Great little bar/restaurant other than the non existent social distancing. Husband and I spent a long weekend in Weedsport and this place was half a mile from our hotel. Stopped in Friday evening after getting settled at the hotel. We parked on the street in front of the place and there were only 4 other cars parked so we were very surprised when we walked in and found the place was packed (40 people maybe?). The next thing we noticed was that the only masks we saw were worn by the two women behind the bar. However, one of the women was wearing hers over her mouth but under her nose and kept pulling it down and leaning forward to speak to customers which sort of defeats the purpose of wearing one but okay. We decided to just leave our masks on unless we were taking a sip of our drinks. Some people looked at us like we were weird but that's okay, we'll be the weirdos without COVID-19. The first night we ordered a BLT w/ tater tots, and a hot roast beef sandwich w/ mashed potatoes. We got it to-go (seemed like the best option, considering). They don't have to-go utensils so when I mentioned being in a hotel they sent us off with some silverware. I will say the food was very good, tasted fresh, and was still warm when we got back to the room. The second night we went out to dinner in the neighboring town of Auburn with some friends but we all stopped back in at CJ's for some after dinner drinks. This time we followed the lead of the people we were with and parked in the back. Aaaaaah, now we knew how there could be so many people inside yet so few cars out front. It was the same scene as the night before but even more people (50 people this time?). Not a seat available in the whole place and again not a mask in sight. As people left tables and others sat down at them there was no cleaning, let alone sanitizing, between customers. We stayed for a few and socialized with some of the locals. About half the folks were wearing snowmobiling gear. Weedsport people are nice, I'll give'em that! The third night we stopped in a little early in the evening to grab something to take back to the hotel and there were only about 8 people there. We ordered 2 orders of chicken tenders (which were very good, I must say! But odd that they were served on a bed of tortilla chips??) and we each had a beer while we waited. As we were sitting there I did notice there were condiment bottles on the bar (ketchup, mustard, salt and pepper) every 4 feet or so that stay out for use by customers. Most places, since the pandemic, only put condiments out once you've ordered food and they're often single use, for instance ketchup packets vs. a communal bottle. But not this place. They really seem to be functioning as though there isn't a pandemic going on. We also saw a jar of something labeled "Cuomo Pickles" and when we asked what they were it was explained that they were so you could "order food" to be in compliance with the criteria for drinking in a bar during the pandemic. That made me a little sad. My final thoughts about this place are that the people were all super nice, it was clean, and the food was really good. We would have stayed longer each night and spent more money but we just weren't comfortable with how lax things were. I'd love to give this place 5 stars but due to the non existent Covid precautions I can only give 3.

The most genuine New York experience you can get. Tons of culture and good vibes. Definitely worth the drive from Brooklyn.

I'm going here this Saturday (2/20/21) and I can't find a menu for it anywhere. Can anyone point me in the right direction?…

First time coming in & had a good experience. Place was clean & staff was welcoming. Place was a…read morelittle quiet, could've used some music or sports in the background. Beers were good but nothing out of this world special. Food was the same, only two options pizza and pretzel. Food was delivered hot and fast, again service was good. Overall good experience but expected a little better from a brewery.

I have driven by this place hundreds of times and made it a point to come tonight. Soooo glad I…read moredid! What a gem! This is a local craft brewery that offers a few food items and has local musicians play a couple times a week. Both indoor and outdoor seating and even a playground for the kiddos if you have them along with you. My boyfriend tried a flight of 6 different beers and enjoyed them all. Went back though and got their Blood Orange kolsch which is one we've tried before and is amazing. A LOT of orange flavor. They also make their own wood fired pizzas. We ordered a pepperoni pizza. My boyfriend also ordered the Bavarian Beast Soft Pretzel with what looked like a stone ground mustard. Super soft and huge!! Three of us were eating in it and we are still bringing some of that home! They also offered a salad. Honestly, that was AMAZING. It's made with butter and oak leaf lettuce, broccoli micro greens, grape tomatoes, sliced mushrooms, pepper dews, provolone and Parmesan cheese with their house Italian dressing on the side. Soooo good! They also had cheese curds, kettle corn, a variety of munchies and they offered canned craft ciders, spritzers, etc... They had a big crowd here tonight for the music. A local duo who was playing all 90's music. They were very good. Overall a great first experience! I am looking forward to coming again and I haven't even left yet!!

We had the chance to try some great beers, and one unique experience stood out: mixing two beers together, a concept similar to a blend in the wine world. As the bartender put it, "It's a game we like to play." On tap, they had a solid lineup: 1. Hector Logger - A traditional lager (4.9% ABV) 2. Goatmaster Kölsch - A crisp Kölsch (5.1% ABV), which I tried and really enjoyed 3. RedBeard - A Red Ale (5% ABV), a reliable go-to beer 4. Cream Ale - A bit different at 6.7% ABV, more robust than the typical lower-ABV versions 5. Golden Crush - A hazy IPA (5.1% ABV) that had nice fruit-forward notes, but not overpowering 6. X IPA - An Imperial IPA (7.8% ABV) Mosaic! Mosaic! - A Pale Ale (5.2% ABV) that followed the traditional pale ale profile and was very enjoyable 7. Goatmeal Stout - An Oatmeal Stout (8.1% ABV) Then came the blends--something I hadn't seen much of before. The only one I tried was 1. Goat Juice, a 50/50 mix of Hazy IPA and Kölsch (5.1% ABV). It was bursting with amazing flavors, the best of both worlds. Some of their other blends included: 2. Red X - A mix of Red Ale and Imperial IPA 3. Goatgasm - A Kölsch and IPA blend 4. Headbutt - A Stout and Cream Ale combo I tend to gravitate toward Hazies, Kölsches, and Pale Ales, so this place hit all the right notes for me. I can't wait to come back and see what new creations they have on tap next time!
