My family and I visited this restaurant for brunch on February 28th. The atmosphere is a casual setting, and there is an option of booths or standard table seating. We were greeted with professionalism when we arrived and were seated promptly. We ordered a variety of drinks as well as entrees. The pineapple berry agua fresca was absolutely tasty and refreshing. Everyone enjoyed their food. Each dish had a good portion size. Besides the drink mentioned above, some of our favorites included the cajun shrimp & crawfish omelette, the apple crunch French toast, and the shrimp and grits. We had two mishaps. The Hendricks Hurricane drink was not mixed appropriately; there were clumps of coconut floating around in it giving the appearance of spoiled milk, and it also did not taste good, so we had to return it. Secondly, I ordered my omelette without the andouille sausage as I am allergic to pork. Unfortunately, as I was eating my omelette, I happened to see that the middle had a few pieces of sausage in it. I informed the server of the situation. She handled it quickly, very professionally, and was proactive in providing a resolution. The manager also came over to apologize for the situation and ensure that the resolution was adequate. I was highly impressed with their Customer Service. I felt that they genuinely valued me as a customer and wanted to make sure that the situation was adequately rectified. This was truly appreciated. We've been here a few times. The first two times we went, the food was good. And then on the third time, I made the mistake of ordering a salad. It was the worst salad I have ever seen. Came for brunch after church. It wasn't packed so we were seated quickly near the bar area. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles with the tenders in their buffalo. I got the brown egg biscuit sandwich with fruit and a side of gumbo. Our server who was also the bar tender asked my husband if he wanted the tenders on top of his waffle bc the sauce would make the waffle soggy. He asked for the tenders in the side. Tried talking to the waitress to get a kids order in early while we adults were still trying to decided. The $5 pancakes were so tiny and luke warm. My MIL also got the fritter. I'd say the fritter had a yummy flavor and was filling - a 8/10. The sausage that came with it was delicious - 9/10. Beignets were hot but hard, 6/10. My son had difficulty eating them and I had to cut them. We asked about the tiny pancakes and she said if we ordered them differently then they would have been normal size (same price) but because we added them to the meal, they are tiny (ie they were trash). The bacon was decent and flavorful, but everything else was so bland it practically tasted like cardboard. No amount of salt or pepper could fix the gravy, imagine a spoonful of soggy flour on top of (I will say, decent) biscuits. My partner's grits were also completely flavorless and watery, along with everything else in the bowl. We hate wasting food, but unfortunately most of it was inedible and we ended up paying while leaving full plates behind. So disappointed with this place. I think they were short in the kitchen. First, their website has a waitlist that means nothing at all. I checked in with the host when we got there and they had no electronic waitlist and just wrote my name down as if I was a walk in. The manager told me "you still have to put your name on this list ". I felt like telling him, that is not the purpose of a waitlist and that's not how it works. So then he told us it was only a 15 minute wait only to find that he told everyone that as they walked in! We ended up waiting over 35 minutes and then finally sat down and the waitress was very kind and took our order right away. I decided on the Shrimp & Grits with a 1/2 order of the Biscuit Beignets and my daughter created her own omelette (which came with potatoes and toast) with a 1/2 order of pancakes. The Biscuit Beignets were served first and I loved them! They were covered in a generous amount of powdered sugar which made them pretty sweet but they were really good. The Shrimp & Grits weren't bad but they had a strong Worcestershire-like taste to them that was a bit off putting. I did add some salt, pepper and hot sauce and it definitely helped. My daughter enjoyed her omelette and the pancakes were absolutely delicious. We did order a mocktail and a mimosa and they both were great, very refreshing. Overall, I will definitely be returning back to try the other items. I love the modern rustic decor, it definitely gives the restaurant a unique feel. Joined the waitlist for minimal wait when we arrived at the restaurant. This was our second time and it's just as good as the first. We started off with drinks- salted caramel cold brew for me and margarita for my babe. Both were great. Last time I ordered the butter pecan cold brew. I think I like the salted caramel better. I ordered the lobster and Brie omelette and it is definitely my favorite omelette. My fiancé ordered the madri gras omelette and my daughter ordered the traditional breakfast. This could've been at least a 4 star for the food and design of the restaurant but the service dropped it to a 3. We went on Father's Day which was busy but we had extended waits and lack of service. We checked in for 2 and they said it would be 30-40 mins, which was no problem. When it went past 45 mins we went to the hostess table because we hadn't heard anything. They were able to seat us shortly after. We sat down and we're greeting quickly. We hadn't had time to look at the menu so we just ordered waters with lemon and told our waitress we'd be ready when she came back. She came back with the waters and no lemon. She said she would drop off some food and be back to take our order. She did not come back. I had to flag her down 15 mins later. We then ordered a spiked cold brew, the Hey Lucy omelette and crab benedict and asked for lemons. She didn't write anything down. About 20 mins went by and my drink still wasn't delivered nor were the lemons. We asked another waitress at that time if she could find our waitress and locate the drink and lemons. She did which was great. Then another roughly 30 mins went by before our food came. One dish was incorrect so she had to take it back. At this point I had waited over an hour from the time we ordered food to eat. Other tables that ordered after us received their food before us. I have waitressed for many years and if my food takes over an hour it should be comped. Now to the good part, the spiked cold brew was delicious and my dad enjoyed his omelette. He said it was flavorful with the chorizo and the salsa was good on it. I liked the crab in my benedict but I think the Cajun benedict sauce would've been better with shrimp. I wish I would've asked for the herb benedict sauce instead. It was all made well but I would try something different next time. 2nd time here but 1st time for lunch. And lunch was just as delicious as breakfast. Customer service was outstanding and friendly. Greeted immediately with some smiling faces. We sat outside on the beautiful patio with nice tables, chairs and a small couch seating area, umbrellas and a small fire decoration type thing that wasn't on. The lunch menu is definitely smaller than breakfast. I got the Sonoma Club Sandwich which was ham, turkey, baked bacon, guacamole, cheddar jack cheese, tomato and red onion on white or grain. The bacon is nicely crisped. Love it. Bread was toasted. Everything was super fresh. I did get a side of their amazing grits. Gouda cheese, bacon, scallions, tomatoes.
