First time going on a bus tour with this particular company. Vince was our driver. Bus wasn't full so the four of us had our own seats. Next time we plan on reserving the seats that had a table. No complaints at all. Plan on going on many more tours with Golden Eagle. Fun day. read more

Bus broke down on our trip and they said they'd send a different bus asap. We were 2hrs away from Fresno and it took 4hrs for replacement bus. Their people were like, "yeah, busses break down. Deal with it." It must be a regular occurrence for them and for that I give them one star. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. The booking process was easy. Rachel saved the day and was able to snag us a bus for a field trip with 46 high school students. Her words "I'll shoot the contract your way right now." 9 days later and two left voicemails I still had no contract (red flag #1). I finally get through, she says Oh yes I'll shoot it your way right now. TWO DAYS later (red flag #2) it finally shows up in my email. This is now ONE week before our scheduled trip. Emails says "SIGN AND RETURN." Does not say how to return, I will admit I also did not clarify but I felt as though I had badgered her enough to send the contract. I signed it, gave it to our business office. They cut the check and said they mailed everything the next day, 5 days ago. We're local, 30 minutes from fresno. They should have had it next day (friday) or saturday. I called and emailed today (monday) to make sure were good, got NO RESPONSE. Finally get through at 5pm, Rachel says you never sent the contract out and I no longer have that bus. Apparently I am at fault because I didn't EMAIL it back to them, I'm sorry.. you were SO reliable with email the first time around. So now I sit here trying to cancel a field trip with 46 students and crossing my fingers they don't show up at 5am. I am absolutely baffled that you were able to hold the reservation for OVER A WEEK while you took your sweet time to send us the contract. Then POOF gone. I booked them for camp and the ride there was fine, our driver Ray was really nice and was on time. We got to our destination on time and he knew where he was going. Coming back from camp back to Fresno, our other driver was late 1 hr and the kids were standing in the cold waiting for the bus. There was fog that day so I understand they have to go slow but to be an hour late is too long. Most buses will arrive at least 15 mins of the arrival time just in case but or driver totally missed that mark. I hope they will be on time the next time I book hem for events. read more

Had the first of 2 trips not gone smoothly, I would be looking for a way to give negative stars. We hired them for two Fresno-LA trips, the first was fine, the second a disaster. The bus was creaky and made a very loud squeaking noise over every bump. The driver tried to fix it, but ended up disconnecting something, which switched the bus to "sporty" ride. Great. We got just short of the Grapevine to find it closed. While the weather was not their fault, the office knew the road was closed before we left. The driver was clueless, which meant backtracking and a total of 9 HOURS on the bus! When I called to complain about the lack of GPS and support for the driver, they never returned my call, on the second try, the owner actually yelled at me then hung up the phone! After calling back, I was stunned to learn the part about knowing the road was closed, which would have saved us 3 hours. I asked for a discount. The result? $100 off of a $1,300 bill! If you're looking to charter a coach, I'd look elsewhere first. read more

I would rate zero stars if that were an option. Left our students without transportation to their Disneyland workshop. We had a confirmed departure time of 2:15 and as of 5 o'clock, no one showed up. Our students were left without this opportunity of a lifetime that they have been working toward and looking forward to all year. I hope our District never uses this company again. read more

It was our first time chartering with GEC. Our school has gone with another company the past 3 years but we decided to switch charter companies this year. We had 4 buses to take 5th graders to Monterey and San Juan Bautista. All 4 buses were clean, the DVD's worked as did the monitors, the driver's were safe, professional and did not mind or seem to be bothered with the singing going on inside the buses. We had a wonderful experience and have already locked in 3 more trip dates for the Spring. Thank you Golden Eagle Charter! read more

Golden Eagle charters buses and also sponsors tours of its own. They offered a $25 trip to Pier 39. My wife and I, joined by three of my family decided to try Golden Eagle for the first time. Office staff was young but very friendly, unfortunately, the day of the trip, another staff member was 20 minutes late for boarding, which is first come first serve. By the time she arrived about 30 people were waiting to board. Bus driver was loud and brassy but very friendly and a good driver. The interior and exterior of the bus were nice enough but the suspension was shot, which you really felt when the road was rough. Overall, my wife and I enjoyed SF and overlooked the negatives, but my family did't. They likely won't travel with Golden Eagle again. My wife and I likely would - but dammit Rachel - be on time! read more

My husband & I booked 3 buses w Golden Eagle Charter for our wedding. It was a breeze. Working/coordinating with Rachel was wonderful. She listened to our needs & "special" requests. She gave us a tour of the building and of the buses. We were able to pick out which buses we wanted to use for our guests. On the day of the wedding the drivers looked sharp. The drivers well well groomed & dressed and provided excellent customer service. 1 of our buses had a wheelchair lift which was the best decision we made for our elders as many of them had a hard time going up the steps. The driver always had a smile and never looked bothered when having to operate the lift. If you are looking for a bus company I recommend Golden Eagle Charter. read more
