Suhk was our driver. He did great. The next nights we had Ramon and he was a total jerk. We rent these busses for our high school teams and this might be a shock to Ramon but teenage girls get a little excited sometimes. The bus wasn't even ready to roll out and the girls were excited about where they wanted to eat. They were loud but nothing out of the ordinary,just excited. Ramon screamed at them to be quiet and sit down or he wouldn't be stopping to eat. Totally unprofessional. Inappropriate. And honestly, someone who behaves like that should not be allowed to drive school age kids. Maybe he should stick to the trips taking seniors to the casino. Most of our experiences were fine but this trip turned a solid 4 star company into a one star. Really bad experience. read more

School rented the bus to take them to a school band performance out of town a hour away. When they arrived the storage door wouldn't open when pushing the button to open. Asked the driver to use the key to open because noticed key holes on the doors he said he did not bring the key and usually don't bring the keys with them . When talking to the driver he informed us he didn't even have a have a class A license he only had class B which isn't the correct license for driving more then 15 passengers. Driver was rude, i understand it was frustrating but it was also frustrating for us parents that drove a hour away to see our kids perform. Driver should know what to do In these situations but instead the kids were forced not to perform and return home. read more

Our driver is great,very courteous and is trying to accommodate us . I am currently on the double decker bus going to the Fresno State vs USC game. Unfortunately, the air conditioning system on the 1st floor is not working properly. The air is on but hot air is coming out. Passengers are having a hard time breathing. Suggestions: Please ensure air conditioning system is working during the hot summer. Please live up to your advertisement. You advertise your European double decker bus with sun shades. **This review is for a 14 passenger van** I am very surprised at the reviews here on Yelp; it almost made me not want to use Classic Charter for my wedding. We rented a house up in the Tehachapi hills for the Bridal party and we needed a ride to the reception. I called Classic Charter for a quote and it was easy-peasy. They rent the vans by the hour but can charge per 15 minutes. I knew it would be difficult to rally up the troops after the wedding was over so to have this option put me at ease; I wouldn't have to shell out cash for a full hour in case my drunk friends couldn't assemble! The booking process was fairly simple. They require a deposit to hold the van and then the balance payment two weeks prior to the date. I booked super close to my wedding date but they were flexible with me. Now for the day of pickup: I couldn't have stressed the importance of the driver allowing ample time to get up the mountain. The mileage seems low but when you crawl up the mountain at 15-20 mph it can take a while. The dispatcher entered the notes into her system and to my relief the driver was there early! The van was beautiful, clean, spacious, and the A/C worked. Being in a 50 lbs dress (obviously a slight exaggeration) this was super important! We all went into the van and onto the reception we went. The driver was very professional in demeanor and appearance. Another plus. Once the night was over, as suspected, my friends were impossible to rally into the van. As you can imagine, trying to get 10 drunk people into a van was a circus. After we were all in the van the shenanigans continued but the driver remained calm and collected and just kept driving. I was feeling really bad for him but his professional demeanor put me at ease. This is so important; you don't want the bride stressing out! I highly recommend Classic Charter for your multi passenger needs. I would use them again in a heart beat. read more

They get a one star because of the failure to understand their own inventory. two days ago I sent in a request for a charter van for my family to go to San Jose. I got an email with a quote that was to good to be true, emailed the company and they responded that I was quoted for the wrong vehicle, which only seats 7 so we couldn't use it anyways, but they fixed the vehicle problem and sent an actual quote sheet. I said yes lets do it,email responds says sending quote. 5 min later I get another email that states all the vans are now gone. So I call and they inform me that they never had a van that was available. and that someone put the description in the computer. In those days dealing with this company I lost other rentals. I am now facing the reality of telling my dying mother that her dream bday family trip is a no go all because Classic Charter couldn't get their classic act together. Unprofessional to the max, rental car companies at the airport have their sh*t together than this place. read more

My colleagues and I have used this company for years and each year it gets worse. This year the bus TVs don't work upstairs but does downstairs and they knew about it, but failed to tell us of the problem. This is a major issue when you are taking a group of students!!! The heater does not work downstairs so either you burn up upstairs or freeze downstairs. Chairs don't work properly on either upstairs nor downstairs. Driver was late to pick us up (never received a call) and when we had to call the dispatch she was rude saying it's only ten minutes late when in reality it bumped our schedule back and we had to adjust it. They should get a negative star if allowed! My recommendation is that you would not use them at all!!! read more

Contracts mean nothing at Classic Charter! Back in April, I contacted Classic Charter to arrange transportation services to and from LAX. I was quoted and accepted a price of $198.25 each way. I signed and returned the contracts that were sent along with the deposit. On June 1, I sent the remaining balance due for our trip. Then on June 25, six days prior to our trip, I received a call from Lisette to confirm our itinerary and inform me that the price I was quoted and had paid in full was wrong and they would no longer be honoring it. The next day, I contacted Lisette again and asked if the company could compromise with us since we realized it was a mistake that would cost them a lot of money. I was basically laughed at when I proposed to them that we would take care of our transportation to LAX if they would just honor the contract to pick us up. She stated that she would call me back and never did. I called back and was told the owner said no. I reminded her that we had a contract and had paid in full which to them meant nothing at this point. Today, I called to speak with the owner to see if we could work something out since we are four days away from departure with no options right now and after being placed on hold was told that he wouldn't speak with me. This is why we will never be contacting Classic Charter ever again. What type of business doesn't honor their contracts and won't even at least speak with a customer on the phone? read more
