Craft ciders are what they are known for, but they also have a nice variety of beers and cocktails. Really funky decor inside and a laid back vibe where you can drink, talk, and take in the sights. Stopped in after the taste of Buffalo with my boyfriend's mom. This place has it's own vibe for sure. We got to witness somebody win a 4 pack of cider via the plastic acorn type machine. Think of when you'd bum change off your parents for that sticky hand toy as a child. It wasn't very busy when we visited so the service was perfect. I ordered the affogato-tini and it was a little bitter at first, but perfect once that single serve vanilla ice cream melted. They should consider a root beer float drink as well since they have the ice cream. I noticed a food menu of ramen and other 7-Eleven type snacks like frozen burritos. I would return if I'm in the area. It as a little on the pricy side, but the novelty of such a unique place in downtown Buffalo would be worth it. read more

OSB is my latest cidery crush. Seriously. As a fairly avid cider lover, I'm so happy this fantastic place is in the neighborhood! I can't lie, I was definitely drawn in here by the funky colors you could see from the street. Other than the fact that they offer cider, of course. The decor here is almost something straight out of a trippy dream, and its seriously so cool! You won't find their stuff in cans at the grocery store, so I think that adds to the exclusivity of it. If it's your first time, I definitely recommend trying a flight - they have at least 12+ different kinds of ciders on tap, and the flight will give you a chance to try smaller (but not TOO small) samplings. They have a really good variety of flavors, and I loved being able to explore the menu in this way. A majority of the ciders we tried were amazing - some just weren't our taste, but I'm eager to return to sample more of the menu. This place is also dog-friendly. One of the things that made my first experience here so fun was actually OSB's "mascot", Sir Glenister, and his bull dog antics. I had the pleasure of playing fetch with him and then trying to help his owner get trash out of his mouth in a daring game of keep-away. If my dog were a dog person, I would totally bring her here! Don't sleep on OSB, even sharing space with some great restaurants and bars on that section of Main street. This place is so deserving of business. read more

We split a flight of cider, and surprisingly our favorite was the cider made with cucumber, cantaloupe, and apples. Self serve, pick your order up at the bar and go to one of the metal tables & chairs. We weren't overly impressed by most of the ciders as we probably couldn't identify the other fruit in them besides apple. Biggest draw for us is that are dog friendly. read more

My brother and I ventured out for a random last minute plan for shindigs & grub, like always. In typical fashion we struck out our first three choices so we ventured around and decided to give this cozy joint a try. When you first walk in, you definitely feel like this is a spot for regulars, but that's where it ends because you don't feel like an outsider or awkward at all. Everybody is super friendly. The owner served us and was really nice, she answered any questions we had, and even struck up conversations about where we should check out for food on our next sibling date. And how can you not fall in love with the little meatball behind the counter? All this and I didn't even get to the ciders yet! This is probably the first time I have ever had a cider that taste exactly like what it says. You can get a flight for under $15. They were all really good in their own way, even trying the jalapeño cider. I didn't think it would be my thing but curiosity got to me..boy I was shocked at how smooth and delicious it was. I came here in the summer and loved every bit of my experience. The staff are nice and very whitey. The atmosphere is very laid back and the location itself is pretty intimate. They have a nice selection of ciders. No, they don't all taste the same lol. The best thing to do is start with flights so you can find ones you like. They also have little snacks like meat sticks, cheese sticks, crackers, and chips. Occasionally, in the summer time, there will be a food truck outside you can enjoy. I'm not sure how they are with bringing other meals in, but it's worth asking. read more

Brand new cider taste room in the heart of downtown Buffalo! The company, OSB, actually originated in Rochester and they have already been selling their cider in the Buffalo area (yes, all of the cider sold is made by them). The owner is very knowledgeable about her products and is very kind to her customers. The owner, Elise, has a wide variety of flavors, ranging from sweet to bitter. Most of the drinks don't have too much alcohol, however one of the flavors has 11% alcohol content. There's even a Beef on Weck flavor (HOLY COW). The drinks are also quite affordable - get a flight for $8! The taste room itself is very nicely designed. The lights are covered in large chunks of cotton, making them appear like clouds. The place is usually dimmed, creating a fairly intimate atmosphere. There is adequate seating, with a large bar and quite a few tables in the back. FYI, there are 2 restrooms. This is a great spot to check out on a cold night. It is remarkable how they have managed to open in the middle of the pandemic. I highly recommend you check it out, or AT LEAST give their cider a try at a local restaurant! read more

Love, love, loved this place! From the moment you walk in it is just, excuse my retro language, groovy! The decor is amazing... colorful, lit, fluffy clouds; greenery walls; a surf wave wall; and a bar with Garbage Pail Kids memorabilia. I also loved the music selection and they had beautiful hand-blown mugs for members. They sometimes have them for sale as retail items, but they just sold out the day before my friends and I visited. On to the cider... All of the flavors we had were delightful! They even have one that tastes just like au jus... funky for a cider, but quite innovative and not bad tasting! The bartender was really nice, they did have food options, but we were just there to have a couple drinks and move on to try other local options. I pretty much only drink hard cider when I'm looking for an alcoholic beverage, so I was very excited when OSB opened a new location in downtown Buffalo! They have a huge selection in ciders (I think anywhere from 10-12) to choose from, so I definitely suggest trying one of their generously poured flights! I really like Grape Lakes and Hold Crust Apple Pie ciders! Their decor is very cool, a lot of people know them for their awesome cloud lighting. Oh and how could I forget about the super cute dog that is usually there too! Parking is on the street, but we always can find a close spot! read more

I'm so glad that one of my close friends wanted to come here tonight. This cider hall is really cool. I got to meet one of the owners. Her name is Elise Smith. She was tending bar. She has a great attitude and was helpful with me finding the right ciders to try. (I decided on a flight. I was able to choose six of the 16 ciders to try. Many were delicious. My favorite one was the beet cider!!) Her dog was in the tasting room. He is a very friendly and awesome bulldog. His name is Sir Glenister. They have merchandise for sale here. (Coffee cups, trucker hats and cool shirts.) The seats are comfortable and the walls have really cool designs on them. The decor is cool too. They have cloud lights hanging from the sky that Elise made herself. On the bar top, underneath the lacquer are Garbage Pail Kids cards. The first Original Stump Blower is in Lakeville, NY 80 minute away. Come check out their newest location on Main Street in downtown Buffalo, NY. You definitely won't regret it!!! read more

I am a fan of Hard Cider, so when I saw a Step-out Buffalo article featuring this Lakewood, NY cidery to now grace the 500 block of Main St., I was stoked. Trendy decor is abound in this place (colorful clouds hanging from the ceiling , retro garbage pail kids cards on top of the bar, lots of OSB swag, of course) The owner's friendly Bull Dog greets you at the door, this place is pet friendly (allergy alert!) About 20 various flavors of Ciders are on Tap, so the $8 flight of 6 is the way to go to get the full experience. My favorite is the Catch me if you can (a gingerbread variety) with the Hold the Crust (Apple Pie) as a close second. I do wish this place offered some light food options (besides just chips) if they did, I would consider staying awhile and order more drinks as cider can make me tipsy without some food to soak it up. Maybe they can add some comfy couches in the back for lounging in the future. This place definitely has the potential to be a great hang out spot! finally got around to checking out Osb Ciderworks last night. was never that into ciders - they usually taste too similar and are generally pretty boring - but this place does everything outside the box. infusions, crazy flavor pairings, awesome staff and GUSHERS. they also have a few good beers/wines available. after, we walked a block up the street to check out Hearth + Press and was blown away. if you like jays artisan - you'll love this place. i grabbed the buffalo pizza and a custom "grandma" pie with vodka sauce, mozzarella, romano, goat cheese, caramelized onion and roasted red pepper. WUT. they also have a full bar and GREAT coffee. if you're looking for an easy night out, highly recommend heading to main and hitting both spots. crazy how that area has evolved over that last couple years. i remember catching the subway after going to the square and seeing homeless dudes take a shit on the corner where fattey beer co. is. now it's home to some of the best spots lolol read more

Buffalo, y'all need to try out OSB! Having been to the Lakeville location last fall, I made it to the Buffalo one on Thursday, and it was surprisingly un-crowded. The vibe is quite different than Lakeville, as the outdoorsy vibe of Lakeville isn't going to work downtown in a big city. The cider, however, is the same, and that's the reason to go here! There are about a dozen rotating varieties to choose from, with the selection varying by what's in season. The flight is the way to go to try a variety. There are sweet, semi-sweet, and dry ciders, always including a plentiful variety that feature more fruit than just apples. And you have to try the Scotch Bonnet cider! As someone who prefers medium salsa and avoids hot sauces, I was pleasantly surprised to find the Scotch Bonnet was one that I'd happily pick up at the local store if it were available in Ohio. The ciders do tend to be a bit on the strong side (6.5-7% ABC), but conveniently OSB is right next to the MetroRail. It's almost like they planned it that way! read more

This is easily the best bar in buffalo. I can see this place becoming my new go to place. The owner is beyond accommodating and very eager to help you decide which of the delicious ciders are best. It helps that I love cider but I think they have really interesting an inventive flavors that are all so tasty.
