Great new brewery out in Clarence. The owners are super nice and excited to tell you all about their current beers and future plans. I really appreciate the variety of beers they have for just being open a couple of months. We decided to try all 7 beers on tap - a hefeweizen, cream ale, marzen, two ipas, an oatmeal stout, and an ESB. All of them were solid and enjoyable, but I especially liked the hefeweizen and the oatmeal stout. My friends were really into the cream ale. They have a train theme going, and the name is based on the historic West Shore Railroad. A little local history with your beer is never a bad thing.

We had a Groupon for two samplers and I am so happy I tried this place! Little place with great atmosphere and service. I loved Green Flyer IPA and honestly all the rest! The oatmeal stout was good as well as the Big Alco. I will be back West Shore!

Fun, nice fresh beer, friendly staff. Enjoyed the patio and loads interesting historical stuff about the old railway.

Liked all of the beers we tasted, but loved the Green Flyer IPA, the Mango Sour IPA, and the Porter.

With a solid selection of house brews and a few cocktails as well, they also have an outdoor patio featuring a french fry stand and a stage for live music during the warm months. I'm also told they're partnering with revived hot dog brand Mister Sizzle to boost their food offerings in the near future. Not a whole lot to say, but they aren't trying to be much more. Not much of a nightlife in the outer exurbs of Buffalo, but this charming little brewpub certainly more than compensates for that.

Cool outdoor patio but if it's a hot day, the indoor space just doesn't provide comfort. I want to be on board with everyone else about this place, but I didn't like a single beer in the flight that I ordered & some aspects made me uncomfortable. It is definitely a local pub, with the 10 people that were already there. Everybody was watching when we came in, which, if you've ever experienced this you know it's uncomfortable and makes you feel like an outsider. The owner was nice, but he definitely was buzzed when he was trying to have conversations with us. This is just not a place. I would feel comfortable coming back to. The bartender was amazing though. She was super fun and friendly and made the whole experience worth going there.

We talked with Reanna and Michael about how they started their venture. Really nice couple and really nice business. It is worth the trip. There's a ton of comfortable seating whether you sit inside in front of the taps, in front of the window, at the comfy chairs, over in the book nook or outside, there's a great place to kick back and relax. I haven't even got to the beer yet. For a relatively new place (opened in September) they have their shit together. We tried the black IPA and the Citrice IPA. The Witches at black Masses was smoky and full of flavor. The Citrice was crisp and everything you'd like in an IPA. Amarillo hops are one of my favorite, and this beer didn't disappoint. For breweries I'd have to say the eclectic nature of this place, the beautiful countryside and the charisma of the owners make it a standout establishment. Besides the fact that they have a great selection of all kinds of beer. I even tried the Heffy and I liked that as well. Take a drive and make this a tasty rest stop. You won't be sorry...and don't forget to give Mabel a pat on the head.

The atmosphere is very cool and ecclectic with a masculine, antique, lodge vibe. The beers are tasty, and a few are very unique with green pepper cream ale and black IPA. I really enjoyed all of the samples I had, and I ended up purchasing the harvest spice seltzer. It was crisp and a little more like a cider than a seltzer. The owners are personable, and you can tell they are excited to have this new business open and gaining popularity. They will be open to small private event too, which is great if you live in the area.

The price was a bit more than I thought it was worth for the breakfast platter and shrimp & rice (not quite Hawaiian fried but good). Except for the lobster Mac & cheese. As we've eaten here before, we got the nachos and chicken Mac and cheese. The nachos were the saddest looking thing we've ever seen. No toppings on half of them. When we brought it to Michelle's attention, she offered to bring us more (pico, cheese and beans). She did say portion sizes have changed according to the kitchen-okay so $14 for less food, got it. But at least she tried. Then the mac and cheese came out. This couldn't be disappointing, right? Well. Despite us ordering the EXACT same thing, my husbands portion was literally double the size of mine!! It was like I had the kids version. I'm Not sure if Ray Charles was in charge of portion control but it was such a disappointment and we will not be back. $51 plus tip for a terrible valentines meal. Thank you, Michelle , for trying your best. NYBP, do better.

The Black Lager, Nut Brown Ale, Tropical Situation, Altar Ego, and Extra Special Bitter were what we tried and they were excellent! Food is superb here too. We started with the Whipped Feta which we tend to get a lot when it's available at different dispensaries and this one was easily one of the best we had. My Buffalo Chicken Burger was so delicious, crispy, and the Gorgonzola cheese added a lot to it as well. My wife ordered the Tofu Tacos which she enjoyed and liked even more when she added pickles that I didn't want from my burger. Wasn't as messy as she thought it was gonna be too! Our fries were nice and crispy and very well seasoned as well. Staff was excellent and gave great recommendations and we had great conversation with him. I know the menu has changed a bit since we went, so we're dying to try the new menu and new beers! Again, highly recommend stopping here!

I decided maybe Virgil was close enough to try it, and oh my goodness - I understood at once why poutine is so popular. If you also hail from a poutine-less area of the world, fear not - done well, it's a great dish. The beer was also excellent. I can see why The Black Lager is Canada's most award-winning Schwarzbier. There are some really good schwarzebiers in my city, and Silversmith's is right up there with them. I also have a Nut Brown Ale, and a small size of the Motueka, both of which I would get again. They know what they are doing with their food and drink. And the atmosphere is really good as well. The old-church-turned-brewery is beautiful. I'll let the pictures in other reviews do it justice. The service was good. It was relatively busy the night I was there, but the service was still quick enough and even a bit conversational - I recall one of the bartenders worked at Silversmith in the warmer months, and travels southeast Asia in the colder months, which is pretty cool. I would likely be a regular if I lived in the area.
