I used to live in Bristol when I attended Roger Williams University, and this pizza spot was a part of my regular restaurant rotations. It didn't hurt that there was a beautiful young girl working there just a few years younger than myself that I was trying to score a date with... Lol! I never dated a girl, but I ate plenty of sandwiches and pizzas there during my quest. I don't live in the town any longer and don't get out that way too often, but I stopped in recently as I was passing through to grab a sandwich. I ordered my old standby Meatball and sausage sandwich that I used to love so much years ago. When I receive my sandwich, it wasn't as good as I remembered it, but I think they have sold this restaurant over the years to new owners who may have changed the recipe a bit. The flavor of the sauce wasn't bad but it was definitely off for what I remember from years ago. The quantity of meatballs and sausage was also less than I remember from years ago. The service was fine and the price wasn't expensive, but I was just kind of disappointed in the sandwich Because of the change in flavor and amount of food I received for my money. I'm not saying that I wouldn't go back there again, but it's not somewhere that I would drive out of my way for unless I was in the neighborhood again. Plenty of parking in the parking lot and easy to find on the main road. Next time I visit there, I'm going to try the pizza to see if it's as good as it was when I was back in college or if they've changed that recipe also. Disappointed! I've been in this place a few other times but let me tell you why I will never be back. Ordered a roast beef and cheese sandwich. They did not have provolone and other essential items. I ordered a small, it cost $14. I arrived 1130am to beat the rush, waited 15mins. Lastly, sandwich was toasted with mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, I wasn't asked in advance. Sandwich was served rock hard on outside and mushy nasty on the inside. Sandwich was not cut in half... this may all sound petty, but the place was dead and there was no rush. Today I ordered a SMALL Italian, lightly toasted, and the chef; toasted my lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and peppers with cheese and then salami on top. Worst experience I have ever had for delivery. Driver shows up and hands me my (correct) receipt and (wrong) food that wasn't mine and walked away. I called him back and he said he would go get it. I called to store to see what's going on and to cancel the order as I no longer trusted the food handed to me because of that. I was told another driver had been driving around with my order. Umm that doesn't make sense. I am speaking to the manager whom tells me I'm over reacting and my food will arrive in the time allotted. Well the time wasn't an issue. It was trusting I was being handed food that wasn't handed to another person in error. What a mess. This man then starts badgering me and tells me to basically pound sand and they will not cancel the order. While I was on the phone and he was rudely telling me he could do nothing the food shows up and we refuse the food as I am canceling and want a refund for health reasons. Oh my! We ordered a medium BBQ chicken pizza and a large cheese pizza from here yesterday because our favorite pizza place is now closed on Sunday's. BIG mistake!! This was by far the worst pizza I have ever had. How do you make a crappy cheese pizza?!? There was basically no cheese on it, the crust tasted stale and it was tough to chew. I think the 4th star is for nostalgia. As a RWU student, there is no way to avoid having a pizza here. The place is sort of small, but actually still does table service! That means you actually get a waiter/waitress to assist you. Haven't been in years, but if things haven't changed, the owners always hire a outrageously pretty girl to serve pizza, that really should be spending their time modeling, rather than working here. The pizza has a a bit thicker of crust than most places, but the quality is good. They have a bunch of toppings to choose from, most of which wont cost you an arm and a leg to get a bunch, which is what I normally did. I suggest the tomato and feta pizza. Oh and when you ask for extra cheese, you definitely get extra cheese! Always frequented by college kids and locals alike. There is a tiny little pizza bar/bar at the front that is ALWAYS hogged by locals, cops,or truck drivers and they all have their eyes glued to the TV...or the waitress' rear end. The tenders were bland and reminded me of Friendly's. The chourico and chips was dry and pedestrian. Perhaps it was because I was by myself, but the wait was painful, and while I'm aware that Bristol is a college town, I don't think the cashier's sexual conquest from the night before was appropriate lunch conversation. My only complaint is that last time I ordered the pizza, they gave it to the wrong person and when I went to pick it up it was not there.
