Nice old school diner! Think this place is busy at breakfast time, but I stopped in for take out to take to Arlington Resevoir. I tried their meatball sub and fries.. pretty good! Under $10 and very quick. The woman who took my order was extremely nice. Will definitely be back for bfast.

I've ordered from this place a few times and haven't been disappointed until today, they forgot all the toast for my order and better yet I ordered the hash and eggs special, has a few bites and had found a bug in my food! I'm beyond disgusted of this place and when I call to speak to a manager, they're "busy". I'm never going back to this place again! Like what the fuck is that!? A baby scorpion!?

Great place! Ordered Irish eggs Benedict with corned beef hash. Order came out quick and delicious!

What a cute little spot! Was visiting family and needed a warm breakfast on a surprisingly chilly rainy April day. Chose this place over dunkin and was pleasantly surprised. The waitress for the whole place was absolutely lovely and very attentive. Loved the classic decor (black and white tile floors, marilyn monroe artwork, and intricate ceiling tiles). Coffee was delicious and the food was comforting. I ordered one of eggs benedict with mushrooms and asparagus- it was good, although I think the asparagus was canned (next time I'd stick to spinach & tomatoe.) My fiancé ordered a traditional shmorgishborg and enjoyed it all. Large portions for the right price. Their lunch specials seemed reasonable too. Street parking was a little tough in this part of Arlington but we managed. Glad we found this place and supported a local business.

French Toast with fruit was very good, just wish they had real maple syrup. Aegean Omelet was also very good.

Overall this place isn't anything special. But that's probably why I like it. A small town breakfast restaurant with delicious food.

The Greek omelette didn't seem to hAve any feta. The service was kind of slow. Pass on the homefries, bland and soggy. Disappointing.

We had an unexpected trip to the area that morning to visit a local store…read more When we were done, we noticed it was just about lunch time and decided to find a place to eat. There were many options to choose from but we do like to try places that are not always traditional. Hoping for a local favorite. Right on the corner, it is easy to find and with street parking easy to get to and enjoy a good meal and probably a late night gathering with friends. Rustic looking, it definitely put off the vibe of the local establishment for Arlington. We were the first customers that early afternoon. They were literally unlocking the doors when we arrived. The menu offered enough options to satisfy our dietary and personal preferences. Meats, chicken, fish and veggie options. You can find something. Staff was very friendly and attentive, but we were the only guest that early in the day. The crowd did pick up as we ate our meal. Large windows allowed you to sit and people watch on, what I would imagine is the Main Street for the town. It was Sunday so a little quiet so not a lot people watching today. Food was great and the presentation was a lot more than expected for a tavern. Full bar options and a good list of local craft beers. I love trying local beers when possible. A lot of space for seating during the day and I can only imagine the evening bar scene. Based on the number of people who did walk in while we were there to recover their credit card from the night before. Sounds weird but it totally gave off the local vibe. Love it. Very clean and tidy for a Tavern. Respectful place. Plenty of TVs to watch your favorite game so I enjoyed a chance to see one of the Sweet 16 games that day. So, if you are in town, give Town Tavern a visit.

The interior was dimly lit with exposed brick walls and sports on the TV screens. For drinks, I chose the 1, 2, 3, 4 mocktail. This was one of the best mocktails of my life! The refreshing early grey really balanced out the tangy mango cold foam with tajin. They had a substantial non-alc and low ABV menu, which I love to see. For food, we ordered a bunch of plates to eat family-style. Our server had recommended the Pickled Mushrooms, which I thought were just alright. My favorite item was the Burrata with gooseberries, and the Caramelized Onion Dip was pretty good, as well. I was really unimpressed with the Fried Polenta, which had the skimpiest topping of braised short ribs. Service was good overall, but our drinks kept getting bussed before we were finished with them, which was unfortunate. Overall though, a good experience!

The vibe is cozy and welcoming--no-frills décor, but thoughtfully laid out with a nice mix of low tables, high tops, and a long, inviting bar. It was fairly empty at first but became more lively as people trickled in. The staff really stood out, especially our server Sarah, who was warm, knowledgeable, and took the time to walk us through both the food and cocktail options without rushing us. As an extra touch, Chef Steve came out to our table to chat and describe a few of the dishes, which made the experience feel personal. Food highlights: * Firecracker tofu - perfectly fried cubes tossed in a hot-sweet Korean-style sauce; addictive. * Grilled broccoli - smoky, well-seasoned * Butternut squash soup - smooth and flavorful, elevated by roasted, ground squash seeds and a subtle curry note. * Polenta with short ribs - rich and balanced. * Smoked bluefish pâté - excellent texture though a little salty for my taste. Drinks: * Also Fancy - bright and fruity, but not overly sweet. * St. Peter's Bay - think mezcal meets Old Fashioned. * Bonus points: I asked for a custom gin gimlet, and the bartender delivered a fresh, mint-forward version that was amazing. Tall Order is a great neighborhood spot that's doing everything right. We'll absolutely be back.

Service: Good, fast, pleasant Food: The Asian beef tacos which were fine, came with 3 tacos, heavy on the filling, flavors were so-so. The chocolate cake was a layered cake, the ganache was good, could have used more strawberry slices to cut through the richness. Drinks: The Raspberry lime rickey mocktail was perfectly sweet and sour, tasted like candy. Value: Tacos were $18, for the quality I would say that these were overpriced. The cake was a good portion for desert and was $9. Other: The bathroom was dark, could improve in the lighting. Obviously more a customer issue and could have gone between cleanings but there was shredded paper towels scattered on the ground. Overall this wasn't a bad meal by any means, just overpriced for basic food.

There are three key elements to a successful, well-rounded Yelp review--food, service, and…read moreambiance--and Krave earned a gold star in every single one. The food was nothing short of exceptional. Both simple and deeply nuanced, every dish I tried offered a fresh, elevated take on a familiar favorite. Each bite was packed with flavor, making for a truly memorable dining experience. The shrimp tacos, for instance, were a seafood lover's dream--perfectly grilled shrimp paired with crisp, fresh vegetables and a creamy taco sauce, all wrapped in warm tortillas filled to the brim. As for the mozza balls, they were a revelation. Hot and crispy on the outside, generously dusted with fresh Parmesan, and bursting with rich, creamy mozzarella inside. The crust was so perfectly crunchy that even Sonic's legendary mozzarella sticks would have some serious competition. These golden bites of cheesy perfection were nothing short of divine. The fried shrimp were enormous and cooked to absolute perfection, encased in a flavorful, perfectly crispy batter. They were incredible on their own--so much so that the accompanying dipping sauce, while a nice touch, was completely unnecessary. The bruschetta was warm and fluffy, topped with juicy, perfectly ripened tomatoes and a generous handful of fresh, peppery arugula, all drizzled with rich, warm olive oil. There was plenty to share--but it was so good, you wouldn't want to. The food was so insanely good that I was kraving more before I even made it home--seriously, I considered turning the car around halfway just for another bite. The service was top-notch from the moment we sat down. Our server greeted us before we even had our chairs pulled out, welcomed us to Krave, handed us menus, and took our drink orders right away. She was back quickly with full glasses and a friendly smile. When we ordered appetizers, she kept us updated on their progress, making sure we never had to wonder when they'd arrive. Attentive, efficient, and genuinely welcoming--it doesn't get much better than that. She kept that same level of service throughout our entire visit--never missing a beat. Our glasses stayed full, our table stayed clear, and we never had to ask for a thing. This was the kind of service that makes you want to tip extra extra. The ambiance was perfect--Krave has the chill vibe down to a science. Relaxed atmosphere, great lighting, comfy seating, and just the right level of background noise to keep things lively without being overwhelming. If my kids hadn't been with me, I could've easily made myself at home at the bar for the afternoon. Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish. I usually try to visit a new restaurant every time I go out, just to keep things interesting. But Krave might have just messed up that plan--it's definitely earned a spot on my list of go-to places.

Butter is collateral (and arterial) damage. -- Snappy Pattys: Thin patties of beef get griddled and placed between slices of bread no thicker than your finger and no wider than a KFC biscuit. You'll taste the condiment configuration of choice (I like the Texan for its zippy bacon-laced melted cheese), but you'll taste butter first and foremost, which can be daunting. The surfaces of the bread don't get much browning and the beef was less beefy and less seasoned than I remember from a few years back. Although these never blow me away, they're a nice little novelty that's always worth a taste. -- Patty Melt: The full size format offers a third of a pound of beef (looked thicker) between larger slices of the same type of bread. Not much outer texture or browning, but the interior was moist. Minimal beef flavor, with butter again on overdrive-- much too much of it-- but this time mitigated by the complementary flavors (according to the menu, roasted chili & bacon sauce, tomato, iceberg, blue cheese & avocado aioli). Still enjoyable, though the lack of browning (on bread and beef) and the veering of the ingredients from traditional (no caramelized onion, no rye) kept it from scratching that patty melt itch. Nice place, and I've enjoyed previous visits. And the fried chicken as well as the namesake mini melts. But the quest for the elusive killer patty melt continues.

More than a week ago, I…read morereserved a table for 10:15 am; on Tryst's website, when you reserve a table, you're given a choice of "High tops," "low tables," and "outdoor." I reserved a "low table" due to the fact that I have two young children (I've included a screenshot of my reservation). When we arrived, we were promptly seated - at a high top table. I advised the hostess that we had reserved a low table; she indicated she could change our table, but that we would have to wait. This despite the fact that the restaurant was 90% empty. Fine. We stayed at the high top table - which, in addition to being elevated, had the disadvantage of being very small. Not a great fit, in short, for young kids. After a surprisingly long time, we finally ordered. Tryst was offering a 2-course prix fixe Mother's Day brunch menu; my wife and I ordered from this menu, while the kids ordered from the children's menu. We asked the waiter if my daughter could have a fruit bowl; he said 'sure, would strawberries and blueberries be ok.' Yes, indeed they would. At 10:50, the kids' meals and my first course were brought to the table - including a small bowl of just blueberries for my daughter (not a single strawberry). Nothing for my wife - a.k.a. "mom," the honoree of today's festivities. At 10:55, I asked the waiter when my wife's food would arrive. He said it was on its way. At 11:03 - nearly 15 minutes after everyone else had been served - my wife's first course - avocado toast w/ salmon - finally arrived. At 11:04, the 2nd courses were also served. Now we're stuck on a very small high top table with all our courses (since I had refrained from eating my first course while waiting for my wife's to be served), all at once. I asked to speak to a manager. After 5-10 minutes, he came out. I noted how we had been seated at the wrong type of table, how my daughter had been offered (!) a fruit cup with blueberries and strawberries but received only the former and - most importantly - how my wife's main course was now cold before she even had a chance to start it. He apologized, had some strawberries brought out and offered to bring out a new main course for my wife. We declined. Why? Well, because our two young children had finished eating 20 minutes earlier, and certainly wouldn't have the patience to wait another who-knows-how-long for another main course to be brought out (I remind you: it's is now ~ 11:15 and we have now been at the restaurant for a full hour). My wife also had no desire to be the only one eating at the table. The manager indicated he would remedy the situation otherwise - but no other remedy was offered or received (so: no comps, no discount, nothing). To be clear: I would never have complained - never mind bothered to write a review! - if it was simply a matter of the wrong table and strawberry-less fruit cups. I mention these only because they're both examples of the same unforced error: setting an expectation that Tryst then fails to meet. I would, however, normally have given them a pass on this; after all, we all have bad days. What I can't pass over, however, is that, through sheer incompetence, my wife was effectively asked to dine alone, on Mother's Day - something anathema to the whole idea of a Mother's Day Brunch - and neither the staff nor the manager seemed to consider this a real problem. Whence this review. My wife and I have been patronizing Tryst for, I think, more than 10 years. We will not be going back.
