This place is good at what it does. Just good ol' fashioned American diner food. So what are all those other weird items doing on the menu? I feel like they should analyze their sales and purge out some of the odd menu items that don't get ordered/don't belong on the menu. (I'm looking at you Korean tacos) I will give them this though: Their breakfast burrito is one of the best I've ever had. It's simple, hearty, and cheap, which makes for an awesome experience. I've been going to classic burger since I was a young girl. It has always been a family favorite. Great value, great variety and terrific food. However, my last visit was disappointing. There has clearly been a change in management, and not for the better. Prices have increased and food taste has decreased. A very sad day for me to see my OG classic burger turn into an average Joe. I came to explore Redondo Beach as I am not a local. As I searched through for some place to eat. We were lucky enough to find this amazing spot. Upon arrival I called the restaurant to ask if they served steak and eggs. The person who answered was so social and friendly. Once I arrived I was greeted with a smile and a friendly welcoming Hello. I noticed that they have a lot of local loyal customers as they greeted and spoke to quite a few people by their name while I was there. Their service is amazing and their restaurant is clean. The food slapssss no cap. But forreal though I had the Bacon Cheese Burger and it's not your regular burger. The bacon had the perfect amount of crisp and the patty was very juicy and thiccck. Upon first impression it would seem like this is your typical greasy American food joint with burgers and fries but that impression easily disappears when you gaze in awe at the menu. The variety of food is astounding. This place has been dishing up good chow at reasonable prices for years. I love walking in and seeing the same faces...Classic Burger is a true community spot. They have a tremendous variety and while nothing is amazing, you always leave satisfied. One menu item that does stand slightly above the others is their breakfast burrito. They chalk it full of goodies like potatoes, eggs, a choice of meat like bacon and cheese. I swear those burritos kill a headache better than Aleve. Their other breakfast options are good and they serve them all day which is a plus for a late riser like me. I might have given them a fourth star if they still had their Street Fighter 2 Arcade Machine, but then I realized its not 1993 and I should be a bit more pragmatic in my rankings. They have a nice little patio and the inside is always very clean for a little greasy spoon. If your expectations are not grandiose, I think you'll enjoy Classic Burger...especially in these tough economic times! read more

They are not taking this pandemic seriously the guy who's the cashier during the week is rude. We have gone on every other weekend and Ricky and Robert are great but that other guy is a jerk and not sanitary. I came in with my boyfriend had lunch yesterday around 1145am the cashier took our money as well as other people's money and went to help the cook make food touching bread, meats EVERYTHING I WILL CONTACT THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT THIS PLACE IS PUTTING EVERYONES HEALTH AT RISK my boyfriend said that's why cases are going up. If you live in Los Angeles County, you know most local burger shops also have tacos, burritos, etc available. ALWAYS go for their tacos & burritos. They will be authentic. That said, Classic Burger is one of the best in South Bay. They are so authentic and make me want to eat their tacos every day; my household always purchases their Carne Asada Tacos. The only exception is when our 18 yr old son has a craving for their Chili Cheese Burger and Fries (which by him is out of this world). Please check them out. read more

I have three job sites and Redondo is one of them... and oh yes... how I look forward to lunch in Redondo.. yum yum. Out of 10 orders.. 9 orders for me is the Terriaki Chicken with white rice and salad... located in the special menu. I believe I tried a tuna melt which was okay... Do seem like people eat a lot of greasy stuff here. I've been eating at Classic Burger for years! It's changed hands and the Hermosa location no longer exists. But ask for a grilled cheese on sourdough and prepare for utter delight! Classic Burger is a good inexpensive dive to grab a bite to eat for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They have a larger selection of items on their menu compared to a typical fast food chain restaurant. I have been here twice and really like their burgers. They add Worcestershire Sauce to their burger patties giving them a nice taste and texture. Both times I have gone, the service is has been very friendly and helpful. On the negative side,, I didn't care for the onion rings which were very greasy and over cooked. read more

Ordered a jr burger, a 1/4 pound cheeseburger, fries and a cup of chili to go. Waited about 5 minutes for food and we were off! My cheese burger had fresh veggies, decent sized patty, a bun made to last the whole burger- all in all, a well dressed burger. Fries were cooked really well (I hate undercooked thick-cut fries) and went really well with the chili (which I don't usually eat)! Stopped here for a late lunch and now I know why it's my parents' go-to local burger joint. read more

When I first moved to Redondo last year, this was the first place I decided to try. I ordered the patty melt which tasted pretty average. Nothing new or extravagant from other place. Fries are more on the soggy side. Majority of the prices are under $10 and if you looking for those hole-in-wall type burger joints. I would recommend this place over others I've driven by. I like their extensive menu (lot's of variety like a diner's menu) and the clean interior and the outdoor seating areas as well as the friendly service. The burger picture up on the menu board looked really good but it was average unfortunately. Good but nothing really stood out (I was expecting In-n-out good because the picture looks like one of their burgers). This is my go-to place when I'm at my boyfriend's house because it's so close, and it has such a wide variety of food that I can always find something that I'm craving. Eggs and pancakes? Check. $3 burgers? Check. Salads? Yep. Mexican food? Why of course. They had a shrimp taco special recently, and it was DELICIOUS! I expect a lot of these diners to give me something just dripping with grease, but these shrimp tacos were just lightly mixed with sauce and covered in plenty of fresh cabbage and tomatoes. The staff is really friendly, and they are always saying hello to regulars. However the food takes forever to get done, every single time. Even when it's not that busy. This is an ok burger joint. They are known for their breakfast steak and egg on the cheap, not bat all. Very decent prices for what you get and decent proportion. I've been coming here for years and this is just your average breakfast, burrito, lunch and dinner spot. It does the job quite well at it. The taste is on the average side but nothing to really complain about, it's descent. It's a nice little local place to eat anytime of the day. Classic Burger is a Redondo Beach institution. I've visited the place intermittently for over 10 years, initially introduced by my older brother Chase. The place changed ownership a few years ago and I've heard from some, that the place changed. I didn't notice a change in the food or service however. The place was renovated a couple of years ago, and so now, it is semi-modern inside, clean, and conducive to entertainment with a large wall-mounted flat-screen. The breakfast burrito is, as you will read here, a great option if you're here in the morning and don't want your typical Grand Slam-style plate. I prefer the Breakfast Burrito at Phanny's down the street, but still, this one is great. The burgers are also quite good, especially for the low cost. Each comes with a sizable patty and thousand-island (ala In-N-Out), tomato, onion, and pickle. For the price, they are really great. The fries are also great. Crispy and flavorful. When you want a made-to-order burger from an independent spot without the prices of a Fat Burger, check these out. Classic Burger also distinguishes itself in ways due to the selection. Lots of choices here, everything from Gyros to Chorizo to Kogi beef. Try Classic Burger when you're in the area. You'll be glad you did. read more

Tasty burger joint with a large menu selection. Passed by this place several times while riding out to the beach. One day noticed a sign that they had bulgogi burgers, taco and a bulgogi plate. So I decided I had to try it out. Maybe not the most authentic, but I am definitely hooked when I want to get a quick bulgogi fix. Although I haven't tried it yet... for my own good.... but at least on one or more occasions, I have noticed people having breakfast, with what looks like a whole package of bacon on their plate.... looks mighty tasty... but so far I have been able to resist the urge. read more
