We ate here the other day for breakfast... Firstly, after we got seated, we didn't even get our place settings until after our plates were served. Even then, we still had to flag our waitress down to ask for them. Secondly, the price category should be more like 2 dollar signs, not 1. With that said, for the price I paid, while decent, the meals could have tasted better and more especially, the proportions... Great find for breakfast! It's nestled off the Main Street behind some businesses. I had their all meat omelette which came with hash browns and toast. Finished it all! I don't eat hash browns a lot but their hash towns were pretty good, which was also the concerns us of my family. The kids menu items were generous, my ten year old was satisfied. My other daughter could only finish half of her breakfast burrito because she was so full. Generally I would have finished it off but I was pretty full from my meal. Wifey had the two egg breakfast and she gave it a thumbs up. The staff provided good customer service and was very friendly, plus they kept my coffee cup full! read more

True "locals" restaurant that I would recommend to anyone coming in from out of town. We were looking for a good local's breakfast place and found it here at CJ's. I had the French toast which was on thick bread and very tasty. The orange juice was like fresh squeezed and the hash browns crispy and delicious. My husband had an omelet and said it was cooked just right. The coffee was good and the waitress extremely friendly. I came here due to yelp reviews ; I placed my order and repeated several times prior to hanging up, of course you guessed it order was wrong on one item and I ordered breakfast burritos . One was prepared wrong and the other was prepared correctly but it was dry as the desert I was in . To most most importantly was the lack of friendliness in the diner. This is the best grilled veggie sandwich I've ever had! I came with a big party before our basketball game. I'm a vegetarian so I've had a lot of veggie sandwiches. This was by far the best. The French toast is very tasty and my husbands ham & cheese omelette was good as well. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. On our way back to Phoenix from the beach and we wanted something beside fast food. Thanks to Yelp we found this place. Food was excellent, I had the eggs florentine and they didn't give me any problems when I substituted whites for poached eggs. Absolutely delicious! The hash brown were nice and crisply as well. My husband really enjoyed the French Dip while the kids gobbled up their cheeseburgers, served on English Muffins. Yum! The service was supper friendly and helpful Well worth the 5 minute drive off the I-10. We will be swinging back through on our next visit to the coast. Sat at the counter and saw the hectic server and kitchen...the team work hard and are friendly and very attentive. Customers seem to be served within minutes of arrival and they were busy today. I ordered a typical breakfast; eggs, bacon etc. The food was good, but the bacon came a little well done for my taste. My pet hate in some diners is the weak and tasteless coffee, but CJ's coffee was excellent. Overall 4 stars, come and visit this out of the way diner, it truly is a hidden gem. read more

Food is OK! Hostess had an attitude problem and so did the waitress and servers. But I order the 2egg biskit and gravy it was ok, it is a small portion for $9.75 but not only that I had asked for egg whites not the waitress did not mention that it would be a $1.50 extra like many restaurant I have been too they all have told me that is an extra charge. My bill came to $25.06 for my boy and me which is ridiculous for the portion size. I will not be returning to there crap service. read more

We found this place while staying at the Marriott villas around the corner. We enjoyed breakfast on a Sunday morning. We were seated promptly and had super friendly service. Our food also arrived very quickly. Contrary to other reviews, all the servers seemed very friendly and interacted with the customers. We went in for breakfast (four) and they were busy but we got a table right away We got coffee and ordered but waitress did not give us Silver wear. They brought food still no silver ware we waited full 5 min. And asked 5 different people including our waitress for silverware and all walked away but did not bring any. Finally they brought 4sets as the food was getting cold. They said they were out of forks but several tables seated after us had Silver wear. My toast was not toasted or warm and we could not get anyone's attention till we were almost done. Last time we were there my wife's toast was burnt so much as to be not edible. Took 10 minutes for someone to come over and take our drink order, then the server never came back. We waited around for over 25 minutes before flagging down a server to take our food order. We came here for breakfast at around 9:45 this morning. When we were waiting for a table 4 different people came up w a complaint so we were right off the bat concerned. then when we sat down the waitress came to take our order in a timely fashion. Then we waited about 15 minutes for the food which was just okay. everything on my plate was super greasy. Then another lady came by so i mentioned that my eggs didn't come with cheese like i ordered. she just looked at me and said "ok". so i got someone else's attention and she took my plate back to get cheese on the eggs. It took forever to get the check.... and all the staff was super unwilling and not hard working. will not be back. read more
