Samples of ciders - I luv flights to try even more!
    Russ K.

Came here with large party of friends & family and everyone was impressed with this establishment. First off, the interior & layout is open & airy from the very high ceilings and floor to ceiling glass windows/doors. The food was good & so was the service. Saving the best for last - the cider & cocktails were great! I really like trying new ciders, but my friend got the spicy margarita cocktail and it was darn good (tasted a healthy dose of cucumber:-) Anyway, judging by the response from our party, we will surely be coming back to try some more cider flights, drinks, and snacks

We stopped here on our way home from Buffalo. The place is big and has plenty of seating. Lots of families which was nice. The host and server were both very friendly. Food was okay. We had a margarita pizza, which was definitely different than we expected. They had fresh tomato's on the pizza. The crust was nice and fluffy. The poutine was delicious, a little salty, but I guess that is to be expected. We did share a flight of cider. I really liked the Granny Smith cider, but wasn't a huge fan of the others we tried. I would say it's worth stopping if you are in the area.

A little pricy, but the food was good and the cider was even better!! If you haven't already stopped in, you're missing out.

Finally got here - it's been on my radar since they announced their opening . At first glance -this place is classy . Love the patio . Lucked out on a Saturday and got one of the last seats on it . Since I haven't tried their cider yet , I opted for a flight - but at $18 for a flight of 4 it made me cringe a bit . I think that was the most expensive flight I've ever purchased . My favorite of the four ciders was the Pink Boots cherry blossom (so much flavor!) I was a bit hungry so I opted for a side of their Mac and cheese and a side of Mexican street corn . Lots of creamy garlic flavor in the Mac and cheese and a decent portion too. The corn was good but would have been better if it was grilled corn and not the usual frozen variety with Cojita cheese and herbs. Our server was nice and pleasant . I will most likely come back again because the atmosphere is pleasant, not for a flight but maybe for a pint of Pink Boots with some of my favorite people to share the evening with .

We have a new spot to stop at in Lancaster! Clarksburg Cider offers their own ciders and craft cider cocktails. They have many options available for those that like sweeter or drier tasting beverages. Plus, they offer delicious food and wood-fired pizzas. The outdoor space is large, looks beautiful and I can't wait until warmer weather to check it out.

It's only the second week open for Clarksburg, so it's tough to say how it's going to progress, but so far, it's a great start. The place has a bright and airy atmosphere with garage doors that open the dining room and bar area to the outdoors, and a large patio area, a balcony dining area, and a grassy area with yard games such as corn hole. They have a menu of specialty cocktails, each containing cider. It's refreshing to have something unique like this. The cheeseburger was huge, tasty and cooked to order. However the fries were separate. The pizza dough is thick and fresh. The peach prosciutto pizza is unique and yummy, if a tad on the sweet side. Service is super friendly. These people are proud of their place and want to make special. Restaurant openings are typically a little rough at the start but this one seems to be well thought out. Off to a great start. Check it out!

Many cider choices. I love it! Ciders were for the most part delicious. The cinnamon, pineapple hibiscus, dry ciders were some of my favorites. Plenty of parking. Plenty of seating. Looks like a beautiful place to sit outside as well when the weather is nice. Poutine, meat & cheese board, and gumbo dip were also fantastic.

This place is amazing! It's so spacious and offers delicious food and drinks. I'm not a huge cider person, but the cider cocktails are out of this world. We tried the cider take on a Manhattan and the hibiscus cider drink. I would highly recommend both. What a nice addition to Lancaster!!!

Talk about a much needed food/attraction to the Lancaster area! Clarksburg is the right vibe this town needs to open up the door for more restaurants and breweries to be able to sling great food and equally great drinks. The atmosphere on a warm summer day is gorgeous. Picture a nice outdoor patio overlooking a beautiful lawn filled with lawn chairs and cornhole, and an equally nice indoor seating area with a view of the tap room brewery that is happening right on site as you eat and drink. The white Buffalo painted with apples is a great cherry on top and provides a selfie/instagram worthy moment to cap off a truly delightful experience. I can't tell what my favorite part about eating here was.. the gumbo appetizer or the absolutely incredible Mac N Cheese that tastes just as good when you heat it up the next day. Even my husband who is very anti-seafood was raving about the gumbo! I got a flight of ciders and it was great to try an assortment of flavors produced by Clarksburg. I'm not a big drinker, but I was able to get a good taste of all the flavors here and let my husband finish the rest as I focused on my Pizza. The pizza was the only neutral part of the experience here that dropped the review from 5 to a 4 star. I ordered the Margherita that had fresh tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella. It got pretty watery from the tomatoes, but it was still delicious, albeit quite a bit messy. This won't stop me from giving this another try for dinner, though! One thing to note is that because it's been such a nice addition to the Lancaster area, you should absolutely make a reservation to get in. Seating will be even more limited when the weather changes, and it's pretty obvious living in this area to see what a huge hit it is, so plan ahead!

Great place. Cider flight and pomegranate lemonade hit the spot. The charcuterie pizza was good, pulled pork and fries delicious as were the sprouts. Will definitely be back! Sat at the bar. Staff was very nice and offered great suggestions. Large parking area. Reservations recommended. Shirts, glasses, hats, stickers and cans of cider for sale too.

-- A perfect WNY fall tradition!…read more Smith's Orchard Cider Mill A trip to Western New York just isn't complete without an apple-picking adventure, and my sister found a winner with Smith's Orchard Cider Mill! We went on a warm October Sunday, and while the parking lot was full, we managed to find a spot halfway down and got right into the fun. The friendly staff gave us quick instructions, handed each of us a bag, and said the magic words -- "Pick as many as you want; what you pick is yours!" Challenge accepted. Rows were clearly marked by variety, and while the first few trees looked pretty bare, a little exploring led us to a goldmine of apples -- perfect for filling our bags and taking some great pictures. My sister never hesitates to find someone to snap a photo, and with the sun shining through the orchard, it made for fantastic memories with my brother and sister. We wrapped up by waiting a few minutes to check out, but that gave us time to enjoy a cold glass of their fresh apple cider -- nothing beats that crisp WNY flavor on a Sunday morning! An absolutely perfect start to the day and a stop we'll no doubt revisit next year. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun, relaxed fall outing!

Note: when you put the location in maps, depending where you're coming from, it might take you to the front of the orchard, the parking lot is on the side, its grass parking and then a gravel walkway. (Please prepare accordingly). If there's no parking, I've seen people park on the street, and walk. This place is pretty hopping. We arrived at 11am and the cider/donut/checkout line did not die down. Since this was the second weekend of the season, only a handful of flavors were available: McIntosh, cortland, and daybreak Fuji. For those looking to bake: the daybreak Fuji are the best of the three as it won't reduce to mush, but the other two are great for applesauce etc. I made an apple crisp with a mix of the daybreak Fuji and the cortland, it turned out really solid. They have portapotties here and a sink to wash your hands. They do provide plastic bags for apple picking, and their cider mill dog; Cider; is "guarding" the bags. No really, she just wants to be petted and give her attention, she's insanely friendly. They do have pumpkins here for 5$ each. I didn't get one because it was too early for me and the deer would've just ate it off my lawn. You can bring your own bags to pick apples since you purchase by the weight. If you're planning to get a lot of apples, the reusable grocery bags are solid. We met at the picnic tables by the front and then walked over to the orchards to start picking apples. The apples that are not ready, are tapered off with colored plastic string rope. Each row of trees is labelled with what type they are for easy identification. We all split up and started picking apples, no rhythm or reason to it, just happily picking. Very friendly for kids to pick too as some apples hang lower. It was a very chill day and event full of happy. Post-overloading our bags with apples, we went back to the entrance where the cider/donut/checkout line did not die down. It kept moving but kept growing. We waited about 15minutes to purchase donuts slushies and pay for our apples. There are Concord grapes for purchase up front, and gallons of cider. I got six donuts and a cider slushie, a bag of Concord grapes and we had two heaping bags of apples, and we paid I believe 50$ ish for everything. Granted my bag of apples was like 20$ for how much it weighed. We used about 20-25 apples Saturday for cooking/baking/juicing, and we still have another heaping bag left. Probably going to make some sort of bread and maybe a pie. Anyway. The cider slushie is so good and refreshing, I wish I had ordered two up front because that line did not die down. They had so many folks working the counter though that it kept moving which shows you how much traffic the place was receiving. But also to show you to appreciate the business and the work that goes into every weekend event. The cinnamon sugar fry cake donuts I ordered six, ate three there, and three on way home/at home. They were piping hot when we got them, so insanely fresh. Delicious. It was a really fun afternoon of at your leisure bonding.

I can't lie, I was definitely drawn in here by the funky colors you could see from the street. Other than the fact that they offer cider, of course. The decor here is almost something straight out of a trippy dream, and its seriously so cool! You won't find their stuff in cans at the grocery store, so I think that adds to the exclusivity of it. If it's your first time, I definitely recommend trying a flight - they have at least 12+ different kinds of ciders on tap, and the flight will give you a chance to try smaller (but not TOO small) samplings. They have a really good variety of flavors, and I loved being able to explore the menu in this way. A majority of the ciders we tried were amazing - some just weren't our taste, but I'm eager to return to sample more of the menu. This place is also dog-friendly. One of the things that made my first experience here so fun was actually OSB's "mascot", Sir Glenister, and his bull dog antics. I had the pleasure of playing fetch with him and then trying to help his owner get trash out of his mouth in a daring game of keep-away. If my dog were a dog person, I would totally bring her here! Don't sleep on OSB, even sharing space with some great restaurants and bars on that section of Main street. This place is so deserving of business.

But that didn't stop them from welcoming people to purchase their wonderful cider in a drive thru format after pre-ordering. There was a Google order form and Black Creek Cidery advertised on their Facebook page. I ordered two four-packs. One four pack of their Orchard Tea and Dry Orchard, and the other four-pack was mixed, including jalapeno, rat bastard and blackcurrent. Pick up was the first Saturday in December for a couple hours. Everything was well marked, and directions were displayed on the Google form, the confirmation that came to my email, as well as a post on Facebook. When I pulled in, I was immediately directed by several groups of people, all wearing masks. They were all exceptionally friendly and jovial. I pulled up to the main area, told them my last name and my four packs were put in my backseat. Bonus, each four pack came with a tote bag, separating the bottles and making sure they didn't bang around, as well as a bottle opener, because you'll need one to open this delicious cider. This is the only cider I'll drink and I'll tell you why. I have tried many ciders because I can't drink beer anymore, and this is now my drink of choice when I am in the presence of people drinking beer and when I don't want to drink hard liquor or hard seltzer. Black Creek's cider doesn't leave you with that weird phlegmy thing happening in your mouth and throat. They aren't too sweet either. They are absolutely perfect. I can't wait to try the other flavors I purchased. This is a family-run business and everyone who I encountered while safely going through the drive thru was delightful. You can get Black Creek Cider at local retailers throughout the year, but they only open up their home once a year. If you want to meet the hardworking people who make this fabulous cider, stop by on that day. If you happen to see this in your liquor store, pick up a bottle, or 6 or 12. You won't be disappointed and you'll be supporting a local, hardworking family business. You can tell everyone is passionate and excited about creating cider and meeting people who enjoy consuming it.
