    Flight of cider

Had an absolutely fun time at OSB. I got a cider flight which is a fun way to try 6 ciders and my brother got the most amazing cocktail: lunch box! Try it out!!

$10/flight of 6 ciders which is a pretty good deal. Located right on Main St., Across the street and down a bit from the Hyatt. We split a flight of cider, and surprisingly our favorite was the cider made with cucumber, cantaloupe, and apples. Self serve, pick your order up at the bar and go to one of the metal tables & chairs. We weren't overly impressed by most of the ciders as we probably couldn't identify the other fruit in them besides apple. Biggest draw for us is that are dog friendly.

Popped by for a drink after work and was not disappointed. I was able to try a few different ciders and ultimately settled on the Cherry Cherry Why Ya Buggin. It was really good. The bartender was fantastic and I'm bummed I can't recall her name. Definitely was a great spot for a drink downtown for non-beer and beer drinkers.

Brand new cider taste room in the heart of downtown Buffalo! The company, OSB, actually originated in Rochester and they have already been selling their cider in the Buffalo area (yes, all of the cider sold is made by them). The owner is very knowledgeable about her products and is very kind to her customers. The owner, Elise, has a wide variety of flavors, ranging from sweet to bitter. Most of the drinks don't have too much alcohol, however one of the flavors has 11% alcohol content. There's even a Beef on Weck flavor (HOLY COW). The drinks are also quite affordable - get a flight for $8! The taste room itself is very nicely designed. The lights are covered in large chunks of cotton, making them appear like clouds. The place is usually dimmed, creating a fairly intimate atmosphere. There is adequate seating, with a large bar and quite a few tables in the back. FYI, there are 2 restrooms. This is a great spot to check out on a cold night. It is remarkable how they have managed to open in the middle of the pandemic. I highly recommend you check it out, or AT LEAST give their cider a try at a local restaurant!

Love, love, loved this place! From the moment you walk in it is just, excuse my retro language, groovy! The decor is amazing... colorful, lit, fluffy clouds; greenery walls; a surf wave wall; and a bar with Garbage Pail Kids memorabilia. I also loved the music selection and they had beautiful hand-blown mugs for members. They sometimes have them for sale as retail items, but they just sold out the day before my friends and I visited. On to the cider... All of the flavors we had were delightful! They even have one that tastes just like au jus... funky for a cider, but quite innovative and not bad tasting! I will definitely stop back in when I'm in the area. Oh, and they had a precious pup that was entertaining and friendly :)

Really good service and a wide selection of ciders brewed by them as well as some beers in the event your not into cider. The bartender was really nice, they did have food options, but we were just there to have a couple drinks and move on to try other local options. Nothing fancy, but a great place to stop by, have a couple drinks and see the local area.

I'm so glad that one of my close friends wanted to come here tonight. This cider hall is really cool. I got to meet one of the owners. Her name is Elise Smith. She was tending bar. She has a great attitude and was helpful with me finding the right ciders to try. (I decided on a flight. I was able to choose six of the 16 ciders to try. Many were delicious. My favorite one was the beet cider!!) Her dog was in the tasting room. He is a very friendly and awesome bulldog. His name is Sir Glenister. They have merchandise for sale here. (Coffee cups, trucker hats and cool shirts.) The seats are comfortable and the walls have really cool designs on them. The decor is cool too. They have cloud lights hanging from the sky that Elise made herself. On the bar top, underneath the lacquer are Garbage Pail Kids cards. The first Original Stump Blower is in Lakeville, NY 80 minute away. Come check out their newest location on Main Street in downtown Buffalo, NY. You definitely won't regret it!!!

We had a bunch of things but with 4 adults and 4 kids at a table, we were trying to keep up with them and not as easy to take pictures. The wait staff here was so great and accommodating with us and the kids. I ordered the Pineapple Hibiscus Cider. I am not a big cider person but this was absolutely delicious. It might be my new favorite cider especially when summer rolls around. I also ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and it was so good! It came with sweet potato fries which really stole the show for me. They had good flavor and went perfectly with the sandwich. My wife also got one of the pizzas which looked really great too! We will definitely be back for more. This is a perfect spot for a nice summer night too!

Now, I understand it's the middle of winter but there were empty seats everywhere on a Saturday night. I know why. They no longer have food specials Their pizzas are smaller than they used to be. They now charge $3 for a size of French fries that they used to have as the regular side option The food we had yesterday was... Eh. My husband got the Reuben and it was hands down the worst Reuben we've had in years. The meat was dry, the sauerkraut was dry and the thousand island dressing was non-existent. Horrible! My Diavolo pizza was okay... The flavor was good and the toppings were evenly placed but it was soggy. Like a pool of grease underneath it. It's a brick-oven pizza! How?!? Plus soooo small for a $20 pizza. I do like their cider and idk ... Maybe they raised prices and lowered quality just in the winter to try to make it by? But if that's your business model, you should re-evaluate. It was bad enough we likely won't be back

Menu: small food menu but extensive tasting menus. Food and drinks: I went with a friend and we each got a kombucha flight (5 for $5) and split 4 handpies. All of the handpies were incredibly delicious! So buttery and tasty! We had one of each: buffalo chicken, roast beef, mushrooms, and spinach with cheese. The kombucha was also tasty and served in cute glasses. They had about 10 flavors to chose from. Seating: there are 2 person and 4 person tables, with some community seating as well. Shop: lots of New York State products in here, including jams, chips, honey, maple syrup, cider, wine, cheese, hummus, and much more! Bathroom: unisex bathroom was clean and spacious. Accessibility notes: There's a small ramp outside the entrance, but with the road construction currently in progress, there weren't any street parking spots close to the entrance. I came with an injured friend who's on a scooter, and were lucky enough that we got a spot on the side of the building and she was able to get through the sidewalk (which was also torn up in spots) to the entrance OK. Once construction is over, hopefully they can designate a street spot to handicap parking. Other than that, she was able to move around freely on her scooter in the restaurant.

-- A perfect WNY fall tradition!…read more Smith's Orchard Cider Mill A trip to Western New York just isn't complete without an apple-picking adventure, and my sister found a winner with Smith's Orchard Cider Mill! We went on a warm October Sunday, and while the parking lot was full, we managed to find a spot halfway down and got right into the fun. The friendly staff gave us quick instructions, handed each of us a bag, and said the magic words -- "Pick as many as you want; what you pick is yours!" Challenge accepted. Rows were clearly marked by variety, and while the first few trees looked pretty bare, a little exploring led us to a goldmine of apples -- perfect for filling our bags and taking some great pictures. My sister never hesitates to find someone to snap a photo, and with the sun shining through the orchard, it made for fantastic memories with my brother and sister. We wrapped up by waiting a few minutes to check out, but that gave us time to enjoy a cold glass of their fresh apple cider -- nothing beats that crisp WNY flavor on a Sunday morning! An absolutely perfect start to the day and a stop we'll no doubt revisit next year. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun, relaxed fall outing!

Note: when you put the location in maps, depending where you're coming from, it might take you to the front of the orchard, the parking lot is on the side, its grass parking and then a gravel walkway. (Please prepare accordingly). If there's no parking, I've seen people park on the street, and walk. This place is pretty hopping. We arrived at 11am and the cider/donut/checkout line did not die down. Since this was the second weekend of the season, only a handful of flavors were available: McIntosh, cortland, and daybreak Fuji. For those looking to bake: the daybreak Fuji are the best of the three as it won't reduce to mush, but the other two are great for applesauce etc. I made an apple crisp with a mix of the daybreak Fuji and the cortland, it turned out really solid. They have portapotties here and a sink to wash your hands. They do provide plastic bags for apple picking, and their cider mill dog; Cider; is "guarding" the bags. No really, she just wants to be petted and give her attention, she's insanely friendly. They do have pumpkins here for 5$ each. I didn't get one because it was too early for me and the deer would've just ate it off my lawn. You can bring your own bags to pick apples since you purchase by the weight. If you're planning to get a lot of apples, the reusable grocery bags are solid. We met at the picnic tables by the front and then walked over to the orchards to start picking apples. The apples that are not ready, are tapered off with colored plastic string rope. Each row of trees is labelled with what type they are for easy identification. We all split up and started picking apples, no rhythm or reason to it, just happily picking. Very friendly for kids to pick too as some apples hang lower. It was a very chill day and event full of happy. Post-overloading our bags with apples, we went back to the entrance where the cider/donut/checkout line did not die down. It kept moving but kept growing. We waited about 15minutes to purchase donuts slushies and pay for our apples. There are Concord grapes for purchase up front, and gallons of cider. I got six donuts and a cider slushie, a bag of Concord grapes and we had two heaping bags of apples, and we paid I believe 50$ ish for everything. Granted my bag of apples was like 20$ for how much it weighed. We used about 20-25 apples Saturday for cooking/baking/juicing, and we still have another heaping bag left. Probably going to make some sort of bread and maybe a pie. Anyway. The cider slushie is so good and refreshing, I wish I had ordered two up front because that line did not die down. They had so many folks working the counter though that it kept moving which shows you how much traffic the place was receiving. But also to show you to appreciate the business and the work that goes into every weekend event. The cinnamon sugar fry cake donuts I ordered six, ate three there, and three on way home/at home. They were piping hot when we got them, so insanely fresh. Delicious. It was a really fun afternoon of at your leisure bonding.
