I have been a long time Clarks customer. I really like the styles, fit, comfort, plus I wear size 12 and they usually can accommodate that. I have many Clarks shoes, of all different styles. However, I've noticed that on some of my shoes, the materials do not last. The (fake?) rubber soles crumble or develop deep cracks. The (fake) leather finish on my ankle boots peels off. These shoes are not worn frequently and they're stored carefully. No other brand I buy has ever had this problem. I spoke to Thaakirah J at customer service. She provided bad service, going out of her way to offer nothing in the way of a discount or credit. I asked to speak to a supervisor, I provided photos. She refused to help. I have concluded that Clarks shoes don't actually wear out through normal wear, they simply disintegrate due to inferior materials. I always loved Clark Shoes but I recently pulled out a pair that had been given me a couple of years back, and the second time I wore them, the soles came off. I took photos showing that the shoes were essentially news and explained why I did not have a recipt. I wanted them to repair them. I've officially come to the realization that this very well may be the indicator light for reaching the pinnacle of adulthood! Not checking your credit score every other week trying to get it from 830 to 850, not your tax bracket, no car payments, a high annual fee credit card, PPO health insurance, multiple pensions and 401k, empty nesting, turning down the radio when you're looking for an address or even a very steady early bedtime. No, no my friends! Actively seeking out Clark's Shoes!!! Never in my life did I think I'd find myself excited to wander into a Clark's but it's hit, I've arrived. This is some adult shit if I've ever seen it. Comfort soles!!! I've found some extremely comfy shoes here that I personally don't think are down right heinous. I've trekked around the planet in pairs from here and I'm a fan. Of course I still love a 5inch stiletto just as much as the next petite woman but Clark's has some modest options that are great when you'll be in them and on your feet for hours. I actually find myself coming to Clark's to look for shoes. They have some options that I'm quite happy with. They also occasionally have great sales, and she loves a good sale (: I'd definitely recommend Clark's. They have some nice men's options as well. Great service!! read more

I have had three pairs of ladies' Clarks. The first pair was bought at the end of summer and so I didn't wear them immediately. When they were again season-appropriate, I got them out and wore them to work. The soles disintegrated into sticky black crumbs within minutes and I had to return home to swap out my shoes. Customer service told me they were "out of warranty" (neither shoes nor box indicated any warranty details) and offered no replacement or refund -- only a 30% off coupon. Meanwhile, I had bought two other styles. Pair #2 were clogs with soles that appeared to be a different material. I got perhaps five or less wears out of them before the heel part on one totally collapsed and a huge crack exposed that heel was actually hollow, and this time customer service was no better. I inspected pair #3 every time I put them on, and they were comfortable, but developed a hole in the sole before I would have expected them to wear out. I won't ever buy Clarks again! read more

Been shopping here for years now since my bf used to work here! I was never a fan of their shoes, mainly because they were focused towards older people and I never liked their style.... Till now!! I've been shopping here and got myself a few new pairs recently. I went all out with my mom and aunt a few years back and they have lasted me up until now! The only one I decided to replace were my Cloudsteppers because they are very worn for daily shoes but glad to know they lasted 3+ years. Got myself a new pair of Cloudsteppers times two! Much better style, not crazy about the grey ones I got because the heel part is higher than usual and rubs against the back of my foot. Took a while to break in but they're comfortable now. Shoutout to Grace who has always been a pleasure to work with! She's super sweet and always lookin for her when we come in to shop. I was shocked and disappointed by my recent experience at this store. I've been a loyal customer, purchasing multiple pairs of shoes, despite the manager, Grace Go, being unprofessional. I loved the quality of the shoes, so I would keep going back. When I tried to return a pair of boots that all scratched up after just a few hours of wear, Grace cited the store's policy on worn shoes, tried to get me out of the store passive aggressively. No apology for the poor quality or experience. The boots were $130, and I expected better quality. Instead, I got a rushed and dismissive experience. I called customer service where I received even more disrespectful attitude by a lady with an Asian accent, Marishka, who hung up on me after a few questions. I called back to receive exactly the same attitude, she was speaking over me and taking it personally even though I clearly explained the reason I was upset and was still nice and respectful to her. Worst experience ever!! I was able to return the shoes at a different location but I know for sure now, I used to go back because of the quality of the shoes despite unprofessional service, there's nothing left to go back for. read more

Not happy with the service at Sherman Oaks mall.I returned 2 shoes because they were very uncomfortable.I have a credit for almost a year and the shoes are always the same .I have not fond shoes that fit perfect in one year.I bought the 2 shoes with a credit a part with a credit card.I requested they put the amount i paid from the credit card on my card and the manager refused. 2014 YELP 100 CHALLENGE - 72/100 Pretty awesome store! I visited this Clarks location for the first time a few days ago. It was actually my first time stepping foot in a Clarks store so I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. I've been browsing their shoes online to potentially buy some for my boyfriend, so I wanted to check them out IRL. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted by both of their sales associates working the floor. One of them came over to me and asked me if I needed help finding anything. I believe his name was Adrian? Or something like that. I explained to him that I was looking for shoes for my bf and he immediately started recommending different types of shoes to me. He was so friendly and helpful and I really appreciated it! When Adrian went to go help some other customers that had walked in, the other sales associate came over to me and recommended more shoes to me. I guess she had overheard my previous conversation. She was really nice as well :) They had a decent sale selection at the time that I visited. They had a couple of mens' shoes, with a lot of them being 50% off. It was insane! Further into the store they had even MORE womens' shoes on sale. I kinda wished they had a bigger selection of mens' sales shoes to choose from. I was also looking at their Desert shoe collection, which I think is probably the most popular style of Clarks. They actually didn't have the color I was looking for, so that's the only reason why I'm docking off 1 star. Located on the 2nd floor of the Fashion Square Mall in Sherman Oaks, you will find a great shoe store called Clarks Shoes. I was introduced to this brand by a friend and I thank her till this day! Clarks Shoes are fashionable and VERY comfortable and durable. You get what you pay for. I've worn these shoes for years and I hope they continue the great tradition. I saw a shoe I like online Black Leather 26107111. I decided to go to the store last Saturday afternoon instead of ordering online. I asked the lady if I can try a size 6. I waited, waited, waited until I saw her in the register helping other customers, a good 15 minutes. I left to get coffee at coffee bean, came back. Told another sales rep that the lady in the register was helping me. She came to me and her response " thought you left" and I said I did because you never came back to me. She said "oh it's crazy" then she just said " lady no size 6". This is a horrible experience I ever had with Clarks. I hate to do this, since my boyfriend and i buy clarks all the time, but we had such a terrible experience at this sherman oaks store we thought we had to warn others. We came in five minutes before the store was supposed to close, and the manager of the store closed the doors right behind us - closing early! It took me probably five minutes to browse (so now it's actually closing time), and i asked one of the workers if i could try on two shoes. He happily obliged, and started walking back to the stock room to get the shoes, and the female manager stops him by saying we in a very rude way "umm it's already six o'clock, and we have sooo much work to do already...". I was totally shocked - a) don't let us in to the store if you're not going to help us, b) first rule of sales is you ALWAYS respect your customer, and c) your life can't possibly be so difficult and busy that you NEED to stop all sales immediately at closing, even with customers who are going to buy something standing right there.
