But as time has passed it's thinned out as my check list is vast and a lot of breweries are closing due to industry challenges and headaches. So it was time for Prison City. We had the Earth, Wind & Foeder which is a lager. It was pretty good, no complaints. Perhaps lacking just a tad in personality but not enough to ward away. Flavor highlights with this beer are hoppy, crisp, balanced and subtle which is maybe where I had the idea of the personality comment without realizing at the time it was purposeful. Also the beer is very light bodied like a light lager should be.

And who does not love a Hoffman Hot, right?! Then we saw that they had 11 menu items for just $5 on Thursday nights from 4-10 pm. We had to be downtown again the next night so we went back! We sampled amazing beer and wine from women brewmasters, had lectures, good food, made new friends and learned a lot about women's role in prohibition and history. The beertenders are always so friendly and willing to give recommendations.
