I was excited to try Class 302 since they specialize in Taiwanese food, and of course, I had to try their boba since bubble tea originated in Taiwan! It did not disappoint. The tea had a really good, rich tea base, which made the drink stand out. They have a great variety of Taiwanese dishes, from savory comfort food to snacks and desserts. We tried their popcorn chicken, and it was on point! It had that familiar Taiwanese flavor and seasoning I was hoping for. Very crispy, savory, and full of that classic taste. Definitely a must-order if you love Taiwanese-style popcorn chicken! Their beef noodle soup was another highlight. It was warm and hearty. It's the kind of bowl that feels like a cozy meal, especially when you're craving something soothing and satisfying. Their shaved ice is a bestseller as well. The ice is incredibly smooth and fluffy, and the portion is really huge, it's definitely big enough to share. It's the perfect refreshing dessert for a hot summer day. The servers were very attentive, and the restaurant itself is spacious and comfortable. Parking is shared with the other restaurants in the plaza, so expect it to get pretty packed during rush hours and especially on weekends. Overall, a great spot for Taiwanese food and a refreshing boba fix!
I had been to the Rowland Heights location in several years ago and I liked it, so I wanted to give this location a try. Unfortunately, it was a bit disappointing since some of the dishes didn't feel as authentic as I remembered. The Taiwanese sausage was not good at all, and the pork chop was also underwhelming. The stir-fried noodles and popcorn chicken were the only dishes we really enjoyed. The service wasn't very attentive, either. On the bright side, the food came out pretty fast and the interior still has the nostalgic Taiwanese classroom theme, with old-school desks and tables that add to the atmosphere.
This is one of the few authentic Taiwanese "theme" restaurants, with some unique specialties. I was pleasantly surprised that the store nearly full and about half of the patrons were non-Chinese, it's great that more and more people are discovering authentic Taiwanese food. We usually come here for Taiwanese bento and beef noodle soup, and we decided to try something different this time, and everything was good. The highlight was definitely the stinky Tofu, it was perfectly fried and with a nice "stinky" smell, and it was very good. Ok this one is probably not for beginners, as it is likely an acquired taste. The thick noodles was soothing and just what we needed. The satay hot pot was very good, we had enough to bring home and continue to enjoy the next day. I called it a "themed" restaurant because the store was originally modeled after an elementary school 3rd grade classroom, the chairs, tables, bulletin board and blackboard, even the menu is sort of what you might find at a school cafeteria (of course much more fancy), there is a nostalgic, cute feeling for those of us grew up in Taiwan. For everyone else, it's a nice touch if you are into these cultural stuff.
Keeping this short and sweet because the shaved snow here will always hit and it's probably in my top 3 desserts ever in life lol. Will always do the make your own and 95% of the time pick the milk flavor with fruit and mochi. Always dreaming about this especially when it's hot! But also don't skip out on Taiwanese cafe food, always a hit as well!!
This place is so cute.. Service is quick, you sit down they give you menus and when ready they have a button that calls your server. Food is good and well portioned.. many of the dishes are shareable.. from what I saw from my neighbors. tables are school desks, it's cute.. we ordered shaved ice, and the flavors we had are subtle despite the numerous toppings. They were good but not exactly sweet, they look to be loaded with flavor but both of our very different desserts weren't sweet enough, idk the nutritional information but perhaps it is in the lighter side?? Don't get me wrong it was yummy just so subtle.
Friendly staff but service may be slower for dining since it's probably mostly a boba and ice joint, the way it's set up. The classroom theme is done well. For food, the wontons and noodles were okay. You get huge portions for all noodle soups. The oyster omelet is not bad, good ratio of ingredients and sauce. It's a little more fried eggy than average I think, reminded me of one I had at the Taipei 101 food court rather than night market or maybe US Shihlin spots. I wouldn't mind ordering any of these again. The popcorn chicken was dry. The fried tofu had the right stink but zero flavor or seasoning. The boba had mushy pearls and the tea was a bit too milky for me. Also the crazy soup container size trend I feel should have come and gone. No way I can finish that size even if it was good. Now I know what to avoid I wouldn't mind returning but wouldn't go out of my way.
I was so surprised to find this place -- I grew up going to the one in Rowland Heights, and I was really sad that it left. The pork chop was light and crunchy. It was tasty! The decor was also spot on, just like an old Taiwanese classroom
When you are feeling lazy to cook and you don't want fast food, Class 302 is such a great option. Easy order placement and pick up. The food comes well prepared and still tastes as good as if you ate it there.
Decided on some boba for a dessert and Class 302 Cafe was conveniently there. Service was nice and friendly. Ordered at the counter, and drinks were out in under 10 minutes. Cozy and warm, nice liveliness to the place. Feels like a casual spot or a homey comfort spot! Got the 302 Milk Tea with grass jelly as an add-on. Average milk tea, nothing special. Average amount of ice, could be considered as too much for some people. A little too sweet initially for my liking but not overbearing and I'm not sure if they make adjustments because I didn't look into it or ask. I'd say that their original sweetness is like 80-90% level compared to the trendy affordable boba shops, and when the ice melts, it tastes 60-70% sweetness, which should be fine but it's just a bit bland when the ice completely melts for me (my preference is 60-80% sweetness for reference). For about $7, their small is worth it for 32oz, which is more than enough and a good deal for me. Can't say I'd recommend for taste and quality but for nostalgia, convenience, and quantity, I'd say it's a good option when you're in the area. I hope to stop by and try their food next time!

"Sit wherever you like", so we do. "Not this table, it's for bigger groups". That gave us the best laugh, specifically the area he pointed after, all the tables were extra dirty, with plates from previous patrons. So we sat on the 1 clean table available. We had the shaved ice. He only brought one spoon even tho he knew we were sharing. So I got up and got an extra one. We were almost done, and the waiter brings the 2 cups and spoons, lol. We told him it wasn't needed, he apologized for forgetting to bring it. The shaved ice was delicious, the place is either under staffed or staff needs better training.
Class 302 Cafe is a very popular Taiwanese restaurant chain. This spot in Cerritos is very well run, and I highly recommend it. I've been coming recently for late night dinners, and the servers are very friendly. It's always pretty popular at night, so there are many tables taken up. It's a lively environment with fun music! This time, I tried the Spicy Pork Bone Soup with Wontons and the Fried Intestine. I actually really enjoyed both of them! The Fried Intestine in particular was very well made. The Spicy Pork Bone Soup with Wontons tasted like Malatang. I really liked the flavor of the soup. It also came with plenty of wontons and noodles. Overall, Class 302 continues to be an excellent place for great food!
Ambiance is good and service is fast. The girl who waited on us is really nice n make sure to give us enough time to check s n Nu.

This review is from 2016. This is a nice Taiwanese cafe. Has the typical street foods like popcorn chicken and shaved ice. My friends surprised me on my birthday by bringing me here. I had great memories here. Food was delicious. I remember the popcorn chicken coming piping hot that it nearly burnt my tongue. Shaved ice was great as well, the ice has cream mixed in so it was not just straight up ice from a machine. Toppings were delicious as well, not too sweet. read more

Looking for a dessert place after dinner, we stumbled upon Class 302. It's a casual Taiwanese restaurant serving everything from main entrees to boba drinks and shaved snow. We got the matcha shaved snow and it was divine! It was milky, rich, and the right amount of sweetness. The bowl is large ($10.95) and can easily feed 2-3 people. Despite being busy, the customer service was fast. My only con is the parking is a nightmare in this complex. If you come during the busy hours of lunch or dinner, you may have to troll around for a spot. read more
I've been meaning to try this place for years, so finally one day my husband decided to stop in for lunch. The inside decor is kinda quirky, it's designed like a classroom and the tables are actual school desks put together. The chicken karage and spicy beef noodle soup were surprisingly good and flavorful. The noodles in pork broth and tofu with thousand year old eggs were fine-they weren't bad but not that memorable. I would go back in the future for the beef noodle soup and maybe to try some other items. read more

I love this little place! The decor is quaint and look at what they have as sharing bowls! Adorable! The bingsoo is a perfect sweet treat. The snow has been perfected and rather than being shredded it's piled in these beautiful ribbons where you can tell that there is just more attention brought into making it. Below is a selection of yummy jellies of your choosing, do get the mochi. It's coated in a sweet glaze and is so fresh that your teeth sink into each chew, a divine texture you wouldn't expect from a spot that does not specialize in mochi specifically. Fruit bingsoo is delicious with unctuous chunks of sweet and ripe mango. The food is also so good! Its varied, and distinctly Taiwanese so you can explore a new flavor profile that is not readily available anywhere else. They have the classics too, but venture while you're here. This place was designed for Taiwan-cultured patrons: the decor and foods. Funny that the server does not speak Chinese, whatever dialect. We came for the shaved ice. Like the counter-part in Taiwan, it was extremely satisfying in both belly filling portion, diversed set of ingredients, and flavors. To my surprise, the ice was flavored (most offered plain ice, made with just water). I happened to ordered "milk ice" and I liked it. There is an advantage of ordering the shaved ice to go: all ingredients were "on the side." It's much easier to split with others at home this way -- we divvy up the shaved ice and picked/fought-over our own toppings. All good. The décor brought back so much nostalgia, what they intended. The name "class 302" in Taiwan 3rd grade or the people born in 1943. Those people grew up in relatively harsh material struggle, militant social norms, and general up-beat optimism for the future. The decor reflected those quite well. Guess I showed my age in this review. :-) read more

They have an extensive menu! I came just for dessert in which I got a Thai tea that was super delicious and massive! I also got the strawberry shaved snow and I really enjoyed it. I got it to go, however I would def dine in next time as I want to see the presentation for it! The people working were friendly and the service was fast. Came here after dinner. My mom wanted something sweet. First time trying Taiwanese shaved ice. Must say it's very smooth, melts literally in your mouth , plus it's not too icy where it hurts your teeth. Not too sweet either. HUGE portions! Myself, my parents,niece & sister shared. Came here for dessert after lunch at a Thai place. I forgot the name but I ordered the mango shaved ice and it serves 3 of us. We also ordered the peach tea. Pea tea was fine. The shaved ice was good though and I would come back for it again. Service was slow and the workers wasn't really friendly. The place also serve Taiwanese food. read more

A fun casual restaurant. I'd highly recommend trying one of the hot pots. It's massive with tons of stuff packed inside. Different vegetables, tofu, egg, meat, and more. So good! The plaza it's in also has a lot of great bakeries and boba and other spots. read more

Love the food there! The server was very polite and friendly. Also the chef was nice to change upon my request. I order noodles today and I don't feel want to have pork so I asked if I have have alternative. The server ask the chef and they said I can. Instead of the pork, I have fried chicken for my noodles! So yummy and satisfying for my visit. Also I packed for tomorrow as well. Love to go back again with more friends. Thank you read more

Friendly and quick service everytime I come here! And truly an enjoyable experience each time. The ambience is clean, comfortable and very nicely decorated, sticking to the Taiwanese theme. Recommended dishes: Taiwanese Oyster Omelet (5/5), crispy outside, soft and delicate inside, the sauce is both sweet and savory. Spicy chicken filet fried rice (5/5), cooked to perfection with a savory crunch, comes with both fried rice and the filet. Taiwanese Spring Roll (4/5), crunchy outside, meaty inside, with the sauce the dish is a must-try. MANGO Shaved Ice (5/5) is also a MUST-TRY when coming here, the mochi makes it perfect. Overall, a great spot to eat out with a couple friends, shareable portions for the price you pay, service has never disappointed me. Not sure on the low ratings, but Class 302 is always worth a try, don't miss out! read more
This fun restaurant has character. It's decorated to resemble classrooms in Taiwan, including the desks they use as tables! There are plenty of dinner options featuring many traditional Taiwanese dishes. My recent visit wasn't for their meals, but for their desserts. Specifically, I was wanting their shaved snow. It's still a rare find in southern California so it's worth the drive to have it occasionally. Shaved snow is essentially shaved ice, but with a cream base. It comes out as ribbons and isn't nearly as dense as ice cream. There is a selection of predefined combinations, or the option to create your own with various bases and toppings. If you're looking for a unique frozen treat, definitely give this place a try! read more

Always around the cerritos area and always go to this specific plaza. I've eaten at the sushi place next to it but decided to go here instead one day on Aug 25 2022. Many authentic soups and dishes begin served here. The 302 Boba and 5he shaved ice is a MUST when you come! read more

Came here for dessert and found out they also serve hot foods! Will definitely come back and try the hot foods next time, they look delicious! The shaved ice we had was strawberry, tasty and not overly sweetened. It's really big so I recommend to order for sharing. We ordered drinks as well, super awesome! Love this place! If you're not big on boba drinks, just go with the regular size. read more
Nostalgic joint. Visited after a 4 year hiatus and was impressed per usual. The dessert is the selling point. The taiwanese shaved ice/milk snow. We were impressed with the mochi quality. The snow always has a fantastic consistency and evenly distributed condensed milk. Typical order for us: milk snow, strawberries, mochi, red bean, boba. The prices for food dishes is reasonable considering current inflation rates. read more
Visited Class 302 on a weekday night to try their Taiwanese Beef Noodle soup and almond milk tea. My friend and I ordered the Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup. Although it was tasty, I wish there were a little more noodles. The almond milk tea was also tasty. However, I wish the servers checked on my table a little more since we dined in. The water was rarely refilled, and although we had asked for the check, we hadn't received it for 10-15 minutes, so we walked up to the front to pay. This place has been in Rowland heights for a very long time. It's usually crowded most of the time cause food is good. When we arrived we had to wait about 25-30 minutes cause this place was packed. We were a group of 12 people so I understand. This restaurant is set up like a classroom style that's why is called class 302. They have a variety of food lunch box style like in Taiwan. They have many choices for you to choose from. We came here solely for their delicious shaved ice desserts. They have many flavors to choose from and ingredients you can have in there. I normally chose taro , mango, mung bean, tapioca pears, strawberries and much more. It's really so good. Must Come here to try it to understand. Some locations still do. Cerritos yes. Downey no.

Yes but you may have to wait. Sometimes the place is totally dead and other times it's swamped. Matters what day and time you go as well...
