose may be the vehicle you're living with for several years while your credit recovers, so don't feel pressured to simply accept the first option presented. Make sure you're comfortable with the vehicle, the numbers, and the overall deal. I can now also speak to the delivery and post-sale experience. The vehicle was promised for delivery on Monday, 9/21, but actually arrived on Sunday, 9/20, which was a pleasant surprise. The delivery was simple and hassle-free. The driver confirmed my identity, handed over the keys, reviewed the vehicle with me, and made sure I was comfortable before leaving. The vehicle arrived in good shape and, honestly, in better condition than I expected. I did notice two mechanical issues fairly quickly. They weren't cosmetic, and while I was surprised they hadn't been disclosed, I also understand that they may not have been known to the dealership beforehand. I contacted Ryan, and he responded and connected me with Jason, the Service Director. Jason was professional and helpful and immediately worked to get the issues addressed. He gave me the option of having the vehicle inspected and repaired at a local dealer or certified repair facility of my choice and even offered to assist if I had any difficulty getting the repairs handled. That follow-up was important to me. Used vehicles aren't always going to be perfect, and I think the real test of a dealership is how they respond when something unexpected comes up. So far, Ash Auto has responded professionally and made a genuine effort to help resolve the issues rather than leaving me to figure everything out on my own. I'm still relatively early into ownership, so I don't want to overstate my experience or make claims about the long term that I can't verify yet. But based on the buying process, the delivery, and the way the initial service concerns have been handled, I am very satisfied with the professionalism and customer service I've received from Ryan, Jason, and Ash Auto. For anyone dealing with bankruptcy, rebuilding credit, or a difficult financial situation, I would recommend giving Ash Auto an opportunity to work with you. Just remember to do your homework, ask questions, understand the numbers, and make sure the vehicle and terms work for you. Overall, I'm cautiously optimistic.
