    CITRUS PANCAKES

Came here after a team outing nearby to grab some brunch. I haven't been here yet and was excited to finally put a check next to this spot on my list. The space was inviting with lots of seating as expected since it's such a popular establishment. The server was fast and friendly and open to offering us suggestions. I ordered a seasonal cocktail which was ok. I also ordered the citrus pancakes which were pretty yummy. I ordered grits as well but they were forgotten so I just said never mind on those as I tried someone else's and wasn't a huge fan. The food was solid but did not blow me away. I would come here again if asked but wouldn't go out of my way for it.

We went on a Saturday morning after sporting event and quickly were able to put our name down and was seating within 10 minutes. All our food turned out amazing and was more than enough for our family of five. The staff was very friendly and were greeted and sent off with a smile by the workers. Highly recommend!

Atmosphere is amazing! Worth every penny. Ask for signature Bloody Mary and the she crab soup is to die for! Service is very attentive and wholesome. Fantastic! Guess we got "unofficially cut off" after two Bloody Mary drinks. We have a designated driver of course. Still... Good to know if you come here... All in all, Thank you very much

It was okay, just okay. The food is so so basic, nothing spectacular at all. Service takes a LONG time. The restaurant itself isn't that clean or organized.

Stopped by on a Sunday morning, and even though the place was buzzing with energy, we were seated right away, always a great start! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, though not the most recent décor the place is nice and clean. The menu has all the brunch classics you could want--fluffy pancakes, hearty omelets, rich eggs Benedict, and, of course, an impressive selection of mimosas and other brunch cocktails. I decided on the citrus pancakes, and they were absolutely delicious. The sauce was bursting with flavor, and the combination of pineapple and banana worked perfectly. The portion was so generous I couldn't even finish my plate (which says a lot!). I paired it with a classic mimosa, and it was just right, refreshing, crisp, and the perfect brunch companion. Beyond the food, the service was excellent. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. It's always nice to be in a place where you feel genuinely taken care of. Another plus- the kids' menu had great options, making it a fantastic spot for families as well. Overall, this place checks all the boxes for a great brunch experience: delicious food, great drinks, welcoming atmosphere, and top-notch service. Can't wait to come back and try more from the menu!

Great food and great service! Wonderful way to start the day with great food, great service, and a wonderful atmosphere. After being seated, we were seen too quickly for drink orders. After that, ordering was quick and easy. The menu gave great breakfast options and everything was prepared well. As a plus for our kids, the food looked just like all the pictures we looked up on Yelp so presentation was on point. All in all, a wonderful eating experience that I would whole heartedly recommend to anyone.

Our waitress was great! Super patient! ND accommodating! Offer some suggestions/options and helped us navigate all the good eats! Lol A nice open and welcoming atmosphere accompanied by good more cocktail and coffee options... With quick serve, you are sure altogether walk out with a desire to return!!!

We came to citrus on a Tuesday afternoon No wait and the food is outstanding! The grapefruit mimosa is the best I've tried in the area. The service is great, too! Prices really aren't bad especially compared to places like ihop now, you get better tasting food for about the same price. Excellent breakfast

We were seated quickly a large booth for just the two of us. I had a large latte with a cute design and a regular coffee that came with what seemed like unlimited refills! Ordered chicken and waffles that was a large piece of chicken breast. The waffle had a good flavor crispsy on outside and soft on the inside. that came with 2 any style eggs and a side of crispy parmesean rosemary tater tots. Also ordered eggs Benedict which were perfectly cooked. Our server was very sweet and checked on us the perfect amount.

The Citrus is one of the breakfast places in the area that are open early (6 am for N Great Neck and 7 am for W Great Neck). It's perfect for us when we want to skip our usual breakfast routines (aka breakfast chains or eating at home). The best part is that they serve Eggs Benedict. Food: * The Citrus Reuben is delicious, and the portion is just right for breakfast/brunch. * Lump Crab Benedict has a good amount of crab on the patty, plus how can I say no to "on the house" onions and peppers to top the hashbrowns? I just wish that the patty and the hash brown is crispier and not too soggy. Ambiance: This restaurant is bright and welcoming. Price: With suitable serving sizes, their food is affordable. Service: Maybe we came in too early during the day, and our server was barely present, but she was accommodating. If you want an early breakfast, you should put Citrus on your list.

This is my third time dining here, and every time is just as satisfying. I love their food selection and menu, it's always delicious and the service is great. Our server was so attentive to even small details. It's a quiet breakfast place for friends gathering and doing our ladies group.

This location is my favorite. What more could a girl ask for breakfast and mimosas. The service was superb and we didn't have a wait at all. I had their banana pancakes with the delicious walnut syrup concoction....yummy scrambled eggs and sausage links. We ate at the bar and it was just a great time.

Brilliant idea. The hostess took our name and phone number and we received a txt when our table was ready. The hostess was very friendly and attentive. The ambiance was amazing. Since it is mainly a seafood restaurant the aesthetic was ocean or bay themed. They had great decorations of coral reef and other things found in the ocean around the restaurant. They had a great seating area for patrons who were waiting for a table. The service was impeccable. Our waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Since it was our first time at this restaurant we were unsure about what we should order. She gave great suggestions. We ordered the fried oysters, oyster burger, and shrimp with vegetables and eggs. We also ordered a pineapple crush and the localizer. The food was very flavorful and fresh. The oyster burger was very unique it had a fried oyster on top of the patty which was great. It was cooked to perfection and very juicy. The fried oysters were great as well. They came with Pita bread and spinach dip to make an oyster sandwich. Amazing!!! The drinks were on point as well. They weren't too strong but they weren't weak either. I recommend trying out this restaurant if you are in the area. It is totally worth the wait.

The chocolate espresso martini was the perfect complement to my meal. My wife loved her spicy margarita and described the French toast as beautifully balanced with fresh, warm flavors. This is a must-stop every time we come to VA. Highly recommend.

5 stars - May 14, 2026 - Virginia Beach, VA…read more Stopped by The Atlantic during happy hour and this place absolutely lived up to the hype. Between the atmosphere, service, location, pricing, and quality of the food, this was an easy 5-star experience for me. It's only about a block from the beach, and to top it off they offer complimentary valet parking, which was a huge plus in the Virginia Beach area. We ordered the happy hour raw oysters ($12 for 12) and the "Oysters Rock" ($12 for 12), and both were outstanding. The Oysters Rock were very similar to Oysters Rockefeller and were perfectly done -- rich, flavorful, and cooked just right without overpowering the oyster itself. The East Coast oysters on the half shell were also excellent. I'm not exactly sure where on the East Coast they were sourced from, but they were a good size with deep cups and loaded with oyster liquor -- fresh, clean, and briny in the best way possible. The drinks were one of the biggest surprises. A generous-sized martini for $4 and a large mojito for $4? In a nice restaurant this close to the beach? That's almost unheard of these days. The well rum was only $2 and the well gin was $4. Incredible happy hour prices all around. The hush puppies ($20 for two orders) were very good too, although I would've liked a little more crab in them. The only real markdown of the meal was the Hamachi sashimi/yellowtail ($12 happy hour price). It tasted fine, but the portion was definitely on the small side and didn't really feel worth the price compared to everything else we ordered. We also tried the calamari ($12), shrimp flatbread ($9), and elote ($14), and overall the food quality across the board was very solid. Service from Leanon was excellent -- friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the meal. I live in California but travel to Virginia Beach frequently, and this place has officially moved near the top of my must-return list every time I'm in town. Great seafood, great vibe, amazing happy hour pricing, and a perfect beach-area location. Hard to beat.

Drinks: I tried the Grey Goose Strawberry Mule (10/10) it was soooo good! I was happy I gave this a try because it just might be my new fav drink. I also tried the Long Beach Tea (8/10) it was pretty good. Food: we shared some Chicken Nachos (10/10) we completely cleaned the plate. It was a great portion size, hot, fresh, and delicious; loved the flavors all together. I ordered the Spicy Jambalaya with linguine (10/10) yummy flavors, wasn't too spicy, and again, a good portion size. Tasted the Buffalo chicken pizza and it was actually pretty decent. I was very pleased with everything ordered for dinner. For dessert, we tried the Brookie (10/10) exactly what I needed and was craving. Cleaned the plate entirely. It was so good! Our server was Nathan and he was friendly and accommodating!! I like the amount of happy hour options compared to some other restaurants with just a few. We got burger sliders with fries, calamari, poke nachos, and chicken lettuce wraps. The calamari was ok but it was some very tough ones to chew and the portion was small. The tartar sauce that came with it was good and a little spicy. The poke nachos were decent, but I'm not a raw girly to often, so I'd definitely ask if it could be seared. I put it in the air fryer at home, and it was pretty good. My daughter enjoyed it!! The lettuce wraps were just ok, the chicken was kinda rubbery and chewy. The wonton shell was delicious though and the sauce was good. My sliders were supposed to be all the way with lettuce, tomato, onions, and secret sauce. But when they came to the table they were plain with no sauce. I started to eat and about 5 minutes later the food runner brought my correct order. They said they gave me the table next to ours food. So the waiter came back to take it back, and I asked if they'd throw it away? He said yes! Which kinda bothered me. I asked since it was going in the garbage and it wasn't my mistake, could I keep it. He said the manager wouldn't allow it. With inflation why would the manager rather trash perfectly good food? It makes me nervous when restaurants take food back. If it's sat down on a table it shouldn't be returned, just take the loss, because how do I know your not going to replace it and serve it to someone else. I'm not a fan of that!! I'm not accusing them of doing that, but that's the thoughts that run through my mind in situations like that. The table was spacious at the booths and it was clean inside. There's street and garage parking. We went on a good day when it wasn't a wait for a table. The hostess was very nice. She was cheerful and engaging! I'd go back to try other happy hour dishes. Check them out!!
