THE OFFICIAL Sid's Sunrise Breakfast Guys RATING for .. The Classic Diner ( Frazer, PA) 1. THE GOLDEN STANDARD (Taste & Execution) [Rating: 4.5/5] The lowdown: Solid breakfast with very good service on a gloomy damp Thursday morning. 2. THE SUNRISE VIBE (Atmosphere) [Rating: 4.3/5] The lowdown: A little dark in the front area and the middle area was bright. A bit tight walking when crowded in between tables. We noticed this for a lady with a baby stroller and for a special needs person. 3. THE MORNING FLOW (Service Speed) [Rating: 4.8/5] The lowdown: An extremely good happy waitress who visited often for coffee & water & recommendations. 4. THE SIGNATURE FACTOR (Uniqueness) [Rating: 4.4/5] The lowdown: Solid Eggs Benedict customized Philly style w scrapple. The apple sausage is also very tasty! 5. THE VALUE-TO-VIBE RATIO (Worth it?) [Rating: 4/5] The lowdown: Good value with portion sizes and atmosphere in the middle part of the restaurant! FINAL SCORE: 4.4/5 YOKES The Verdict: A very solid place for breakfast where food & service was spot on! Worth a visit with a highly positive recommendation from Sid's Sunrise Breakfast Guys ! #SidAndSunrise #TheBreakfastGuys #BreakfastRating #BreakfastReview #MorningVibes

Egg Platter w/ Apple sausage and bagel

On advice of our Airbnb host we went to Classic Diner to start our Thanksgiving week vacation. It was a great suggestion! We were quickly seated in the charming country home decor. Team servers were all friendly and attentive. Food came out very quickly. I had scrambled eggs with apple sausage. The hint of apple in the sausage was uniquely delicious. The everything bagel sub for toast was...everything. Plenty of food and great service at a reasonable cost gives Classic Diner 5 stars!

I'm visiting some friends in Philly and found Classic Diner on maps looking for a brunch spot. The three of us tried it together for the first time this morning, and loved it! It's a little crowded but comfortable and clean. I was able to get gluten free nutella stuffed french toast which was sooo good. My friends got (non gf) stuffed french toasts, and one side each, plus we got two cappuccinos and a chai with almond milk. The total including tip was $80 which is really not bad for the quality.

4.5 stars Good food. I had the Italian grilled chicken. Sandwich; it had a lot of sauce which leaked and made it difficult to eat) A bit tight on space Has a bakery

I have had breakfast here twice in June. My dog is being treated for sarcoma at nearby Blue Pearl Malvern PA. Atmosphere is cozy. Servers are always friendly and super efficient. My dining partner said her breakfast was the best she has ever had. The coffee is good. I ordered both times an omelette with spinach, white cheddar, herbs, and portobellos and homefries no toast. My dining partner ordered lump crab eggs benedict. We shared one slice of french toast on the side. It was very good.

Classic Eggs Benedict!

My first time here was not a disappointment. Wait staff was courteous and polite, no rush at all in ordering. I often try dishes I enjoy at other diners, this time was the classic Eggs Benedict. Told them I might be here a bit (my wife had a doctor appointment locally) and they said no problem at all. Ambiance is not what you expect from a diner, rather, it felt like a welcoming Bistro environment. Would definitely recommend whenever you're in Malvern!

All the food was delicious at very reasonable prices! In the portobello sandwich the roasted peppers were amazing but the mushroom was too thick. The french toast was fantastic however there were a lot of bananas. The prosciutto sandwich was delicious, the bread was crunchy, the pesto was great, and the mozzarella was super moist but there was too much prosciutto I couldn't eat it all. The corned beef and pulled pork sandwiches were good, no complaints but nothing spectacular either. The service was a little bit slow but it was very busy during lunch time which speaks to the quality of the restaurant. Overall the word is abundance, but I will say that's better than not enough!

Food was WONDERFUL! The portion was huge and everything was FRESH! The service was great and the ambiance was cozy. I will definitely return for brunch... all the plates on everyone's tables looked amazing.

*Indoor dining review* I've heard about "The Classic Diner" for quite awhile now, finally got a chance to try it. For the most part, everything's really good apart from couple minor issues. Restaurant: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Food: 4/5 Parking: Free parking lot (Limited Parking) ~Restaurant~ Restaurant itself looked small from the outside, but they have good seating arrangement, you don't feel cramped once you're sitting down inside. Alternatively they have couple tables outdoor (covered) for anyone that wants to nice weather outside. I would also suggest going early, so the wait isn't too long. We went around 9:30AM and were seated right away. ~Service~ Staff are friendly and somewhat attentive. ~Food~ All the food we ordered are pretty good. What we ordered: -Omelette with avocado, salsa, sun dried tomatoes and pepper jack cheese. (Eggs and most of the fillings are cooked nicely and very flavorful, bread is nicely toasted and buttered. But the cheese was not melted properly, so it turns into just a glob of cheese, I would most likely skip on the cheese next time. The potatoes are slightly overcooked, a bit tough. -Bacon (Can't go wrong with bacon, cooked nicely) -Belgian waffle with Berries. (It is good, apart from Waffle is a little dense) -Belgian waffle with Banana and Walnut. (Same story. After having some delicious light and fluffy Belgian waffles from another breakfast/brunch restaurant, I think we were expecting the same) In conclusion, I would go again, since the food is pretty good for the most part, service is good. Although I might modify my order a bit next time around.

We tried out the classic diner yesterday for brunch/lunch before leaving Malvern - ordered chicken tenders, crab cake sandwich, and a tuna melt. I was eyeing one of the ahi tuna sandwiches (the BLT sounded great) but opted for the crab cake instead. We got everything to-go, but our hotel was very close and we ate everything almost immediately. Tuna melt is the winner here and really pulls the weight for the review - best I've ever had. Tuna salad was fresh tasting and a little on the dry side (without tons if mayo, but that's how I prefer it) and was SMOTHERED in melty, cheesy goodness and topped with tomatoes. Open faced, and one side of the sandwich is enough for one person. I'm going to dream about this tuna melt and need to find one close to me in Western PA. Crab cake was big, but overall a little disappointing. It was very soft and the crab was very finely ground. On the sandwich, it just kinda tasted like you were eating mush. The sauce was delicious though. For almost $19 for the sandwich, I was left wanting more. Tenders were ok- they're homemade and panko crusted and fried which was the draw for me. They were a little dry but good. I subbed ranch instead of bbq and wasn't a big fan of the ranch- it was fluffy and seemed to be very heavy on the sour cream but light on the seasoning. Staff was very friendly and food was done quick despite the restaurant being busy at lunch time. Would go back for the tuna melt in a heartbeat next time i'm in Malvern, but I'll be skipping the crab cake and tenders.

Eggs Benedict with Pork Roll

Classic, but upscale, breakfast. I substituted Canadian bacon for pork roll which resulted in a perfect Eggs Benedict. A crowded restaurant space which is just fine by me.

11/24/22 I've never seen a more beautiful presentation of Turkey.

My husband raved about all his food! The pizza was made in a pizza oven so it had great flavor. My sister had nothing but good things to say about her large portion of chicken and waffles. The pretzel bites may be basic to some but this basic Betty enjoyed them, their presentation and the mustard and cheese dip that went along. Our waiter was attentive the entire time. He was helpful when guiding us through the menu. Our cups were always filled and our empty plates were removed in a timely fashion to make room for things and we were not cluttered.

The Good: wedge salad and the baby spinach salad were wonderful. My wife had the Diver scallops and said that they were cooked beautifully and the risotto was excellent. The Irritating: the bathroom. One toilet, urinal for the men's room so there was constantly a line. I ordered a dogfishhead and it took 15min. The Dissappointing- I got the ribeye special. ($44) Steak was cooked well but had little to no flavor for a ribeye. Asparagus was undercooked and the puréed roasted red pepper mashed potatoes were just not a good pairing. The special was just a bad choice I guess. We will be back for another chance but I think I will stick with the regular menu items. We took the whole family back for a small graduation celebration. Only 6 of us. The Food was excellent! Wife again had the diver scallops and again they were delicious. Son had the short rib burger and just destroyed it! One order of the lamb chops- succulent & perfectly cooked. Two orders of short ribs which had a very deep and flavorful sauce that was delicious. I had the seafood special which was a fra-diavalo with shrimp, scallops, crab in a red sauce over penne. The sauce was a little thick for me but was spiced beautifully. Now for the downside. Ray, our server was polite, soft spoken, and forgetful. Multiple times drinks were asked for and were forgotten. Once again- IF THE GLASS LEAVES THE TABLE, GET A NEW GLASS, not the same one with the old lemons in it!! The bathroom situation hasn't improved but overall we would go back.
